Pat, I pre order your new book the other day,I’m having knee replacement surgery next month, so by the time your book comes out, I hope my knee will be ready to get back to kb work again, perfect timing, just turned 66, so the timing could be perfect.

20:50 -- Dan didn't really answer the question. I don't think he even understood the question!! The question was why does the same wt feel 'heavier' as a DB than a KB (in this example: 16kg) for that particular exercise (half-kneeling press)? Dan took it to mean why does a wt feel heavier when using it in the half-kneeling press rather than a full standing one - and he answered it thus... The answer for the original question asked is: due to the offset weight distribution of the KB, and the way you hold it nicely between the thumb & forefinger, instead of the DB which has a symmetrical wt distribution & you have to grip it around the midpoint, thus feeling the full moment of force. And Pat's pandering response was just...insane...!

Dude, you need to CALM DOWN. Seriously, who wants to interact with someone like you? Dan answers a ton of questions, many of them are not clearly stated, and sometimes things get interpreted differently from what the original intention was. At which point, someone can just make the clarification and then we should be all good. So again, either relax, or find another channel to throw yourself into a spasm over.

@@supmuhhumbruh 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thanks! Done. And done. Who needs a 'fitness' channel where two people ramble on for hours about their personal lives & personal 'bests', spread so much misinformation about both fitness & nutrition, and cannot even answer questions (or provide info) without 10 distracted thoughts, and irrelevant tangents, spiced with absolutely useless, irrelevant, personal, narcissistic anecdotes...?! A 10 minute focused episode gets converted into a 55 min Unscientific-Personal-Anecdotal-Ramblings-With-Grandpaw episode...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Moreover, when you point out the misinfo, up jumps the host/channel owner to defend his pretty much only 'guest celebrity'/'expert' blaming the person who points it out to 'calm down'...dude, maybe *you* need to calm down, not get into conniptions, or throw hissy fits, and own up to mistakes & change your format...In other words, you need to grow up...! I'm sure there's a niche audience for this kind of fitness content -- and I see lot of regular subs (friends perhaps?) contributing to the comments section, no doubt to pad up the views & comments counter/numbers -- but I haven't got so much time to waste on so much misinfo (or even badly presented info), esp. when people jump in to defend/justify it... But hey, good luck with your not-even-30K 'subs', and sub-1K views per video...!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 P.S.: I'm sure this will be discussed in later episodes, bcoz I've seen you guys do this idiotic thing again & again with critiques...but, hey, that's why you don't evolve/grow.............

@@supmuhhumbruh But he (shantanusapru) makes a really good point. Often, Dan seems to answer the question he wants to not the one that was asked. The question was quite clear. The answer was very clear too IF the question was "why is single arm kneeling KB press so much harder than standing overhead KB press"

18:01: "...VO2max is very specific..." -- That is perhaps the stupidest take I've seen on VO2max!🤣🤣🤣 There are hundreds of ways of building up one's VO2max, and it is *NOT* 'specific' -- at least not to a modality! Maybe to that person...!? Everything is 'specific' to a certain degree (as far as modalities go!), but if your VO2max goes up (using whatever modality, say, skiing) you betcha you can tolerate (not excel!) & do better at not just skiing, but also running or swimming or climbs or skipping or whatever...! There's *HUGE* cross over of VO2max improvement! Yeah, one would not KB swing one's way to a triathlon; nor would one cycle one's way to a 5km swim competition! But that's nothing to do with VO2max! That's a sport-specific, movement-specific, and type-of-strength/endurance-specific thing! To pooh-pooh VO2max in this cavalier manner is just stupid!
