நாங்களும் கோயம்பத்தூர் தான் மா. இந்த சாதம் செய்யும்போது குக்கர்ல எண்ணெய் விட்டு கடுகு, சின்ன வெங்காயம், தக்காளி, நிறைய வெள்ளை பூண்டு, கருவேப்பிலை, வர மிளகாய் இவையெல்லாம் ஒன்றன் பின் ஒன்றாக சேர்த்து வதக்கி மஞ்சள் தூள் தேவைப்பட்டால் சிறிது சாம்பார் தூள் சேர்த்து தண்ணீர் சேர்த்து கொதி வந்த பிறகு ஊற வைத்த அரிசியையும் பருப்பையும் சேர்த்து உப்பு சரி பார்த்து விசில் வைத்து இறக்கி நெய் சேர்த்து சூடாக சாப்பிட்டால் வேற எந்த உணவும் இதற்கு ஈடாகாது. தொட்டுக்கொள்ள ஊறுகாய், அப்பளம் அல்லது கத்திரி உருளை பொரியல் super combination. துவரம் பருப்புக்கு பதிலாக பாசி பயிறு அல்லது தட்டை பயிறு சேர்த்தும் seyyalam.

Namasthey Revathy Madam, my wife Radhika Radhakrishnan prepared this ARISI PARUPPU SAADDAM today. And, she exactly followed your guidelines as per the above video. I must say that this dish is mouth-watering, tasty, delicious and we enjoyed every bit of it. The combination of Potato curry, applam, vadam is ARUMAI. Over-all 5stars to this.

Even my preparation is also different in pollachi. Simple paruppu sadam even for sick peoples can eat in the following method. 200gm rice +50 gms thor shall wash and put in a cooker with 3 1/2 cup water.on otherside take apan with 1 spoon coconut oil+1spoon ghee. Add mustard,cumin and sliced green chili 4 nos. Add turmeric little bit. Add in the rice cook for 2 whistles add salt as per ur taste. Yummy a irrukum. 5 minutes preparation than

What a coincidence? I prepared It in the morning. My son loves it. But I don't cook separately as you have done. We cook it together. I add mango and some available vegetable. Instead of green chilli, try with homemade sambar powder, it will taste yummy 😋. My mamiyar is from CBE so she taught this method to me.

Hi mam... my native is coimbatore...one small suggestion i would like to tell you... in this arisi paruppu sadam we know need to fry tomatoes ,onions nd garlic separately.... first fry pattai onion garlic tomatoes nd add required water , once water reaches boiling stage then add dhal nd rice required salt give three to five whistles....while serving spread sone ghee ... this is one of the simple nd easy quick lunch menu .... sorry amma ethachu thappa soliruntha

Vanakkam Amma. I am from Malaysia. When seeing today's recipe. It reminds me of Sambar Sadham, Kootan Choru, Ven Ponggal, Bisibelabath. They all seem similar in one way or another. Probably I see it in that way because all these recipes use Paruppu and Rice as its base & some with vegetables Thanks for sharing. God blessings upon you always.

To avoid yellow color coating on the lid of the cooker amma I keep the cooker open till rice boils, then cover it with the lid and put weight and cook in simmer for 15 minutes. Gets cooked even with or without whistles

Cooking rice / dhal and then mixing the tadka is the authentic kongunadu style arisi paruppu recipe...most other recipes that dump everything into one pot are just glorified tomato rice, nothing wrong with that but just saying :), Also authentic versions use avarai paruppu instead of toor dhal.

Am from tirupur,this is my fav yummy dish,we won't add coconut, Fry onion,tomato,coriander leaf,green chilly,some pattai, perungayam powder lil,wth seragam, Smash garlic add in fry items Than add rice and dhal ,than make it boil together Finally add some ghee. This is proper village method
