YES! The first time I started listening to this story was maybe about 2 years ago and I remember how much I loved it. Unfortunately, before the story could end I fell asleep back than ( as I only listen to CTFDN at night while laying in bed) and I couldn't remember the title nor the name of the author. For 2 years I have been looking for this story and wondered how it ended (I could only vaguely remember that he was talking about a silhouette of a man under a streetlight). I'm really happy I found it (actually KZbin recommended it to me just now) and I must say that my 2 years of search was very much worth it! Great story, great writing and a great performance that brought it all to life. Thanks CTFDN :)

The narrator has a very clear, easy to understand voice and his inflection is good. But it's a little more... jovial that really works for this genre. I kept expecting him to say, "Coming soon, to Walt Disney home video..."

I have only but one negative comment about CTFDN... so ill come out and say it you guys are so much better than 90 percent of the horror suspense genre that's out there in pop culture! They get the TV commercials and recognition that you guys should have! All of the Hollywood cookie cutter stories combined don't equal the quality of your channel. I look forward to every new narration.. thanks for all that you do and the time and effort your team puts in. I have so many ideas I can hopefully find the time to submit a story and have the honor and privilege of it being brought to life in you channel!

I hate to bust the bubble of the story but I’m only posting this to help. I suffered from terrible sleep paralysis my entire life. A few years back, I developed horrid insomnia. My doctor prescribed me a cocktail of meds until we found what works. For me one of the meds is Quetiapine Fumurate, i.e. Seroquel. It’s an anti-psychotic but can be used off brand for sleep. Works like a charm. Sleep paralysis is no joke and I’m so grateful this medicine works. I’m still making up my sleep deficit but no more horrible nightmares nor sleep paralysis. Just thought I’d share for anyone out there suffering and desperate for help.

I echo Mike Boyle and EveryOne who enjoys this channel as much as I do... I'm so chuffed to be able to play games whilst hearing a good old scary story... And to all involved in bring these things to life, I say BRAVO! You make me look at my own darkness and I force myself to shine brighter and happier and more content, because no matter how dark it gets, just one flicker of light will catch the mind's eye and lead to happy thoughts!!! Thank you very much and ditto this on each of the video stories!

I had sleep paralysis once, but twas due to a dream I died in. I awoke filled with terror, but was unable to move. I couldn't even open my eyes, yet I knew after that dream I was completely awake. My mum came into my room just in the nick of time, brushed her hand across my hair telling me to wake up. I was able to move again. Later I told her about that damned dream I had, & how she was like my guardian angel who had revised me. Never again have I ever been through anything the like & I only hope never more.

I've had sleep paralysis happen to me but I've been able to break free. Once I fell asleep in reading a book on my iPad which fell to my lap face up. When I woke up I tried to pick it up but couldn't because it seemed like something was holding it down. My personality has no flight, it's all fight, and I was able to move, enough to try to pick it up again. It was really difficult, like moving in thick liquid, but I tugged a few times, then got mad and managed to flip it a double bird and it let go.

My understanding of sleep paralysis is that your brain paralyses you during sleep so you don’t act out dreams, a measure to keep our bodies safe while we sleep and dream. Sleep paralysis occurs when we awake before our brain quite realised, brain lag. In the time before the brain registering our awake state we are frozen, literally frozen. Can’t move a single muscle, can barely breathe, it’s terrifying. Terrifying. I went through a rough period in life and had frequent sleep paralysis events for a year or so. Every single time I couldn’t stop the rising panic, extreme panic and when my body could move I’d be gasping, crying and shaking like a leaf. Horrible time. Awful

I haven't been smoking any of my herbal remedies either and I am still seeing faces but it's probably because of tiredness with insomnia. ..that is clinically proven to make you see things (thats my excuse and I am sticking to it! ). Really great story too it's extra creepy because I get 'sleep' paralysis except I'm awake I never get it on wakening up (I rarely get to sleep in the first place! ) so I know that all the suffocating is real and so are the shadowy shapes you see. I shouldn't be listening to stuff like this because because I won't be doing myself any favours! Really enjoyed it real or self generated effects included!

I experienced my first episode of SP 2 years ago. I'm 18 now. I was staying at my older sisters place, sleeping on the cough -- I woke up with the usualy symptoms, hallucinating, paralysed... thankfully, I was facing the face of the couch and so I couldnt see what was happening behind me lol. But when I broke free from the paralysis I shot up and everything vanished and went silent... I was in shock lol I had no idea what SP was at the time and I got no sleep lol. I saw a black shroud hovering over me when I was on the cough... and evil laughs! SP is some serious stuff you know!

When I first heard you narrate I thought you were an eccentric sounding, upper class Englishman! I am amazed at the range of characters you've brought to life, for me anyway! I am really enjoying this but is there something going on with the photograph? I keep thinking it's moving really slowly and I cant give you the exact minute but as you're beginning to describe the house, it looks like a face appearing on the tree to my right (left if you're walking towards the camera Gawd forbid!) Its as creepy as the story! !

Hello everyone, I am looking for a particular story whose name I forgot that I heard quite a while ago. It was about a guy who moves into an apartment in the basement. He doesn't meet the guy who gave him the keys. There is a mirror and a peculiar painting in his room. It ends with him being trapped inside the mirror and looking at his real self go about his life. It would be really appreciated if someone helps me find it.

Wow that was an awesome story. I like zombie stories and spooky stories of all kinds. This was a real good masterpiece in my opinion. Hey friends I've got a great idea. Let's get together load up some supplies and go out to a cabin. A cabin out in the middle of a woods or Forest on a dark stormy night this winter. Lots of lightning and thunder and high winds and rain. A cold night. Let's gather inside in the living room Stoke a really nice fire in the fireplace will gather around the couches in like a semicircle. We'll sit together enjoying hot chocolate or such the like and really tasty snacks. We'll bundle up in her blankets and listen to some real really really scary spooky stories as we hear the lightning thunder crashing outside and the wind whistling around the cabin rattling the shutters. Sounds like good fun to me. But not alone.! Oh no we never want to do this alone. We have to gather together at least for us maybe more. This is what I call fun.

Exactly what I was thinking, Migizi. The character seems so nonchalant about it all, almost chipper and so observant about what going on outside his window. My three experiences were absolutely TERRIFYING!!! You're not looking around, just lying there, looking at clocks, or out windows. You're freaking paralyzed and, in my case, finding it very hard to breath. And the being he's talking about, wandering the street? No, it's standing there in the room with you, my friend, right at the foot of the bed.

I promise on everything, you do not want to experience that. What the storyteller describes pales in comparison to the real deal 😐. It is by far the scariest shit I've dealt with & I've had sleep paralysis since I was about 12 years old, I'm 39 now, you'd think I'd be used to it by now...no, not even close! I promise you don't want too experience that!

Black sheep - careful what you wish for...it might come true. From what I know of Sleep Paralysis, it’s a truly horrifying experience, one so powerful and terrifying that some have died from fear alone having a heart attack on the spot. I assume that you are quite young, still gathering wisdom in life. You do not want his because I have heard that some people’s lives get ruined due to psychological torture.
