I needed this video this morning. I did some experimenting yesterday with acrylic ink which made me feel so despondent. Why? Oh what lovely colors on the old buildings... a new color pallet of light orange and lavender. The most vivid color of golden yellow, so alive!! Jacaranda trees grow in warm, sunny climates like Spain, South Africa, and Arizona.(where i live) Aren't they gorgeous and showy? Thanks Gaynor, for taking us on your trip to Lisbon. Oh I so felt you when you said Lisbon is a very hilly city. I visited Portugal a few years ago, and I felt, no matter where I was, I that I was walking uphill all day long. I was so tired at the end of the day, I slept so well!!! Lovely to see the city again through your travels. Thanks!

Oh My goodness!! Lisbon is gorgeous. The architecture and the interior of the cathedral just took my breath away. The tile on the building was insane. Your fearless and free explorations are so inspiring so thank you for sharing! One suggestion I would offer is to get yourself a water brush (I prefer my large Pentel Aquash)- it’s fantastic for watercolor painting on the go and once you get the hang of it much easier than needing a separate water pot - or water bottle cap :)

If you come to Mexico City in March, everything will be mauve! Someone rich planted thousands of Jacarandas (pronounced Hackaranda) early in the 20th century . . . most major avenues in the city are lined with Jacarandas . . . .
