A lot of Rogan’s success has to do with being first at long form conversations/interviews and he listens without interrupting. His strategy of fence sitting or playing dumb anytime politics would come up I’ve always seen as sorta obnoxious. I think he’s more honest now, but he spent years tiptoeing around liberals/democrats, afraid of being associated with his conservative/libertarian beliefs. Hard to respect that.
@NopeOnARope_5 ай бұрын
@@chevelle1 It's actually smart because (besides his right to remain silent) the likes of DeNiro or Whoopie Goldburg or Stephen king or Eminem insulting half their fan base for not agreeing is not where it's at. Civility in civics is rare anymore. Also, Rogan has always been kinda centrist/classic liberal anyway so it's not a stretch for him to sit on the fence, but I also noticed he doesn't like to buy shit wholesale and prefers to have all the facts before dying on a hill. Also it was once commonplace to keep your political commentary to yourself. That's why polling booths have privacy. It's no one's business if you don't want it to be. And as I was once a bartender once upon a time, it's just good practice not to bring religion and politics into mixed company conversations. Pretty well-known rule. Rogan did it all right, but with common sense, not calculation.

I lived near Dayton years ago. Dayton had been politically and socially corrupt for many decades. Every mayor used the office to appoint family and steal everything they could, and the population that habitually voted for them was infantile, damaged, and boring. My education system expected me to 'push' university...not trades...more importantly that 'gap year' is NOT an opportunity to party, play video games, but to be productive in some way to gain experience.

Same here. We were used to push the indoctrination lie. I was a school counselor for 18 years. I finally had to take early retirement due to illness. I would have been fired because there was a mom transing her 1st grader and I wouldn't have gone along with it. I was able to preserve 40% of my retirement and live comfortably in rural East TX. I am now a homeschooling advocate.

Ari says comedians dont know anything about politics, but Dave Smith knows more about politics and foreign affairs than most "experts"
@DingleBerryschnapps5 ай бұрын
Dave Smith knows as much as any other red pilled person. Anyone that reads or watches three hours minimum of current events a day, and cross-references it with the history they've read can easily know as much. Having said that, what you did is offer anecdotal evidence using one example. The fact is, majority of comedians don't know politics. They're Air heads just like actors.

@@doubled5368 yes and I got off. I’ll watch Tucker, but you know, times have changed.
