I absolutely respect the fact that you're not quick to label yourself Army and for saying that it's something that's a little more in depth. Nowadays any reactor is quick to claim to be Army after 10 seconds of listening, yet they don't have that kind of reaction to any other artist 🥴 Its that Army interaction/attention that they want. We know it's all for clout. There's a difference between being a fan vs being a stan. I hate that word, but you know what I mean.

28:32 Nicole was the head of bts' creative department as well as A&R for bts and txt. She left Hybe to be a vice president of A&R at Columbia Records. She has worked with bts for about 6 years and is one of the few staff members we've actually seen in the Bangtan Bombs although most ARMYs know her because she often also translated for the members. Anything else in the title or the thumbnail of that video is clickbait.

You are literally the only “reactor” I watch, you often give insight into the industry side of things and that’s great. Another thing I love, especially as a black fan of BTS is how you relate the content with black culture which shows how you’re personalising it all while being respectful which is not common in black and Asian interactions, if we’re being honest.
@Jurnalist_

I feel that’s the only way it’s okay for me to do reactions. If I don’t add my own two cents and say what I’m really feeling. Than I’m not doing anything worth watching or doing. As far as what other black or Asian reactors do. I don’t watch reactions myself. I’d be curious to hear what they do. I can imagine it’s fuckery but I’m not aware.

boracity is onto something. i noticed this last year and since then i started following professionals who make videos with critical and valuable input like vocal coaches, producers, editors for mvs because i feel like as a fan who does not have any expertise in these sectors, i dont understand all of the actual hardwork they put and i learnt so much about vocals, how hard certain performances are although i didnt know before. my favorite channel is dj jino who is a korean american who used to be a dj and just like you will comment honestly about a song when it comes out and give meaningful comments (he actually had a lot of solos and antis fighting him for it). sebastine (the creator who mistakenly watched a video by boracity twice) is a ppretty descent guy. ive been following him for a year. he's a casual fan but i've seen him respond to haters and antis who didn't like his 'bias' for bts since he listens to a lot of other groups. also he reposted boracity's video both on yt and instagram and suggested to watch it because he himself learned from it. i like to trust the videos i watched. i like you as yt channel because you have great commentary on beats and raps and im excited for when you start bts albums. great reaction!

I had quiet an interesting journey as an ARMY and am quiet grateful for it. I first heard of the group in 2016. But started diving deep in 2019 only. And yet it took me the end of 2021 to absolutely say am an army. Because their music started affecting the way i questioned my principles, my lifestyle, my toxicity, my beauty, my love life and most imp my mental health, that it caught me offgaurd and i felt like being their fan wasnt a term i wanted to throw around until process its feeling. Also I was completely out of community until i knew i was an absolute army. Bts is not something most of the public considers 'cool'. What is considered cool in society has double the amount of conflicted fans but will easily get ignored (sports, marvel, american hiphop artists etc.). And thereby insecurity as an army is a huge deal. Growing from the phase of being vulnerable to shallow accusations and ignorance, to easily seeing through the outsiders preassumptions or an insiders tactical creation of negative narratives around the group and its fans is trully imp. I dont recommend joining twitter without having had that growth as their fan. Cause twitter has triple the shallow judgement you see on youtube. But once your opinions are matured enough to not waver by lame bandwagon's of the society, twitter is a go to for an army. Cause you will know how to ignore the bs and yet be uptodate with not just new releases but the everchanging social thought process that exists within and outside the fandom. Cause ultimately the music is the primary reason we are here. And for whom it isnt your primary reason, i can gaurantee even if you felt like an army at some point it wont take you long to be the so called 'ex' army. Your vids atleast aint pretentious you call yourself out if required, and dont overassume your interest in them. And that is trully enjoyable!

