I think that message needs to be broadcast loudly. Most of these men end up severely heartbroken - that can last for years. And they feel nothing. 1/2 of all marriages end up with a man going through this. Plus, most of them have to endure watching her screw one guy after another. Don't get married men - most of you will intensely regret it. The only good thing about it is the realistic hope that she will end up alone and miserable.

My former wife ended our marriage after 10 years because she thought she could find happiness elsewhere. Broke my heart & damned near killed me. A year later, I married a family friend who had likewise gone through an unwanted divorce; her husband just didn't want to deal with his own kids any more and had a serious porn addiction to boot. Frankly, we both came out of our prior marriages as damaged goods. We were both 33 when we married, and between the two of us, we had nine (9) kids under the age of 14, so clearly this wasn't about "finding ourselves" or "living large." 😂 But we committed ourselves to love & cherish each other come what may. Raising teenagers for 18 years is not for the faint of heart. 😂 But we did it while always making each other our top priority. A few years into our marriage, my wife asked me why I loved her. As I listed the many reasons, she kept asking, "But what if that aspect of me changes? Why would you still love me?" Finally, I said, "I love you because I choose to love you. And I promise I will always choose to love you." And that diminished all her fears. Love is a daily conscious choice. That is the only way you make it through all the trials, setbacks, and changes that life throws at you. It's now been almost 38 years since we married; she's 71 & I will be too in a few months. And we're still nuts about each other. She is my best friend, my lover, my eternal sweetheart. I would rather be with her than be anywhere else or with anyone else in the entire world. We just love hanging out together. ❤ But it's required a lifetime of commitment and choice to achieve this.

@CurtinMinneapolis replied: Mr Webster, I truly wish there was a double-thumbs-up for comments, as I’d select it for your post. I’m delighted that you shared your experience and your wisdom. By your and your wife’s example, you’ve shown that marriage based on committed daily loving that produces a beautiful garden for both people is still possible. . I love your entire post, but I want to highlight a part of it that I believe myself and which seems to be practically lost to Americans today. I’ll quote what you said the way I understood it with my own clarifying words in parenthesis, so forgive me if I get it wrong. ““I love you (verb sense of the word) **because I choose to love you** (each day). [I vowed that to myself and to you on our wedding day] And I promise I will always choose to love you.” Love is a daily conscious choice. That is the only way you make it through all the trials, setbacks, and changes that life throws at you. … It’s required a lifetime of commitment and choice to achieve this.” . For basing your marriage on commitment to faithfully love (in the verb sense of the word) and living a lifetime of choosing to love, to be kind and caring and committed to your wife, and then doing those and other loving acts each day regardless of emotional ups and downs, fatigue, sickness, and every other thing that could have swayed you from that path, I salute you. You have my greatest admiration. You have by choice and tenacity succeeded in what I regard to be the most important mission there is in this life. Well done, sir.

So so Dystopia saying it was empirical data was actually good enough for me. Call it confirmation bias on my part, but y'know what? ODDS FAVOR those things being red flags. I'm not willing to take a chance on red flags like that. If I can't take you home to mom and dad, then ODDS FAVOR that it's not gonna work out to my benefit or happiness. And my mom and dad both passed some years ago. But still, it's a benchmark, and a very good one too. It's also how I would advise my nephews or any young men who might ask for advice (and believe it or not, some do!). The problem isn't social media alone, but Hollywood also. They give this impression that being a single mother is proof to the world that you're tough. And "reclaiming my life from those horrible men" is empowering. They build up a fantasy world and then insist that it's the real world. But then when the real world hits them, they blame men for causing them trauma. Because taking accountability is also something that Hollywood says women should never do.

I've seen this in my own family. 40's woman who decided she didn't want to be married anymore, wanted a divorce, wanted a divorce, wanted a divorce, wanted nothing more than to be out of the marriage. Well, she filed for and got a divorce. A year later, she wanted her family and husband back. Husband wasn't having it and now she's even more miserable than she was before. Think it through people, the only thing divorce ends is a marriage, not the problems.

As a guy, it is amusing hearing the women in this video realize (because the vast majority of women are social beings) that when the husband and/or kids are not there, "the silence is deafening!" Again, as a guy, when is nobody is around and it is still and quiet...this is AWESOME! It seems like most of the women that wanted to be 'strong and independent' found out that living what is essentially a man's life is not really what they thought it was or what they really wanted (see, men do not have it easier in life)

Women are more social creatures than men. They create nests of homes for others to be in. Men create useful space to come back to. There is no nest if there are no others to share it with. I think that's why they are shocked and saddened living in their newly acquired exfamily home: its missing its purpose. Men enjoy their single person home because it fulfills its purpose: a place of quietness and peace, they way they want it, generally simpler and much less demanding than the "best" they turned over to their ex wife (ir the new one she created).

Why wouldn’t I like this life as much as you do? It’s AWESOME.

@@RealSigmaQueen My comment was about the women in the video. If your nickname is accurate, being a sigma personality covers why you enjoy quiet and solitude (I too have this personality type). I applaud you for putting yourself first and not subjugating yourself by doing things you do not enjoy (watching sports - I don't either as I would rather be doing something than watching something) and being someone else's servant/maid/cleaner. What these videos don't talk about is that relationships and NOT about compromise but are all about collaboration. You also state you have a social outlet so I would think that would provide a enough opportunity where it keeps the majority of noise and chaos (that many women seem to surround themselves with) away from the relationship.

