Great reaction, it is funny how you mentioned Geoff’s tendency to combine old and new. In fact he’s taken to calling them “Dusty Old Songs”, to the point that was what he decided to call his compilation album. I’m looking forward to seeing your journey down the Geoff/Voiceplay rabbit hole.

Thank you for this reaction to Geoff's Christmas release. Great, isn't it! Judging by his album art, it looks like Geoff broke something with this one :-) This was a new-to-them filming location for Geoff and Kathy about an hour away from their home. Geoff filmed this the day before Thanksgiving and edited and dropped to his patrons on Saturday of that week. He must have spent most of his holiday week working. Those patrons listed in the outro are just the two top tiers from Geoff's Patreon. As one of his top tier patrons, Huldra Draco is among those who gets a shout out from Geoff. She has her own KZbin channel with a bunch of info about VoicePlay's history and Geoff. She labels her stuff reactor-safe if it is spoiler-free for their music videos. Will be on the lookout for more reactions to Geoff and VoicePlay's work...one of my favorite activities!

Beautiful reaction, Smokey Jorge!! I actually watched it twice in a row - great way to start the day. I love all your commentary, and wow, that was an impressive freestyle, amigo mio! I think you will also enjoy his recent cover of, "Imagine," which is also set in a beautiful home - he rents these spaces and then he & Kathy set them up. Interestingly, for, "Imagine," it looks like he is playing a baby grand piano, however the piano is a shell, in which his keyboard is placed. (One benefit of his Patreon is behind the scenes, as well as early release, and access to even more of his humour, even for a coupla bucks / month.) He did a masterful job covering, "Blackbird," as well...I know, I've mentioned it via your Patreon, which is awesome; not rushing you but including it for anyone reading along. The VoicePlay hot off the press Christmas release is Louis Armstrong's, "Zat You, Santa Claus," featuring former member J None. It's amazing, musically as well as visually - they used new camera equipment. Bless up, everyone!!💝💖💝

Both Geoffs and the VoicePlay descriptions can be targeted by the quirky humour of Geoff. So also the closed captions. Geoff always sets store on proper captions to all their works. Mainly because he knows the need of them.due to his wife having to give up her singing career because of hearing disability.Thankfully Kathy could turn her talents into becoming the highly valued production manager to both Geoff and VP. Keep reacting to them and you might see Kathy pop up in a video. It's highly recommended always to have the captions on, he often puts in small jokes.

I LOVE this one! It is ominously delicious in sound and feel, the arrangement is spectacular, and the performance is unearthly!!! It is a Ukrainian carol, and this seems particularly poignant to me bearing in mind the suffering of the Ukrainian people in their war-ravaged country. He sings it like an incredibly powerful WAR anthem to encourage them. I have no idea if that's what he was thinking in his arrangement and production of this, but it's a perspective that strikes me as especially relevant. It is so interesting to me the contrast it strikes between "normal" sweet carols and this radically powerful war anthem of a Christmas song that correlates with the radical Jesus who shook up the religious and political structures of his day. His message? LOVE ALL. Love and peace to us ALL this Christmas.

The names he shouts out to are his highest tier patreons. They deserve it. I've only heard a couple versions and both had words. I never liked it because of the high pitches an repeating lines. I have sensitive ears so that hurt However. Geoff lowered that and uses various ranges. Bring down the pitch. My favorite is my favorite version because of that and I love Geoff. My favorite part is the earthquakes he did. Usually they don't bother me but I felt that in my chest hard. uh uh uh. Between each.