My thing is I have no problem w channels that do multiple kpop groups but a lot of channels will start with bts then once they start reacting to other groups they start shading bts and being weird. KZbin armys defend them because they “aren’t being fake” this one channel made a video like last year reacting to the shit joe budden said about them and was basically excusing it in my eyes. Then went on to shade bts saying they weren’t working as hard as other groups but got a Grammy nomination. Other more talented groups deserved jt more but didn’t bc armys only support bts and felt like armys should be supporting kpop as a whole not just bts because bts shouldn’t be the only ones getting success. Like it’s a group project or something☠️ that channel only does bts reactions on their patreon now because armys are “toxic and can’t handle opinions”

The money from most color coded videos doesn't go to bts. The channels have ways to bypass copyright so they get the money.
@MG-dc2kw
@MG-dc2kw Жыл бұрын
Honestly the lyric videos that are a problem is the ones with the extra music in the end. So when you are trying to look for lyric video check the length of the song and see if it matches the lyric video. The ones with the extra music are getting around the copyright clause. This information came from a video one of these lyric video guys made.

Streaming is not for money, it's needed in the charts. There is an examples when the color coded videos have ×2 views than the official audio (Gogo lyric video has 114 m, official audio 49 m). It's a big problem. Also some channel made fake mv for Take two and it has more than million views that could be official audio views.
@monimuppet6132

Everyone understands but the need still persists. Those videos, although often fraudulent, provide an attractive service that other lyric sources don't; a visual representation of the member singing each line, and paired with the eng lyrics AND the romanization. DoolSet is great but not as easy to follow, and the official audio never has subs. Their usage will not decrease useless an alternative that is just as good is made available. Hate it but it is very much a fact that those lyric vids are used as a way to memorize the Korean lyrics for non-Korean speakers.

You can't stream the song or mv without watching something else in between - you have to watch at least 2 videos before going back to the first one otherwise it looks like bot behavior. So for the other videos some will watch other BTS videos that they have goals for, some will go to a reaction and some will go between the lyric video and something else because they like the song and want to hear it more. Also HYBE (BigHit) should know by now that people need the lyrics or lyric videos and can/should provide these. If they aren't doing that at this stage of the game then people shouldn't criticize the ones that are providing lyric videos and getting views for it. (side note - I don't personally watch lyric videos but I don't hate on people who do)
@GrumpyKay
@GrumpyKay Жыл бұрын
@cnot4948 There have been subtitles to new BTS music for a couple years now. You just have to turn subtitles on. There is zero excuses for going to another video to find out the English translations when the official video will have them for you. So that's a lame excuse. Now that youtube has changed the way they count streaming, where you have to watch other videos in-between, I get it. But in the first 24 hours, it's best to just let the official music video be the only one out there. Cause there are people who will watch or hear something only once, and if they click on a lyric video, or a reaction, and not the official video, that streaming view is forever lost from BTS. That's why most ARMYs are so against reaction and lyric videos in the first 24 hours. It takes views away from the actual video. Not everyone will use them as filler videos. After the first 24 hours, then enjoy them to your hearts content.
@cnot4948

@@GrumpyKay Yes all BTS official music videos have captions and have had them since late 2015 early 2016. It's all their other songs I'm referring to. I have a bunch of songs from MOTS7 and Be album on my YT playlist from their official channel and none of them have lyrics or captions available such as 'Louder Than Bombs', Stay' and so on. It is these kind of songs I'm referring to when I say BigHit should be including captions or at least making their own lyric video for - at least that way they (BTS) still get credit for the views.

