I would say that she does look nice, for myself I'm starting to look more deeper into Aretha her past and things that I never knew about her course. I just recently looked at the genius Aretha, I feel that it was something that needed to be talked about. I want to talk about the success and all the good but the bad I mean people have lot of things that goes on in their life good and bad and that what makes Us special. The audience referring to her as "Aretha" makes me cringe. Yes, that's her name, but she deserves RESPECT. Call her Ms. Franklin.

IDK Elvis wasn't called Mr. Presley They were born 7 years and 77 days apart, ..Elvis being older..and died on same day 40 years and 12 months apart

Amongst Blacks - across the world - calling someone older by ther first name is disrespectful. My mother would refer to someone of Aretha's age as Sis Aretha and I'm expected to refer to her as Mam Aretha or Aunt Aretha.

@Regina Dillard I felt the same. Every time they said Aretha, in my head I was saying Ms. Aretha.

Good note but also note all questions from audience members who are African American started with “Ms. Franklin”. They were clearly raised right and know RESPECT 😊❤

So here I am, and because I love history, i decided to check out the Genius Aretha series...i was never an Aretha fan...she was before my time, but she did have a hit with one of my favs George Michael in the 80's when I was growing up, so i knew of her. Thanks to modern technology of streaming i discovered Genius...and i realize not all is true in these bio-series, ala The Crown and others, but Aretha's story has gotten to me, and i want to know more. She was a true Genius, a musical genius with lots of inner turmoil but with lots to offer the world, and in spite of her troubles in life (her father, losing her mom, etc) she stayed strong and never stopped shining. Can't wait for her bio-pic to be released later on in 2021...by the way, let's see who does it better: Cynthia Erivo or Jennifer Hudson. Now let me get back to her music 🎵🎵🎵. Long live the Queen.

I love how she never lets anyone or any question move her... Aretha was smart and understands how ppl would love to exploit her and would love to make a fool of her but that ole airy girl always ready!!!
