I was thinking and feeling the same thing... lol. 🤔 Why people complaining, i don't know and i don't get it... and usually prefer listening to a males voice (no offense) but i really liked this and really liked it even better hearing a female narrate a female base story. Her voice is just as soothing as any males voice and the accent brings the story to life and helps to "feel" the story or character and put a picture in mind... made me feel like I was back in the days with her and apart of the story!! That kind of a thing not so easy! Especially all the way through! But i haven't come across any story/ narrator where i just didn't like... they "get me" one way or another.. not always at first maybe but then few minutes in and find something that just "gets me" within each story...

I'm inspired to write a series of stories about "The Cursed Tool Belt". Basically they'd be different horror stories, only tentatively linked by the tool belt. Later, it would be revealed that the belt was crafted from the same material as used on the Necronomicon cover. The Necronomicon's author, the "Mad Arab" Abdul Alhazred's brother, Rafiq "The quite reasonable Arab", made the cover & the belt, from the same materials.

Nicely done! This is my first visit/listen on the channel. I have to say the production quality says to me 1. You like doing this. 2. You want viewers to find their experience enjoyable. And 3. You're good at what you do because the finished product is highly professional. I'll be subscribing and look forward to going through the archives. I saw a post in my feed about your channel being buried to subscribers and I don't understand what or why youtube or its algorithms is up to. But it seems to me whenever a channel gets popular, is monetized, and has great content with thousands of views and likes BAM they knock you back, demonetize, and roll your channel deep where it won't hit to your subs and is never shown to new viewers no matter how much stuff they watch that fits the same style your channel has been doing for years. This has happened to so many channels I subscribe to it is stupid. In the variety of content I subscribe to it has hit channels with absolutely nothing in common, other than I previously stated. So I guess their message is don't do well, don't gain followers, don't get likes. Who knows maybe disinformation shills that do the job of keeping the public confused and detached from life are floating along no problems. IDK Whatever I'll be watching regardless.

The accent wasn't even bad in my opinion, but I'm from Texas and it definitely wasn't a Texas accent... It sounds almost like she was trying to up-country Georgian, or maybe from the Carolinas. It was very drawn rather than "twangy" so it sounded unfamiliar to me personally, but not terrible. If she is from the north it definitely isn't as bad as it could be.

This channel should try uploading some stories in crappy sound quality with no music and no sound effects. Those types of recordings are way creepier to me. Gives the story a "found footage" feel. And no fancy intros; that's what the description box is for. Look at Kingspook's videos or MrCreepypasta's very early uploads to see what I mean. Creepypastas like "'Starving Dogs" or "The Pit" are good examples of stories that would benefit from this format.

Jonathan Sefcik Thanks for your feedback. In terms of an "official" response to this, I would like to somewhat echo the sentiments of my fellow producers Jeff Clement and Jesse Cornett. I am aware of the two stories you've mentoned, and though they could certainly be interpreted and produced in a "lost tapes" fashion, they do not necessitate the use of "crappy sound quality." I believe you may simply be expressing yourself inaccurately. We can - and have - produced high-quality audio productions with dialogue and effects done in old-timey radio and tape-recorded effects, if the stories called for it. Such was the case with "Radio Phil" (kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3zdlomFjLBle5o) for example. As for "fancy intros," we believe we have more to offer than a simple reading of a story; we bring these tales to life, so to speak, and our approach has evolved into something far more cinematic in nature than that of any of our "competitors." Also, we are a multi-narrator/full cast studio, and as such crediting our partners and collaborators is of the utmost importance. We not only work with them, but the authors, very closely, to ensure everyone gets credit and gets linked back to. Unfortunately, we cannot say the same of members of the creepypasta narrative community, who routinely violate copyright and do not respect authors' wishes or the rights to other people's intellectual property. Lastly, we suspect that the poor quality of the earlier productions you are referring to was due, in fact, to poor quality equipment and was not in fact a conscious decision on the part of those narrators to "sound" crappy intentionally. We all had to start somewhere; MCP is no exception. He has transitioned to far better equipment as well in recent years. But as Jeff said, we prefer to stick to high-quality productions. Alicia Pavlis is a real audio actress like you get (more rarely these days) in radio drama, many of your narrators are the same, they transcend the 'narrator' lable and really make the stories feel real. Ms Pavlis can switch from a 'cut glass' English accent to an accent that would not be out of place in a Tennessee Williams play with ease. It's amazing how you got so many great acting talents together under one channel! I could listen to these stories all day and only wish I was in a better financial position so I could help out a bit. As soon as I am I'm going to subscribe to one of the schemes you have got going that Otis Jiry mentioned to me whilst answering a comment. I would love to help both Mr Jiry and Ms Pavlis ad soon as I am financially able, to be able to do something they obviously love! Best wishes x

This story was just as good as another I heard from this channel. I don't remember the name, but it had a country girl talking just like this one and I'm sure it was based around a vampire-like story, except it was mysterious and sad in a way. There are a couple different reasons for that Lucky- As you said, I tried to impart the concept that Ms. Ethel was a bit confused but also that she was more comfortable w/ Millie. The story seemed to imply, to me, that there were lots of caretakers that had come and gone since before the narrator- Millie being the one that has worked w/ Ms. Ethel the longest. If you could see the scene in my head, you would have seen the narrator role her eyes at the voice over the baby monitor calling her Millie :) But you were correct, the listener was tasked w/ the intellectual duty of figuring that out... You catching it just proves me right, you guys don't need to be baby-walked through these stories! This is why I love doing this, because you fans are very, VERY good at finding these little Easter Eggs! So, consider yourself "Top of the Class"!

BTW increase mather (a family member of mine) Is making a new one called "Drought" Edit: (FYI this is a somewhat real story, the name is different btw, so there is no version of the patient that this story says.) The way Increase Mather got the idea is because a long time back from now, she worked with someone like the story says, she stays with her every night (And if you're wondering, most of it is fictional... I think..) It took her a long time to get back to her house so I barely ever see her. Happy ever after is that nothing too bad happened and the client (The "patient") Lived a long and happy life until she died when she was 101 years old.

+johnnyboy562 Creepypasta has never been really good. The term itself means something that can be copypasted all over the internet for a cheap scare. The genre relies on gimmicks and memes to be scary, and sometimes isn't even really horror but instead just gross out goreporn or mindbending flash-fiction. Some stories, like this one, On A Hill, the Whistlers or Borrasca, are closer in form and function to classic horror and instantly stand out as not only scary, but actual good literature.

I understand the concept of characterization but I can do without the fake "Southern" accent. It's very easy to make it sound forced, especially to someone(like me, from North Georgia) who is from the South. She kind of sounds like Sandra Bullock portraying Harper Lee in Infamous. There's just something weird about hearing a "polished/refined" Southern accent. When you're used to hearing an authentic Southern accent that definitely doesn't sound as graceful, polished, and refined it can be off putting. It's a great story though that reminds me of a movie called The Skeleton Key.
