New York is absolute Clown World under that DA. Heavily intoxicated driver almost kills me, my parents and girlfriend in a drunk driving incident where he rear-ended us going approx. 120 based on tire impressions, while we were going around 70. Car blasted to smithereens in the back half but miraculously we all survived. DA held him to simply a plea deal and he gets out in a couple months (this happened only 6 months ago) under DWI, not 4 counts of assault with a deadly weapon. DA should be locked up; this guy has a criminal history dating back to the 2000’s of burglary with a deadly weapon, grand theft auto, assault, etc.

Similarly to Pepper Doodle. I was told a tale about a kid in Technical Drawing/Drafting class used to flop out his Doodle on ths desk during class. The kid he mainly did it to stood up one day and smacked it with an old school 2'×1.5' wooden T Square. He didn't do it again. NOT! After a while he started on the same kid. VRChat has personal space enabled by default. Meaning, nobody could've touched her by default. Once they get too close they'll literally just disappear, and only reappear once they take a step back. So, that means that she had to disable her personal space to allow for that incident to happen. Furthermore, VRChat has a panic button feature built in. At any point where you're feeling uncomfortable. You press and hold both B/Y button at the same time and you'll be instantly sent to a safe space where nobody can join or see where you went.... I understand it's easy to say "Just take off the headset lmao" but most people don't comprehend or understand what Phantom sense is or does, or just how intensely it can effect someone. Which is why those features are built in.

The first time I used OC I stopped. Except in certain outside lodging scenes until I discovered sugar. I had sprayed someone and went hands on kicking the can in the process. At the station, I placed the can on the countertop and proceeded to splash water on my face. It just kept getting worse, until I heard the hissing from the hole in the can. So Donut, I hear you on your end statements and I've said the same thing watching someone deliberately shoot at officers but got charged with aggravated assault instead of attempted murder. The thing is, they usually carry the same degree of punishment but aggravated assault is far easier to prove so she should get every bit the same jail time as attempted murder without the prosecution having to have as much burden of evidence.

I find it very refreshing that you constantly show us that: there are people who have hardly done anything dangerous and are shot by the police (in sequence: shooting person, warning shot, shouting STOP, show hands) because they behave clumsily. And there are a lot of criminals who have done outrageous things, even repeatedly, but who in the end are rarely punished or are released straight away, doing further bad things. It's all kind of strange.

Speaking on pepper spray I work in the property unit at a jail. While spraying an aggressive inmate is somewhat rare for my squad it ALWAYS find it's way through the window and into the property unit. Every time. The worst one was a guy who tried to fight the I&R Sgt. and he got sprayed BAD. Right after another inmate had to come to my window to sign intake paperwork and get phone numbers and we don't have a limit to how many you can get if we aren't super busy. This dude had us waiting for almost a half hour trying to get his phone numbers because the cross contamination was making his eyes water and it got hard to see the screen. Fun times.

The stories are nearly as bad as in the UK a public piano in St Pancreas train station, was put in isolation due to some Chinese TV crews complaints about pianist Brendan Kavanagh's (DrBoogieWoogie) touching of a flag and calling them Chinese. Where first the police turned up, then the piano, which was donated to the space by Sir Elton John, was put behind tape, quarantined and had security guards put on it, you'll be glad to know the pieno is free again.

Donut I'm British and our police are soft now I am an ex security officer and now retired after doing multiple 24 hour shifts but I have seen police not being able to touch someone in fear of being taken to court.

There is a serious issue happening in the US and UK, where as drugs are being accepted more and more, people are able to commit horrific acts and say “it was due to mental health because the drugs” and they get away with it. Latest story was a man (if you can even call it that) stalked at night in Nottingham UK and stabbed to death 3 people, he was let go from prison because he “had mental health issues”. Falling directly onto your head from anywhere upwards of 12 feet is surprisingly fatal, as it turns out. I just watched another video where they were dropping those ballistic dummies from a forklift to simulate a fall from a ladder or higher, and yeah - even the lower 12 foot "fall" if you take the impact direct to the face and head absolutely will kill you. That's because it only takes around 100-200 lbs of force to fracture our skulls, and a fall from 12 foot directly onto our skulls produces WAY more force than that. Even without a skull fracture you'll suffer a fatal concussion. So yeah kids, no jumping out of 2nd storey or higher windows onto your face!!

The bobcat incident happened right down the street from me, word on the street is the operator had been removing snow for too long and started hallucinating. He thought the police car was a big pile of snow 🤷. Surprised they didn’t eliminate the threat.

That wasn't situational awareness. That was just responding to an officer pulling a gun. Situational awareness would be telling people to get back well before the officer pulled his gun, knowing that officers would have to use deadly force. So the last thing everyone should be doing is gathering around the window with their phones.

Ok for donut and others upset about the last lady. Here's the thing about these laws. The reason she's charged with assault or aggravated assault is, often the assault charges carry the same amount of time as an attempted murder charge. The reason assault is used is because attempted murder charges are harder to prove, so the prosecutor often opts for the latter as it's easier to prove assault and get a conviction than it is to prove attempted murder. An attempted murder charge always has a higher burden of proof where assault charges do not.

VR is unlike anything else. You have a body and a sense of presence in a space with other people. You definitely wouldn't wanting your young daughter having adult men touching her inappropriately in VR. There's already been at least one case of a predator grooming someone in VR and then showing up at their house in another state. So while "virtual groping" might seem silly, it *can* be serious depending on the context.

My fire department had a smaller version of the bobcat. First a trailer next to a modular home caught fire, seemed to go out on its own before we arrived. Few days later a shop behind the house caught fire and the boys were on it pretty quick, not a lot of damage. Week later a call came in that a man was inside the modular home with a bobcat and running through the house. Sadly, I wasn't on this call but, I went by the next day. He had run all through every room and through all four outer walls. The long portions had two holes in each side. The cops waited until he was done. In the end it turned out it was a family matter. The parent had passed away and a dispute started over the estate. A brother was in charge of the estate and declined to press charges. House was so tore up they had to tear it down.
