Brilliant. This is EXACTLY how it happens. Bad parenting disconnects us from ourselves and our ability to trust ourselves, to self soothe etc.

Great interview! Couldn't we understand the ideas of an economy as adding value to help others and this will create benefit for all? Better products and services to benefit life? If we are more connected to our kids then ultimately the economy would reflect that.

So what can we do about it? How can we become more in touch with our emotions in the moment?
@luckycharm12123 жыл бұрын
It is by developing the courage to feel our feelings as bodily sensations. It sounds simple but it is the most challenging part when we are triggered. We react, numb ourselves and develop personality disorder because we are so scared to feel. Our feelings are true to ourselves. It is our authentic self. Heard the phrase you are not your emotions? But acknowledging your emotions through feeling them is authenticity.

The needs of society and proliferation of the species depends on maintaining their role in the system. Not all salespeople can or should be regional mgr who would do the ftf interaction with the consumer. That being said how do your part in the grand scheme and also to realize your personal potential and live with higher standards of self realization and understanding . Is it possible to to do both? Ok now I am going to my job at Spacely Sprockets.

No. You need a good probiotic and you need to learn to love yourself which means walking away from all those who abuse you. To heal, you need to go back to each situation where you're having flashbacks and to get that fragmented piece of yourself, you'll see that piece as you at the age you were when it happened. Go back into that situation and do whatever you have to in your mind to rescue her, bring her all the way back home and put her into your heart where she's safe. Welcome her back. This will stop the flashbacks because that self is no longer in the situation. Go into every single situation you remember and get yourself and bring her home. That includes memories of abuse to yourself, if you wanted to or tried to kill yourself to stop the pain because you didn't know how else to handle it; go and get that part too. It may take a long time but keep doing the work and get OFF the drugs. They will only add another layer of stuff you have to handle. YOU are strong enough. You can do it. You really can. Also, do this exercise. Every day put time aside for at least fifteen minutes and quietly sit there and say to yourself your full maiden name and then say "I love you unconditionally". You won't feel like you do but just say that for fifteen minutes every single day. It will also start the healing process.
@luckycharm12123 жыл бұрын
@@CityThatCannotBeCaptured I agree with everything except the "i love you unconditionally" part. You can't cheat your mind with affirmations which aren't true. It will send horrible depression and anxiety symptoms to someone with PTSD. Why? Because love is an action and every action is followed by responsibility and accountability. If you do not resolve your trauma or take action to change the things that you hate about yourself you can never convince your mind that you love yourself. Affirmation by its name is reinforcing the truth or fact and not something that never happened. Try saying i love myself for 1 minute. Your mind will send sarcastic remarks like, "how can you when you can't even lose weight, have friends, a partner and being so unhealthy? Will someone who love themselves do such harm to their own selves?" So fix your habits and include self-care like eating right, exercising and sleeping early. Fixing the biological functions can speed up the healing process. Then you can tell yourself "i love myself" coz now you have actual proof!

Yes, briliantly. But I have no clue how to rediscover myself...
@luckycharm12123 жыл бұрын
That's very easy. Think about the things(the basic non harmful things) for which you were punished or ridiculed for. And at present what are you so terrified of trying that you fear judgment even if it's none of anybody's business? Which deeds of yourself you criticize the most? That's your trueself. Due to the constant criticism and punishment it was suppressed by you for a very long time. Also try to have a list of your "favourite" and "not your type" of things like color, food etc. Write the qualities that you admire/despise in others. If you can recognize it in others then it's in your shadow. Try to integrate it. After all your trueself is a combination of things that are "good" and "evil"...

I believe this can happen in other relationship later in life as well- friends and or boyfriend/girfriend. If your parent gave you connection and the opportunity to be somewhat authentic, I still think you have to learn the same lesson as an adult.

Maybe for some people it is spiritually damaging. But I love my job. I work for myself. I have financial freedom and I'm spirtually thriving. I help as many people as possible. Like Gabor Mate says, it's a matter of finding one self. Once you find yourself you will learn to love whatever you do, or find a job that you love, or even better, create a job you love. Those are my thoughts anyway.

@@0i0l0o I'm also from former "communist" country. I can assure you, even our Yugoslavia which was very mild and progressive compared to Soviet Union and China, wasn't really an example of socialist society. There were elements certainly, but these elements aren't defining factors according to the textbook definition of socialism and what it really meant and entails. I know, many will accuse me of bringing the old "it wasn't a real socialism/communism" argument. So what, I stand by it. The only pure leftist experiments (socialist, anarchist, commmunist) ever implemented where on a smaller scale like unions, communes, municipalities or worker co-ops. Successful but mostly obscure in the eyes of general public, under their radar (general public is mostly interested in cultural war than serious economical analysis). I agree with Gabor - no matter how you call this system, it is only about profit and numbers over people and quality. This system will never allow people to take control over their lives. It's designed that way.