KZbin reactions helped make me an ARMY, as I don't really have anyone IRL who listens to them. It helped me feel like I was part of a community and not so alone (especially if they were starting their reaction journey around the same time I did), I could see if they were excited about the same parts I was, pointed out something I had missed, etc. I am much more discerning about who I watch now. I don't mind if a reactor listens to other groups (I just simply don't watch those videos, with the exception of a few like The Rose and OnlyOneOf). What drives me nuts though is if they build their channel on BTS and then prioritize other groups, especially when new BTS content comes out. Like, it's your channel do what you want but respect the people who helped give you your audience. I definitely now prefer the reactors who are professionals in music, engineering, video production, etc. as I like to hear their analysis on those elements that I might not have initially noticed/appreciated listening by myself. I like your channel because you are genuinely interested in BTS and you actually have something to say, and your entertaining when you say it. Stick to that formula and I think you will be just fine (and will stay off Boracity's s#!t list 😂).
@ZariDV
@ZariDV Жыл бұрын
KZbin comment sections often reflect the sort of person the channel is. If your channel is formatted in a way that openly values sincerity, honesty, individualism, education on the topics being discussed and a desire to engage meaningfully with content, the right audience will find you and stay while the wrong audience will be filtered out. I think I talked about this in a comment in one of your earliest BTS videos. You were starting to get certain comments and it became clear that however you chose to respond would shape what sort of community you built in the comment section. I could tell how you'd respond (and I was right) so I stuck around. Many other channels mess up by being so desperate to keep all ARMY viewerships that they bend over backwards to cater to some fans. In the end the dig a hole for themselves and send out a bat signal that their channel is a good haven for immature minors, solos, antis, mantis, etc so their comments start to reflect that petty cattiness, fan wars, silly discussions and so on. The sort of meaningful comments you get is because you put your foot down early and that made people leave. So you don't get silly discourse on who is the hottest member and which members should leave the group to go solo or who has the prettiest double eyelids. You were no-nonsense from the beginning and it was clear that you would not be swayed for the sake of desperately clinging to views. This is why I try to comment often. Not just because I enjoy engaging (because I do), but because we need solid channels like these to get good engagement so more ARMY can find them and have good creators do well in the algorithm. I found your channel through twitter ARMY suggestions.

I hope you won't slow down the content because of this.. I like watching reaction videos because I'm lonely and it feels like I'm watching it with someone.. and as someone who consumes a lot, a LOT of YT content.. you fall into the good content category. Your content is smart, you do pay attention to what you're watching, you notice details in the back of the picture and the blings on people's shoes, you have smart commentary and an objective view.. you're open-minded and curious, or at least that's how you come across, so regardless if it's genuine or intentional, I feel like you fall into the good category of accounts if we judge by these standards.. The fact that you understand the context of what you are watching makes your humour genuine. You're one of the few people that films the time when you learn the context as well ( with all the videos that are not music ) and this is also fine.. I enjoy watching people learn about new stuff and learning with them sometimes.. But yeah.. otherwise shit's not great around, outside of a few accounts.. to sumarise :))

Bts's art definitely builds upon itself and the order in which their content is consumed is so important, so im also rlly glad that you're doing this in an organized way, while doing other fun stuff like checking out the edits and compilations and analysis videos. I would already pretty much consider you a baby army, but i think once you start on bts's group content, you might start feeling more comfortable with that title, seeing as you will very clearly understand their message and idk, maybe it will resonate with you. Pls keep doing what you're doing 💜

Personally, if we are talking Pateron, I don’t have the biggest deal with it depending on the content they put on it, how much they charge, and how the Pateron started. I know that a few channels weren’t planning on doing a Pateron but the comments section pressured them into because of how much gets blocked, especially lately. I don’t think a lot of channel know how to make it free but try and go as low as possible and release everything they can on YT. I have been in YT for like 2 years now and have grown to know what channel I like and are fake. Personally I think some people are too judgmental on some channels. However a ton of channels definitely are fake…

With these videos she's talking about these topics with ARMYs esp. twt armys where we show our support in form of streaming, buying n stuff just keep this in mind. I'm pretty sure that's why she said to avoid lyric because armys use doolset for lyrics and explaination. If armys watch color coded vids that could've gone to the official MV it's delaying us from reaching out army goals. And You are doing fine.

She's really done her work. In fact, I recognized everyone of the channels she showed, especially those who break into second and third channels doing the same content (how do they think they aren't going to be recognized by simply adding or subtracting one reactors?) Also, the K drama channels, I haven't seen them for a long time since once I've found out, I just put them under no recommendation list and that list is pretty long, since I get recs from Korean channels as well.

