Sad to hear of the passing of Brendan. I had the good fortune to be in Brendan's class at a few Summer Schools in the 2000s. What an experience it was to spend a week learning with a gentleman, one of our greatest fiddlers and a teacher who was willing to share in detail his considerable knowledge of both the instrument and the music! He was a man who understood the importance of generously sharing the tradition with the next generation and I was certainly a beneficiary of that. His compositions will remain an important part of the traditional repertoire for generations to come. A legend. May he rest in peace!
