I think the show had lots of awkward moments, more than in years past, most likely due to there being so many changes and the usual energy of the spectacle. You could feel it from the presenters and the athletes. Thankful for the ways everyone pushed through.

What started off as the "beach body" category is now basically bodybuilding with small waists and board shorts. Maybe at the amateur level they are small or natty but at the high level they are jacked. Guys like Christian Guzman and Jeff Seid are too small to be competitive and those are the types of physiques the division was supposed to be for.

I think the correct response by any other athlete would have been to say "hold this bro," lifted those shorts and flexed those legs out for a moment. It was actually a classy way for a traditional men's physique champion to say to the judges that the legs matter with respect to the building of the human body. Honestly that’s a great question, because some of these physique guys have much higher stage weight than the heaviest classic division guys (Ie, bumstead, and Breon) , these guys are fuqinnn huge compared to those guys and they are classic physique champs. Greg docutte has highlighted this many times in his videos check him out