Making diff comments bcs they’re about diff things and I hate super long comments. What she meant about channels showing a new face: that channel does reactions to multiple kpop groups and basically like any and everyone. They reacted to boracitys videos and felt some type of way bc they thought she was dragging these other groups that they love so much. Denying shit that bts has done and their impact, invalidating stuff they went through, downplaying their talent etc. they were just hella defensive for no reason. Ppl were trying to explain to them in the comments and even boracity commented but they felt like we were being “toxic and negative” and deleted the video☠️

Boracity is 🔥 She is not scared at all.😂 btw I hate dramatic ass reactors. My favorite KZbin channels are DJ Jino's channel and your channel. I watch your videos because you openly say it if you don't like the song or certain part. And the most important thing is you know about the music. Dj jino is also like you he openly talk about the songs also he know about music. The difference is he is a Korean American and you are an African American. I hate when people screaming and running around the room, crying and saying it's so good guys I'm crying wow blah blah blah.. It's my personal opinion I don't like it. I feel so fake. So I don't watch them. I like your videos because you genuinely talk about the song. Btw Thanks for the reaction. I'm waiting to watch your videos every day. So it's okay to upload a lot of videos. I agree with 60% of that is being said. I am a multi-fan and will remain that way. I am ARMY & BTS fan. I actually checked out the fandom and felt these were honourable people before I really got into BTS. To clarify about @DKDKTV Dani (and David.) Dani was the one that said he only does BTS content for views. He was doing his sarcastic dry humour that gets him in trouble like now. In that clip although he was being honest in part he is very sarcastic to his detriment. He does not know how to filter himself and stop being arrogant. Dani is actually into indie music but they used to do lots of reactions. They do great AS EXPLAINED BY A KOREAN to BTS music even delving into Jungism (MOTS7), psychology. There I have to say Boracity took his sarcsm as truth. Tp be honest I personally feel that Dani has low self esteem although a brilliant, caring guy so he has to be the 'shock Jock' so to speak, which is mask. His co-host David is ARMY so they will both watch and give honest opinions. I honestly do not see anyhting wrong in reacting to content twice with time apart, people may have a different mindset than before. However it should be clearly stated as revisiting a video. As for Ameere, I will check back in a few months to see his progress and mind set. People do change.

when i first became a baby army i followed and watched a lot of reactors and whatnot, after a while i saw a repeating pattern of praise or happy fake bs and got bored. now there’s only 3 channels i actively follow and support, one of them being you. when you don’t like something you say it, like some songs on the members albums you’d say you don’t like or it’s not something you’d listen to again. honestly it’s like a breath of fresh air when i hear you say you don’t like a song bc everyone always says yes to everything and it’s just boring, also when you roast their outfits 😂😂 your commentary is top tier,,i love it. the other two reaction channels i follow, one of them are both very entertaining and kinda all over the place(idk how to explain it) that it’s chaotic enough for my adhd brain to enjoy and keep up and keep my attention but they also take the time to stop and really reflect on the songs and the music and etc(as chaotic and fun they may be they get really deep and dark, they really reflect and dig into the subjects),,the other channel, i learn about stuff musically, whenever they’d here a certain note or how the instruments are being played they stop and talk about it while also talking about the meaning of the song itself and everything over all. other than that, i’ll watch random videos from other reactors but that’s it. thank you for being a genuine reactor and for not being afraid to voice your true opinions on what you see.

I just want to say that I subscribe here because: I respect you and appreciate that you are honest. You bring new thoughts and opinions. If you stressed about the views like others do, your content would be very different. Bora is mostly right, but she is too harsh on people just having fun. That double eyelids or nose mole poll is a stupid topic, but why get all twisted about it? Let's all take a deep breath. Not every ARMY is an adult, nor is every ARMY a deep thinker.

As for being army, I think you’re well on your way to being one, but I admire that you’re not just jumping on the bandwagon for the sake of it. I love how you are learning about the members through their music and funny videos, and even sometimes when you don’t have context you still see the humour in their carry on. It’s fun to see your reaction when you pick up on the context though, and getting more familiar with the fandom inside jokes and the members ways. Any attempted gatekeeping of who can or should make bts content is bad news . There are some god awful creators with no clue about bts ( or music in general sometimes) Nothing wrong with reaction channels but only those providing quality content with insightful commentary will last. Army will vote with their feet & not engage long term. Seen it time & time again since started following BTS back in 2015 - channels doing bts content & never cease to be amazing at the power of army regulate content organically. Don't always agree with Boracity but she always makes excellent content with good analysis. Channels like yours giving something different with great quality commentary & fun to watch will last. Once you have armys attention their loyalty is solid. I was already watching your channel for UK grime etc. but was (slightly shocked) to see you start bts content but have enjoyed it so much so thank you. One thing I don't agree with is including Kim Danny & Kim David ( around 24:18) in the same part as Dave Desai. Danny was trying to be funny with the ' more BTS' shit. Dave Desai however has some of the worst clickbait, really horrible

