@JJP8XIV7 ай бұрын
Easier said than done. I sharpened a mail ninja sword for a neighbor. It was a sharp as anyone could make gave it a new handle wrap for comfort. Kid took it to some bushes and it shattered. I told him it would as the weapon had slits and holes all over it. I warned him it was not structurally sound.

@@JJP8XIV absolutely. There are *some* mall ninja weapons that could possibly be redeemed, even if it is to a new form.
@JJP8XIV7 ай бұрын
@@lukkaredwolf3534 really gonna depend on material really. Any sword made from 440 stainless won't hold up. Maybe against an attacker it might. Some knives probably best. Maybe a dagger with a wonky handle put a proper hilt on it might have something. I have sharpened many mall ninja swords they all broke. I constructed a machete out of bed frame that's in one piece warped to hell and back but not broken. If I heat treated them they wouldn't warp so easy.

@@lukkaredwolf3534 had a few BUDK knives and swords they have all broken. Last thing I have is a robin hood dagger obviously fake but it's got a decent blade and hilt actually really solid.

@@JJP8XIV I mean, that is kind of the challenge. I have a mall ninja knife that was named "Leviathan" (que internal cringe). I could see re-hilting it might result in a possibly more functional item. Maybe the mall ninja bec-de-corbin I have only has a semi functional top blade, but maybe that can be used for a small dagger... That kind of thing.

Shad.... its a punch weapon..... the "knife" is a brass knuckles thing... Those swords breaking at the handles makes sense. They designed them for looks and sometimes sharpness. Mass produced. The "staff" honestly works better as a grenade. It may actually hurt someone when coming out. But not in anything else. Mass produced single cut sheet weapons are cheap. Thats why people buy them. Older designed weapons should be harder to make, more expensive, and worse over all.... They aren't for some reason But they should be. LoL. A single tool steel or tungsten hybrid rapier :D. Maaaaybe carbon fiber great swords ;D

Back in my youth, EVERYONE wanted the dagger of the Green Ranger. You know, the dagger with he thick and hollow blade that has holes in it because it's a flute. The dagger that also has valves on the handle, indicating that the tang of the dagger is hollow too for the air flow of the flute and simply holding the thing would likely feel really uncomfortable 😁

If it has utility, functional, reliable, and durable then the looks mean nothing. If a 50cal Barrett fires and hits the target then it being painted marble blue is irrelevant. I think that's key to something being mall ninja or not. Like people driving rice clout stanced cars.

@Seriously_Unserious7 ай бұрын
Rigid stick - "A far superior weapon in every way" Says Shad - but I politely disagree. There are cases where nuncuks would be better then a big ass stick. When you're working and just need a personal defense weapon and you're not a soldier fighting wars, so all you need is something small that you can tuck out of the way in your belt, without big bits sticking out and catching on things and getting in the way, a pair of sticks with a flexible bit in the middle so you can fold it in half and tuck it in your belt and ACTUALLY HAVE IT WITH YOU as opposed to that big long stick that gets in the way and you can't do anything with it but leave it behind as it keeps getting in the way and you need both hands free to do your actual work, and can't have a big ass stick poking out of both ends of your belt and knocking into people's knees or catching on anything you're trying to carry or swing around as you WORK. The weapon you can actually have with you on your person when you need it, is always far, far superior to the weapon you had to leave behind because it was getting in the way. And that is, in my common sense opinion, the true reason for the nunchucks, a weapon that ties 2 short sticks together to maintain reach when being used as a weapon, while keeping a flexible centre so the weapon can be folded up and tucked out of the way when not in use, so workers can work, but still have a conspicuous means of personal defense if accosted.
