Holbein is very buttery and wonderful. I love them. They have great flourescents and pearl metallic colors, irridescent colors.

Also another to try is Lumiere acrylic. They are soft body, but beautiful metallic colors. I'll have to look at Lukas paints, I've never heard of them so I'd love to hear more why you love them. Because clearly I don' t have enough reason to go broke at the art supply store :)

love this haul! I too follow Sandi Hester and have bought so many things she uses! can you ever have too much creativity supplies! love the scrapping of the pallet and the linen pad hangers! Would love to see a video on you using some of the flashe paint! too funny mouse voice

@@jennifertobinart I bought the acrylic gouche and the Golden Mat because Im a heavy body acrylic painter Golden preferred. Ive bought many of the journals she recommends, and markers and brushes haha…Im experimenting in mixed media because of her haha…but acrylics are my favorite for sure. I also use Ultrecht acrylics and Matisse. I also follow Natasha Newton hauls….love it

I love the handbook journal company journals.. even though the paper seems a bit thin... I love how the paper takes every kind of medium, including light watercolor washes... and I don't mind at all when journal pages get a bit crinkly... to me, it adds character..

omg so funny i bought 4 of the brushes sandi hester uses although i have the chinese ones with the piston i fill with water got a ton off aliexpress and the reg alohtaphy brushes i got at an art store all winsor newton

What a funny ending! I’ll remember that far longer than your thoughts on various supplies! But I’ll also connect those supplies to that little funny business, so I think it’s a win-win! I’m really enjoying following you, because you come from a more traditional art school background, but I am coming from a card making/ rubber stamping background. I wonder if you would be interested in trying some of Tim Holtz’s products with Ranger?? I watch several people use all different kinds of his products (& he has bunches & bunches!) on the gel plate & id like to see you compare & contrast & perhaps even mix & match

Did not mean to send that yet!! He has a lot of similar products such as acrylic paints, gel mediums & texture pastes. His have been developed with the idea of fitting in his distress line of products. And there’s some really fun stuff that can be done with those things. So maybe if you were running out of ideas (haha) or suddenly had a lot of space to add more products (haha) you would be interested in working with his products! It could be very interesting! Thanks so much for such a thorough show & tell of new products for artists! I would like to see more play on the gel plate! Thanks so much!

I’m glad I do silly things like that and people enjoy them. Haha. Tim Holt’s products are amazing and I should really dive into them more, you’re right. And I was laughing at your (haha) additions about ideas and supplies. I often have so many ideas it can paralyze me. Like I don’t know how to decide what to do next sometimes!! The only bummer about mixed media maybe? Anyways, I have several gel plate videos in case you haven’t seen them. I looooove working on a gel plate. Maybe try a low tack masking tape for taping down the watercolor paper??

Deckle edge paper tears really easy when taped down. I just lay it flat after it's dry under books. Also your deckle edge paper is possibly Bee paper

Hi your too funny. I am just like you! I just bought some stuff yesterday and today. I am stating no I don’t have any more room for more but I get more it’s being an art addict… As far as the scribbles and the really nice stuff .I leave on the metal containers they stack better can find better. I have a lot of stuff in bags put into a storage bin. I have lots of bins ,I have to label what’s in them cause I forget. I would like to know how those brushes work out. The colors are pretty.hah.I also went to a wine shop and got some of these beautiful wine boxes that French wine comes in I really thought that they would be free I mean there done unloading them .nope charged me for all but they sure are cool looking, My husband made me a shelf and now I have noisy pullout draws with rope drilled through neat o. I would like to know some more of the products you got and tried. Enjoy

Yes please to reviews esp the Tempura sticks - I have Watercolour gel crayons in various brands - lol hmm if these play differently I may want them too. I would store them in a repurposed container so I could easily see them. Awesome haul. My Neo's stay in their Tin not my Gelatos as I have FSS and had to buy these in many seperate sets.

Not exactly what you have shown us today, but thank you for all that too, do you have any thoughts about collage fixing medium. I know you do collage, do you use matt or gloss medium or do you just use glue to stick down. I am doing a collage a day for 2022. I am meeting my target and in fact well ahead but the sticking things with matt medium is breaking the bank. But i wonder if just glue will spoil the collages long term. nerdy question i know but hope u can help. best r

I definitely prefer the matte medium. But if it isn't a project that requires the more expensive materials, I will use something cheaper. If I was doing a daily challenge and didn't plan to sell all of the work, I would probably use a glue stick. Acid free if possible. Even if you glue collage pieces with a glue stick but then go back with a finish layer of matte medium, that could be an option. Hope that helps. :)

I try to have things out and calling to me, otherwise, I will forget to use them. I even bought a little clear cosmetic drawer set to put my paints in so I would remember to use them :)

Have you tried blowing the tape with a hairdryer before removing the tape? That seems to work against tearing the paper. The Golden company is 100% employee owned 🤩🤩🤩