I've been into the reaction thing for a while now and like what others have already been saying, you're really one of the most genuine people I've seen... I also feel that because you are critical, it actually makes it worth more when you do say something positive. And often times you also point out negative things/ potentially problematic things about bts/army, which I've also thought before. Other reactors just don't seem to notice or care about those things (or are afraid to be criticised when mentioning them idk) or just accept it if they don't understand something and it's really bothering me because I feel that if you don't also care about those negative/unclear things, that just means you're not actually interested and paying attention... ( e.g. the way you were very doubtful of bts actually still being independant) Yeah so anyway, thanks for that haha I'm just binge watching your reactions lately so I suppose it's obvious I'm enjoying them lol

Also, pls do take it at your own pace and I'm happy that you enjoy what you watch, don't be pressured to react just to show reaction... Watching you having blank face in some parts then suddenly lightening up and w/ your spontaneous sometimes hilarious sometimes insightful sometimes personal & profound commentaries are precious.. I'm more attracted to BTS fans/army who comments w/ substance but I also find simple armies just commenting their fondness in sometimes nonsensical ways and also those commenting cringey (poetic cringey is my cup of tea tho) BTS jokes endearing too, I just hope that they ain't gullible to misinformation and pretentious reactions. Twitter is a great fun and informative place if you know how to discern where you put your attention to. 😊💜

I personally like your channel and you are very genuine, thank you. Now the reset is my commentary so sorry in advance for the long coment lol.... Personally, I don't agree with a lot of what Boracity says in a lot of this video but there is a lot that I do agree with. -About Sebatine's channel: He does his reactions live on Twitch and then cuts parts of the live and upload them onto YT for those that aren't on twitch or that miss it (he does hours multiple days of kpop content). He did say at the more at the beginning of the video that (the second time), that he actually realized he did watch it already but decided to watch again. Personally, I don't have a big problem with that because informative videos like that I can't remember everything, and it is nice to hear it multiple times because you get more out of it add you start remembering things you didn't the first time you watch it. Also, I wouldn't consider him a baby ARMY but he is newer like me (2 yearish) and honestly, I have watched so much BTS content in one sitting (to get to know them and everything) that I don't remember all the videos I watched. Yes, I remember clips hear and their, but I wouldn't be able to tell every video I watch and every explanation video I have seen. He is someone that loves a lot of kpop music so and a lot of ARMY criticize that and call him "fake" because of it, but he can like whatever he wants I don't care. Yeah, maybe in my opinion, it is poor choice of music (for some) but he is allowed his opinion. He also he does says there are some songs that he doesn't like, granted it is rarely but he still does. -Also, she shows a lot of clips from one channel that is called (Columbian Cousins and Their Wives): Personally, I really like their channel. I find them pretty honest. There is a style of music they like more than others (they don't really like rap if it is a certain type of rap, at least a couple of them don't) but they are honest if the song is for them (add to playlists) or not. Idk I personally don't have the biggest problem with them. The only thing I can think of that people don't like is Patreon. They do post things on Patreon but I personally have my own standard when it comes to Patreon which are: 1. how much they charge (if it is a high amount then it really shows that they are wanting money) 2. how their Patreon came to be (a lot of people get blocked on YT for reacting to BTS. Some channels are targeted more than others and over the past year it has gotten a lot worse so the audience will recommend a Patreon. There have been a few channels that didn't mean to get a Patreon and I feel they were pressured to do it more than anything, unfortunately, so they will make one but make as cheap as they can go and/or they don't know how to make it free.) 3. what content they put on it (they put majority of their reactions on their that are for things that are free and/or won't get blocked that I have a problem with. Also, a lot will only do early access but upload on YT.) 5. If they are honest where the money goes and are transparent about it/ Patreon -Clip bait: Personally, I don't have a problem with clip bait as long as they aren't overdoing it (the clip bait shows their true personalities), not lying, or not false clip bait. (However, news channels about BTS/kpop on YT are awful) -I do agree and disagree when it comes to watching out if they react to every group. Personally, it comes down to the reactor and how they are reacting. However, for the most part if they like every group I am definitely very weary. -As for Twitter vs YT: I have mixed emotions. Personally, I prefer each for different things. Twitter is nice to keep up with what is happening that are true but at the same time is very toxic (even when you are blocking, etc). I find on Twitter a lot of people can become an anti-ARMY or stop being ARMY because of how toxic it can be. Also on Twitter in my opinion people are a lot more judgmental and talk all the time about if you are ARMY, you do this or that which honestly, I don't like. The only thing, in my opinion, to call one ARMY is if you love and support all seven members (and supporting is different for everyone and what they can do with whatever is going on in their life) and be kind to yourself and other; that is it, that is what I call ARMY. YT is a lot less toxic than twitter, but you do have to learn what channels are very fake. I have learned that the comment section reflects a lot on what the channel is like, which is why I find commenting important. If it is a fake channel, you probably will see a lot of shallow comments and/or nothing is added to the conversation. Idk you have to pick and choose your battles.

