We really like the fact that you promote best practice. As retired cops (including several spells on traffic) we can vouch for the fact your towing arrangements are spot on. Everything is always done correctly without corner cutting - the index plates being a case in point. Anyone seeking MH tips won’t go far wrong watching your videos! Have a great trip. We love touring out of season and will be sneaking 4 nights away next week.

Lovely site , thank you for showing your set up. This time of year is awful for the dogs isn’t it, we’ve got a Tibetan terrier and last night he was hiding behind the settee as the fireworks were so loud. Tara and Poppy have been enjoying their walks, lovely to see them. Enjoy your well deserved break and look forward to your next video. Beautiful scenery around you and Jenny’s new phone takes a lovely photo x

Thank you for another informative video. I’m a new subscriber and you always seems to answer my questions without me asking 😂 also with the dogs your requirements are the same as mine. I too usually stick to club sites for the standard of facilities. This site is definitely on my list now. What’s public transport like from the site? Enjoy your time there away from the fireworks hopefully 👍

The problem with these fireworks is that is not just one night anymore . They seem to be let off for weeks on end around this time of year . Not nice for all the animals .

@henriklarsen96165 жыл бұрын
Thankfully we have a ban on fireworks most of the year here in Denmark. It is only allowed to use fireworks from dec.21 untill jan.2. Animal lovers put pressure on the politicians and got a ban on selling and using it the rest of the year. There is also a limit to how much noise it ia allowed to make. Every new year vets call out for a total ban on fireworks because dogs and farm animals are scared. Imagine being a refugee having fled the war and then being scared half to dead every time fireworks go off.

Bob Earnshaw Correct, but the way the van did it in front of you is not to bad. It is what you should expect. They don’t want to be behind a motorhome so they try to get in front of you. As I said, the way this van did it looks like it is okay. Peter

Hi guys, hope you have a lovely break, it looks beautiful there. Sorry for another basic question but what’s the difference between a service site and an ordinary one? I’m guessing the clue is in the word ‘service’, ie electricity, water, waste disposal, but if that’s the case why would anyone choose a non-service site, there doesn’t seem to be much of a price difference? Many thanks for your patience with my questions!
@BobEarnshawMoHo5 жыл бұрын
That's Ok, A service pitch has fresh water and waste water disposal on the pitch itself. Less fetching and carrying.

CKA LYN our friends have stayed at the Caravan & Motorhome Club Certificated Site at Leyland which is between Preston and the M6. However it is a members only CL but is open all year www.caravanclub.co.uk/certificated-locations/england/lancashire/preston/greenbank-farm/ The nearest open all year C&MC sites are Southport and Meathop Fell. We often stay at Meathop Fell on the way to Scotland. Unfortunately we don’t have any experience of any other sites in the Preston area.

Do you have to take out the locking screws from the bumper?. Somebody who lives near me has a motorhome and tow's a fiat 500 , but leaves the locking screws on all the time. I thought that would be illegal.

Not sure it's illegal, but certainly dangerous, as bumpers are meant to have some give when you hit something, not punch two holes in what you hit!

Hi Bob just completed the NC500 and trying to catch up on your great vlogs. I was just looking at the Tow A Frame that you have and the condition it is in. Should have checked back but, I thought Tow A Frame gave you a new one about 12mths ago and if that is the case they don't seem tp weather well. Have you ever taken the car abroad with you on that frame or do you now need a trailer?
@BobEarnshawMoHo5 жыл бұрын
Yes you're right it was a year ago. It is surface rust, and I have mentioned it to Tow A Frame. Keep watching, I'll be doing another video about it in January. I've never felt the need to take the car abroad. It costs more on the tunnel and we are often moving on after a day or two.