They cannot get out of the controlling mindset after they're split up because they're still seeking information about their ex husband to keep tabs on him and determine if their decisions had the intended affect. It not about their happiness it's about punishing the ex husband. I worked, took care of all home repairs, cleaned, did laundry, ran kids to practice and she still complained. We can survive without meat, sure. But evidence is growing that we humans cannot thrive without some animal based proteins in our diets over the long term. So this boils down to the question: Do vegans have cats? I already know that they do. So do they feed them animal proteins? I also know that they do. So how do they reconcile the killing and feeding of an animal to their...animal? This feels like an endless loop. Or maybe a Droste painting? When she was younger, she took care of the house and us kids. She also NEVER said "men (or children) can be very draining on a woman" either. Saying such a thing would have never occurred to either of them. One time, when I was having a conversation with mom, she said, "oh you kids were no problem". Oh I know we were little hellions at times! But mom would not let that be the thing that controlled her happiness. And one other time, when I was having a conversation with dad, I asked how he was doing, and he said "oh it's no problem." He had to help lift her in the bathroom, around the house, and into the car for doctors appointments, and he had bad scoliosis and sciatica, so this was basically his superpower; pushing past his physical infirmities to be there for the love of his life. Neither one was ever focused on their responsibilities as "draining". Best attitude; both of them. I think we can all afford to focus a little bit less on ourselves. Maybe if some of us stop telling ourselves "so and so is draining", we will find the will and the strength we need to do the right thing and keep going.

Wife gets loved bombed by a narcissist co worker and leaves me and our daughters within days. He uses her for 1 month and dumps her. She then says it was all my fault. Sorry i guess i was working too much overtime to cover the bills and i must have not shown her enough attention. Ironic how my overtime helped pay for the motel rooms.

I can say I had a successful marriage because it lasted until one of us died (after 44 years). On the other hand, I and my son and my two sons-in-law married divorced women as our first marriages. So I told them that we are very lucky men because, if our marriages to divorced women ended in divorce, we weren't the ones showing a pattern of failure. No divorces amongst the four us so far.

@@jasono2139 - I only buy used cars, mostly because I never ever want another car note again as long as I live. But then I put a lot into them to reduce the odds of them breaking down...in a bad neighborhood. But there's a difference. Changing the belts, hoses, batteries, and tires can reduce most of the risk of having used cars, but you can't do that with humans and expect the same outcome. Most women will be annoyed if you try to change their hoses or brake pads without their permission first!

My advice to men is to do what my husband did.... find a woman who believes divorce is against her faith but who is also very serious about her faith. I say faith because it is the only thing I've seen that makes a woman keep her word indefinitely. My husband and I have the same faith and the same belief about divorce being against our faith. It was the foundation of our agreement to marry. No matter how bad it gets or what either of us do, we can't divorce . We can only separate for a time and reconciliation has to be pursued at all times.... If you have no faith or aren't serious about your faith sorry divorce will always be a risk and so far over a 50% chance... yikes

Same thing day after day, year after year, decade after decade. I stopped trying to find a partner altogether. It seems that men and women don't want to share their lives anymore. Everybody's independent. And that's okay, we don't all have to pair off forever anyway. Many of us have accepted it. But then don't you dare complain, ladies. This is what you wanted.

Got divorced 1month ago after being married for 7years and finding out my ex-wife cheated on me. I got discarded just after Christmas while I was away and my ex-wife found nothing better to do than posting a video of her and her new boyfriend on Instagram. Pure cruelty and never expected that the person I trusted the most could do something like this. Of course I am not perfect but I treated her like a queen. She didn’t really want to save our marriage at all and of course didn’t give an apology. Good luck to her when she will realise that the grass is not greener on the other side.

I beg to differ. They are not mutually exclusive and nursing is absolutely a career. With continuing education there is quite the ladder to climb to other positions past becoming an RN. Maybe there’s a point to what you’re saying, or maybe it’s just trying to illicit a reaction?

These poisoned women are on a mission, so fast forward middle aged dating and the stories I've heard from 150+ women, zero balanced women, many trying g to be Alpha females, or projecting themselves how they think a strong male looks. The grass is always greener on the other side, but it still is just grass. Essentially it's the same, but just looks better. Work on your grass, buy fertilizers, water and keep it groomed. Often the green is fake or you realize how much work it takes to have the green lawn. If you spend a little more time and effort on your own relationship then they can improve.

Great Video! I feel that to stop this reality from getting worse and to maybe have hope for the future of the next generation, we need to get together and change the laws. This can be done if we bring together enough evidence and statistics to take to a high court. Judges will hopefully see from this that something needs to change.

I find it interesting that over the decades women of divorce went from "he was an asshole" through "he's ok but it didn't work out" to " I didn't expect life to be so hard without a husband". Or in other words needing to hide your poor choice to divorce when divorce was still somewhat frowned upon, to the period of time when divorce has become 50/50 and not frowned upon to the period where divorce is not only accepted but promoted.