Twitter ARMYs are not scary tbh like its the definitely the worst platform bc you can see some of the worst takes and just horrible fanwars there, but we really do carry the core fandom. We try hard to integrate in other platforms too bc like boracity said, a lot of casual armys just dont really know a lot of the charity, voting, and streaming we do. Like boy, that balloon is suppose to be at your mama's house, not used as a prop for your fake ass. And he says he was in the Marines, what an embarrassment. Did they teach him how to duck responsibility like that in the Marines or is that just fatherless behavior. Personally that isn’t how I listen to music. I honestly don’t listen to music like that. I usually don’t even play music when driving because that is my like “quite time” to reflects and think and not have so much commotion going around me. Don’t get me wrong I like music but I don’t listen to it non stop. I do make playlist with new songs and will try and listen as long as I can and for week but ultimately I want to certain songs and certain times… do you think BTS full on streams all their favorites every day most of the day?? I am sure they listen to the songs as much as they can and maybe vote but they have a life and so does the rest of us. I do vote when I can… Ultimately in my opinion being ARMY is 1. love and support all seven members (but supporting comes in many ways and also different depends on different people’s live). 2. Be kind to yourself and to others… This is my opinion.

I'm 55, I am going to watch what I want and judge for myself. Now that being said: 1. There are a lot of younger Army who should need guidance. They may be more easily swayed by bad channels. 2. A lot of new Army don't know how to help with views. I would love for her to make a specific video outlining just the last part of this video. In fact I will DM her. 3. Not everyone is good with tech. So again a detailed video would be awesome. I agree with you I love that she is calling people out, but I fear people don't want to listen. You're one of the genuine BTS reactors, that's why I subscribed you. I do like to watch BTS reaction but I, as I'm proud to say this, am a tough audience but also a silent and barely commenting. I know all the reactors she mentioned in the video, but I only subscribe to 3 of them. I maybe like to see the other reactors over and over again but I don't subscribe to them right away bc I know some of them only do it for the money or anything but BTS. And I still keep watching them, maybe for entertaining or to see if they're improving to be genuine, if they're not then I simply left not finish watching it. I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit skeptical about you at the beginning and now I see you as one of the genuine one. As for Ameere channel, I did watched his videos, but after I know his true self by the problems with ARMYs, I stopped watching him right away. I'm so disappointed that some ARMYs still support him by saying 'he deserved a second chance' or 'everybody can changed' bullshit. I mean, look at the problem he caused and the way he solved it. Maybe someday he changed but still, he's a big no no to me. So, I'm glad to subscribe to your channel, and you're nice keep going ;)

Your reactions are authentic and not exaggerated and I can genuinely learn from your comments some times. When I was a baby ARMY I watched countless reaction videos no matter by whom. However, as time went on, I became very picky when following and subscribing to reaction channels. It's fine if channels react to many/every kpop group, I mean, you do you, but I personally do not believe you deadass like EVERY song by EVERY group. I just don't buy it.
