Hold on to your seats! Here is a little bit of raw/compiled footage from the Super701's run at the "Impossible Turn" runways in the ArkanSTOL competition.
(Caution: Do not try these STOL turns until you are very competent and personally comfortable enough with your plane to do so. Not all STOL planes are capable of these maneuvers!)

To fly to the aircraft's capabilities is taking very high risks! A save pilot always leaves a safety margin. Otherwise only a little thing goes wrong and then RIP.

Margins....it only takes one miscalculation of how thin the margins are to ruin your entire day. The 701 seems to give you good lift to weight ratio and I assume you have flown it enough at safe altitudes to find the edge of the envelope. Stay safe.

Impossible turn implies 180 turn back to the field with zero or reduced power immediately after takeoff... not sure thats the case here. Not saying the flying is not impressive, because indeed it is, but I dont think its "the impossible turn" as we know it. That 701 is awesome though. I watched it at the SnF STOL comp. Must be fun as hell to fly with that UL up front!

Leave those Vx flaps for the Turnback too. They are LIFT FLAPS. Dont cut the lift flaps when you need lift for the steep turn. Bush Pilot CFI (retired).

Saw you there on other YTs, so came here to check, so thanks for this! Looking forward to the full run! Would appreciate a finger point on a map of how you tackled the course beforehand, as most of the Arkanstol YTs have too many cuts in them to make much geographical sense.

How do you think you would go in an aircraft like any of the RV’s or even a piper or Cessna?

There were a few Cessna's that competed. The times were a bit longer, but they are much larger and heavier planes. I think a good pilot, with a plane capable of 500ft T/O and landings would be able to run this course very well.

Well done! How are your flap deflections configured? From the video it looked like you were very active on the handle. Are you setup with the optional multi position lever with full flaps at 15 degrees?

This looks a bit dangerous and there is not much room for error. REALLY surprised by the turn. Makes since as to why there were so many accidents this year. Be safe.
