Well explained. From beginning, to end. I've had this for 9 months. And still learning some new things about it. It's too much synth when you first get it 😆

When this gets released, it will be a fine instrument. About as close to a modular that you can get, for about half the price. AND you can store presets, something that's impossible with modulars. The videos are meh, so I'm waiting for it to show up in the stores so I can play around with it on my own. I'm interested to see if you can mix the outputs of the different filter modes. The one thing that I would add would be a resonator like the ARP pro soloist had to make more natural sounding sounds.

I would say it looks interesting. We have not had direct mod matrixes in a very long time ( of course a lot of synths have it with menu diving, and the mod matrix is pretty easy to use on well designed synths like Prophet 12.) I think the matrix is the selling point here. People complain about the sound from a few demos, but naked oscillators are generally boring. If you want a mono synth with a Moog or Juno or whatever Oscillator buy that. If you want something with a ton of hands on controls and a one button mod routing, maybe this will be the synth for you ( a lot of people just want a Juno or Minimoog or whatever, to play some standard sounding patch, and if that's all they want out of a synth, why do they look at this class of synth at all? )
@BasariStudios8 жыл бұрын
I am buying this just for the Matrix, Envelopes and CV IOs...even for that its still worth it with my Modular.
@macronencer5 жыл бұрын
This is a good point. I sort of agree with those who say that the MB doesn't have the very best oscillators - they don't sound as buttery rich as a Minimoog, it's true. But the filters are a different story: they sound amazing. It's possible to get lovely sounds out of this thing, provided you don't rely too heavily on the novelty features... 'Brute Factor', I'm looking at you! Or rather, I'm not looking at you very often because I hardly ever use you :)

Hello! What is your experience with the matrixbrute signal noise ratio? You hear any significant infiltrating digital noises or any residual noises? You have any remarkable negative experience about the matrixbrute noises? My matrixbrute is generate a lot of noises. Using with a amplified studio speakers almost impossible on a standard level. The dinamics is very thin and poor, comparing my any other synthesizer. What is your opinion about the signal dinamics?

Does anyone have a demo where you can hear what, for example, a pretty simple saw wave lead would sound like? No bleeps, boops, squirms, squishysquots.... just leads... I know it CAN do it, but I'd love to hear them.

Sounds quite poor, perhaps they have the distortion/brute on all the time.

I would be cautious about spending this kind of money on a Arturia product. I personally have never purchased one of their products but the general opinion from customers on forums is that they are plagued with customer service and repair issues. If you are going to spend $2,000 on a product, especially a analog product I would want assurance that the product if unfortunately malfunctioning would be fixed in a timely manner or be replaced immediately without months of waiting with no word of progress.

The Beatstep pro has proved to be a very solid device, once they had the updates done. I preordered this synth nearly a year ago and figured I would trust my instincts- and the return option if it looks or sounds less than I expect.

Well I wish you guys the best of luck with your units, hopefully with Arturia making the first step into the high end analog synthesizer market (lets just pretend the origin never happened) they will step up the service points if there are unfortunately any problems as these start to ship out.

This really looks incredible but.....how stable are the oscillators? I have a micro brute, and that thing just won't stay in tune! It's a pain in the studio, and a complete deal breaker for live use. Please tell me this thing holds stable intonation!
@dionysiaex55388 жыл бұрын
The original Minimoogs were notable for not staying in tune. Its now a classic monosynth.
@yrussq8 жыл бұрын
Its fucking analog what did you want? Go digital. Everything analog would have not so stable tuning. Keeping in mind the price you can have your Microbrute for.
@nickafflitto75198 жыл бұрын
yrussq um because the 500 dollar korg monologue is analog and self tuning. So is the sub 37. Sorry, but if I'm going to buy a synth that costs over 2000 bux it better not be off by a half step at the extremes.
@yrussq8 жыл бұрын
nick afflitto what the fucking half steps are you talking about? He was talking about microbrute for 299, And we are hearing about tuning problems only from few people which i don't know how are using them. Thousands of musicians use them without problems. Maybe he keeps it in the fridge and then bring to the stage and wants the stable tuning like instantly. There are a lot of idiots that don't understand how their gear works. So please, do me a favor, stop talking bullshit about synth that has not even been released yet.
@nickafflitto75198 жыл бұрын
yrussq lol you kiss you mother with that mouth? stop trolling.....I let my micro warm up plenty and it was a half step off between the lowest C and the highest. I had to recalibrate it according to Arturia. I'm not the only person to have that problem. It's on the inter webs. You should check it out. It's a great place to curse at people you don't know.

@maydaygoingdown56023 жыл бұрын
@@michaelcosgrove6366 Yes, quite a few. The main one it being only good for bleeps and squelched fart noises and bass leads. But there are many by far cheaper both modular and synthesizer alternatives that do those things just the same. I returned mine after realising that the expensive hard way:).
