Your cabin is going to feel like a mansion after living in the van. I can see you sitting in a rocking chair enjoying a cold beer on the porch after a hard day of work. And I spend more time sitting and looking at my outdoor projects than I actually do working on them!

A trick i did is screw a board right under the notch on each side and set the joist up and install and then remove. I dont like poeple either.i love your show hello from prescott.

Great job.. I've worked solo for over 25 years. A little over a year ago my wife finally got here from the Philippines. She loves helping work on the house. It's nice to have a good helper. We need to build a second home on our property. Use the first for a rental. What you're doing is about what we need. Keep up the good work.

It's been about 16° F in the mornings, which is painfully cold handling tools, but it quickly warms up. I'm not complaining. Happy to be building the cabin.

Use another heavy piece of wood in center of the beam you are trying to lift and lift that center beam with floor jack?
