thank you for this video.i think it's disturbing seeing so many people with 2k+ hours playtime and still not understanding dino level mechanics. max level tames aren't just the "perfect xyz dino tame". the points in the stat matter and not the plaindino level, and these are utterly random. keep on doing your videos the way you do! you rock mate!

Build in the highly vegetated woods and paint your structures so you are less likely to be raided, then target people who have just raided while they have less health and gear.

What are your thoughts on people on pvp glitching under the map with rafts to shoot rockets at bases to wipe months of work? Does this need to be fixed before release (imo it should)

u can't build bases on the mosa or plesio as their saddles have limits. check my mosa vs plesio vid on that. The procop is overall better but it slows down when it leaps. the galli is pure speed.

I would be interested in how the new saber stacks up to the old one and some other carnivores now that things have been changed. I noticed that aside from the things in the patch notes the wild saber also had a much higher speed than previous, it can now outrun a player with base speed and even keep up with wild raptors. I was curious if there were any other differences that the patch notes didn't mention and how the new saber stacks up.

you can set the difficulty to 0.01 in singleplayer. then the most wild dinos will be at Level 1

Technically, it is possible to determine a Dino's strength in a 1v1, but you have to do multiple tests. This reduces the chance of victory by randomness. For example, let's say I wanted to see weather the yutyrannus or tyranosaurus was stronger than the other, I could do 10 rounds of 1v1s with the two at level 100, if the yuty won the first, but in the next 9 rounds the rex one 8 and the yuty only one one, than it's very likely that the rex Is the stronger one, and this chance only grows with the more 1v1s it wins

u can get an idea of who is stronger that way or may be not because the stats are not concrete. even if u spawn in 10 times, the stats are totally random. but good point.

While that use true to an extent, eventually you will get to a point where the random chance makes no difference, if you do 1000 of these battles and the win ratio is the same as it was at 1000 battles, then it's hard to say it's from chance

I like your format much better than the 1v1 channels. Which is why I'd rather you do them. What if you were to spawn lvl 1 and force tame for fights? Unlike other channels that do it (yelling obnoxiously imo) you could use it as a visual representation of the stats you discussed while breaking down two similar Dinos. I'm going nowhere regardless, you're the only channel I'm subbed to who specializes in ark content

I always heard their stats were a combination of x levels in the upper 5 that are kept, and literally wasted stats in the form of y levels into torpor and MS that get reduced to a capped value once they're tamed. Wrong info then? dino total level would be x+y-1 then.

Minimum Level Wild Dino: 1 x difficulty Maximum Level Wild Dink: 30 x difficulty On the Island the difficulty is 4, on the other maps 5. (On official at least) So basically the lowest level possible is never 8 on an official server.

dumb video, versus video at lvl 1 vs lvl 1 show you how good a dino is if he's better than another one for fighting/survavibility. the daeodon is a good exemple, without thoses video i would just have looked at the daeodon as a healer but did you know he's better than a thyla or a direbear ? who would have expected that the kentro can easily kill a stego... that's the kind of thing we learn in 1vs1 lvl1 match, they all have base stats and some habilities we won't try to tame a daeodon and try to fight a thyla 50 lvl higher if we didn't know it could easily kill it.

u don't learn that from a 1 vs 1 match. What u learn is simply the baseline level 1 stat vs level 1 stat. In real gameplay it does not mean anything because your dino is never level one. And unpredictable stat doesn't imply how strong a dino is compared to the other.

u can't compare them that way. they are all built for different purposes. the thyla is a climber, the bear is a omnivore with a steady speed increment when it runs, the daedon is a healer. the only way to compare these dinos are to put them up against something similar to them and compare them in all aspects like how i do it in all my vids.

Diesel Plays is that so ? then why did you make a vid thyla vs bear vs wolf vs saber those aren't climber nor speed runner. they're all in the same cathegorie "small strong carnivore" you can use them for caves, travel, fight without being killed by the first carno you encounter. thats the way we look at it, without those vid i would have never picked my daeodon for a cave, or for a fight (or as a healer maybe) now i use it, same thing for lots of dino, everyone think allo are good yet even i pack they are not between rex and carno, in a fight they can't even kill kentro nor carno. same without those fight i would have never thought that 3 troodon are more than enough to kill a SPINO
