I thank you for the great help in this video I have gotten farther than with any other video. I am still having a prob getting it to work right. Your instructions are easy to follow and implement but the prob is that when I put the switch in Safe mode the elevator goes 50% up no matter how the plane is oriented. The receiver is a 636A and the ailerons work correctly in safe mode

Your way is very different than everybody else suggest and only yours worked for me. With Safe on switch hand lunching E-flite jet will be much easier. Thank you, thank you, thank you

Seriously man, thank you so much for making a video just from my question. I really appreciate it and I think others will too. You earned a sub from me. I'm barely getting into the hobby and this is technically my 2nd plane. My first one was some cheapy one from China. But I think the Valiant would be a great plane for me to really get into this hobby. I've been using a simulator for a while now so I think I'm ready haha. I'm still nervous tho, if all goes well I should be maidening the Valiant tomorrow. Thanks again man.

But do you if there’s similar way to make 3 way switch work so one position is for panic/as3x, just As3x and lastly total manually off? Thanks for the awesome content bro

Seeing all this makes me want to get this transmitter, I have a cpl bnf with safe and for now will stick with the safe planes but I need an upgraded tx, I was looking at nx8 or nx10 but from the looks of it this radiomaster is cheaper and does everything the spektrums can do

I used spektrum and futaba for prolly 20 years, opentx is all i will use ever again i like it that much. Even if it was $1000 for the transmitter id pay it to be honest. We are just lucky its cheap as heck!!!

Hi Simon, I have my E-flite F-15 BNF ready for binding with my TX16S. Exciting!! Thanks for making the video, but i cant get the Safe mode on a switch. Did everything you advised in the video, inputs : Safe on source ch5, special functions for override channel 5, 100 and -100, the 5 times stick trick, but i guess it does not work with a AR630. I can bind it in AS3X or bind it in Safe, and thats it 😬 I think I have to look for Someren with a Spektrum transmitter to see of channel 5 and as3x are activated ……. Or something like that. I have extra 300 bnf with safe As3x I have plane bound and have safe select on a switch it works fine on my tx16s channel 5 however I can never get as3x to work without having safe mode on even after I increase throttle above 25% and all way down after that it’s not activating as3x no servo movement

Great video Simon. Someone who is using Spektrum receivers. I am having trouble getting my switch setup to work. I use the same switch as you but can’t get SAFE to shut off with the switch. Do I need to re-bind my TX to the receiver? All my planes came with SAFE included. CA Jim

So you bind the plane to a spektrum radio first and then leave it in safe and then bind the tx16 to it and you can then utilize it on tx16¿ Open tx or edge tx

I just bought an AR630 receiver with safe. Can't get safe to work. Someone told me that if I bought the receiver separately I would need to program that to work. Is that true? I'm trying to get safe on my Conscendo Evolution. Thanks, Al

I have a TX16s with an AR636B - Problem is that the model is a P-51 with Retracts ( ch5) and FLAPS (ch6). How can you setup AS3X when all channels are used on the RX ???

Hi…im new with radiomaster (openTX) and i just bought a night radian with a spektrum AR 631 receiver and i manage to bind it and works all fine but…im unable to assign a safe select switch…whatever i do i do it wrong because so far it didn’t work. I watch many KZbinrs but no one worked fir me. Please can you help me posting a video on how to……? it would be very helpfully to me. Thanks 🙏

@@NomisRC thanks a lot for answering Simon👍🏻 On my Night Radian manual there is a picture with the pre-assignment rx channels and on number 5 i have Led Light with 4 and 6 free but locked…than yesterday i’ve got an answer from spektrum’s product support saying : ‘You need to assign Safe Select switch using the Channel Assignment menu of Spektrum transmitter to assign Safe Select to the switch’ and today i’ll try that and let you know… Thanks again 🙏

so what if you have something connected to every channel on the receiver? would it then work with channel 7 for as3x/safe?

You can change the channel mapping to any channel u want for SAFE via the usb program cable and pc software. I have other videos of what to buy and step by step how to do it

@@NomisRC hmm, i used the software and cable on my ar631 and all i could do there was creating a backup of the profile thats on there and update the software. No other settings.

@@RadimentriX yes this and other videos are for unlocked as3x this is a ar636 and lets u usb program. The 630 631 and 637 are locked and u can only do forward programming on a spek transmitter

Hey man, I'm still having trouble assigning the switch to safe and not safe...it's still only on safe.. Do you think i have to first bind it to non safe first? I did exactly what you said.. i noticed in ur video you went up and down more than 5 times lol..so what i did was hold the throttles in and go up and down on switch.. 5 times.. meaning.. up and down counts as one. then let go of the throttles? I might have to upload and video if i can't get it working

@@rupman27isback One simple omission makes all the difference. I had the same issue. My radio is always in throttle kill when I start it. Just a habit.
