Shad, I really like this supercut format. The longer vid is still available for people with deep interest, but this is something I can watch while grabbing a coffee and then get back at my day. Thank you!

As much as I might prefer the longer fare, this "Coffee-Break-Length" material makes me smile. Keep 'em coming.

I have to say: even though I love long rants and analysis vids, this bite-sized format is pretty neat when I want to relax and don't have much mental capacity left. Great editing work, and makes me want to come back for a longer version.

This was fun. As hubby and I are trained for real, we have had to laugh when friends find "cool" stuff and think we'd like it. Or worse, when someone seems to think they've watched enough movies and videos to actually call themselves real. 😂 Oh the strange ideas they have. Though I did challenge one friend to get real training, and now he's like five years into it, and his youngest daughter has joined him. She's 13, and has already used her training to rescue someone from a fire and another from two bullies. Proud of her.

I own a bladed baton. It's so sharp that I've taken a sheath from a duller display sword I have and use it on this. However... It's doubled edged on the long edge of it. So, the edge meant to most likely guard your forearm and elbow from strikes is edged on two sides, while the short end has a single edge. Then again, a baton is suppose to be flipped to whichever side you need in the moment, offensive or defensive. It should be a single edge blade completely, with maybe only a double edge portion on the tip for better penetration (as it's a stabbing weapon clearly by design, and not a slashing one). Otherwise, I consider this thing my deadliest weapon I own. Beyond that, most of these "mall ninja" weapons (I had to watch the video to see what you meant by it) are designed for "looking cool" first and functionality as "eehhhh... maybe?" much farther down the line on consideration.

Hey Shad the golden sword doesn't cut worth a damn and breaks the first time it comes on contact with something without give. An old neighbor had one had me sharpen it which it was extremely sharp against weeds yeah it did fine trees it broke. Speaking I have been thinking about trying to make a double blades double hilted sword maybe even have it be able to come apart or not. Great video Shad.

I collect mall ninja weapons because they look cool. I collect authentic reproductions as well. I don't really think of mall ninja stuff as weapons. To me they are more like sculptures with sharp and pointy bits. They are for display, or just to have. I don't really think it's cringy unless you carry them in public like you would a real weapon. Actually, I think carrying a real sword in public just as an everyday thing would be cringy. It would be legal in my state, but anyone who does it isn't looking to defend themselves, they're just looking for attention.
