Man - what a day that looked to be! So peaceful, and the weather appeared perfect! So fun. I used to be a long distance bike rider and I certainly miss that (got pretty sick with yucky cancer) but if I get to do it again, I'll get some saddlebags for my bike and bring along my art stuff... including the bubble bath!

Hi Paul, I watched this video now for the second time, and I wonder whether this is what people call all the time : "Urban Sketching". This is SUCH A BIG THEME on KZbin, and I have wondered before what the difference is between the now so called urban sketching and what people have done for decades before ... 🤔 Is the term urban sketching just a new invention of something done before? Thanks and greetings from Berlin Germany 🤗🇩🇪

Just the thing I needed...I am always shying away from sketching. Thank you Paul. And thank you also for the lovely tour of the English countryside. Brought back great memories of our family vacation a few years ago.

Just discovered you on KZbin Channel and loving it! I discovered watercolor painting while going through a rigorous care plan for cancer. Cancer free today! I created lots of paintings and sold them in my first ever craft fair in Florida! It was a celebration of being cancer free and ALIVE! So much to learn and excited to embrace the world of watercolor art!!

I hope you know how good you have it. I live in the US and I can't even imagine being able to hop on your bike.. leave it for more than two minutes without it being stolen.. hike down a public walking trail across private property.. where all the gates are closed behind you and not a speck of garbage or other destruction in sight.. and wander through a beautiful piece of nature. Seriously a dream come true.

I loved the car sketch. Reminded me of when I was little and my mum would draw a car for us to colour in! She was great at art amongst other things. Thanks for a lovely video. The outdoors inspirational shots were inspiring and the drawings exceptional! ❤

LOL 😆😂😭 My first plein air painting was a disaster. I made the mistake of not simplifying enough and spending too much time sketching in pencil. By the time I started painting it was time to go and I was overwhelmed with all the things I knew I hadn’t even touched yet. I love your sketches, esp. the horse & groom building! Thanks, Paul!!

Ah, your country is just so beautiful and lovely. Millions of motifs all around. I couldn't stop drawing if I was there. So gorgeous. I adore the British countryside and the sea and the Highlands further up north. No matter where you go there's beauty all around. Just love it 🤩
