Japan's emperors being seen divine doesn’t really explain why they lasted all this time. Chinese royals were seen as divine, so were numerous other royals. The key factor is, Japan has been an isolationist country. Also early modernisation helped.
@jasoncasey66672 жыл бұрын
But the difference between Japanese Divinity and Chinese and Korean is that for a very long time Imperial family didn’t have any power,they were seen as high priests and rulers of the empire,that’s what saved them to this day If they were rulers they would have been removed in a long time since they were very strong people who ruled Japan and they were the reason the Imperial royal family locked up for nearly 500yrs …..they should thanks the SHOGUNS for their today survival..
@cynicnhel4092 жыл бұрын
Culture my friend. That’s how they survive. Royal Families don’t really have power but they are the sustainability and stability of the country. They are the living history.
@gpodjoe91792 жыл бұрын
The Japanese Imperial family for the most part of the history did not have any real power, just maybe during its early days, the Shogunate held the real power. Now, they are also constitutional monarchy with the elected prime minister holding the real power. That’s how the dynasty survived for so long. Chinese dynasties often have absolute power that’s why they get deposed all the time. Having power often leads to the downfall of these dynasties.
@israeldiaz-rivera13752 жыл бұрын
I love the fact that modern people, young people, people who like me ( not that young, I will be 50 in a year) can, see and understand that the power of this royals that have survive is the fact that they didn’t have real power at the end of the day. Even the longest living Royal of are modern history, the Great ELIZABETH THE SECOND ( yes she will be known to the history of this humanity as THE GREAT, like ALEXANDER THE GREAT) is there right this minute because they don’t have real political power. The Royals that the history left us are the ones who Carries the history of the country, the Nation. ELIZABETH THE SECOND, has as a Constitutional right, the power of getting read of her government if she sees that the government are not doing their job and she could choose the new government. But even though it has been closed, she chose to restrain her self and let the political system be the political system. The Queen is the one that is carrying the history of her country on her shoulders. I think that why maybe some people to this day are still waiting for the Japanese EMPEROR, to apologize for something that in reality had no power over it. People see him as the one who carries the history of the country on his shoulders, but I don’t think he should or have to, since he was been use by the government of the Island Nation. At the end of the day, I’m not even Japanese, but have a real love for the country. I Respect their history been percibe as the reason for the war or not, that is part of their past history and to me( that don’t matter) don’t think it should be put on the people of the new generation. Neither do I believe it should be the EMPEROR, that carries that fault on their shoulders. I have seen a couple of documentaries types of tv shows ( NHK CHANNEL) were the Emperor decided to be of help to the people who suffered so much after the horrible earthquake and tsunami. I remember how move this older couple, who had seen him as a god type, go down on his knees, to their eye level sins they were lying on floor mats. They were moved to tears and that is what I believe the power of the EMPEROR is at, at their people level. I don’t have a King or Queen in my little island of Puerto Rico, after the Spanish war with the United States, Spain had to give away the island to them. At that moment we lost are Royals, but I don’t even think the people on the island at the time care much for them sims they lived in a state of poverty that was a nightmare. The United States help us to come out of that and help us organize are government system and be part of a democratic country. We still a possession of the United States, we are a colony, but the truth I don’t see it as a bad thing. Ok me are not a state, we can’t vote for the president of the USA in the island, but funny enough if I live in any of the states, because having a USA CITIZEN AT BIRTH helps me, here in NYC y vote for him/her. I really would not mind if we had a Royal family, but I just live the experience true you, Japan and England ( even though I’m mad at them for what they have done to HARRY AND MEGAN) that has me very obsessed sins they should have help with the harassment MEGAN the Duchess of Sussex. But at least I’m happy they live here in the states and are been left alone to have the live they should and want to have, since England did nothing to prevent another death on their hands.

If you're going to tell a story, tell it right. Izanagi and Izanami were brother and sister. They got married and when Izanami gave birth to the fire god, it killed her. Izanagi went down into the underworld to retrieve his wife under one condition, he could not look at her until they left the underworld. Izanagi look back and saw that his wife was a decaying corpse. Izanagi ran out of the underworld leaving his wife behind. To purify himself, Izanagi took a bath under a waterfall. When Izanagi washed out his left and right eye, The The moon and sun gods came out. When Izanagi washed out his nose, the storm/ocean God came out. I know that I'm giving you guys the cliff notes version of the story but it's better than the narration in this video.

This video implies that the Japanese monarchy is on its way out. It implies that there are as many people against monarchy in Japan as there are for it. However, year after year, public opinion polls of the Japanese people indicate that 75-85% of the Japanese love their Emperor and the institution of the monarchy. That makes me question the integrity of the producers of this documentary.

Most of us all love the emperor family cuz they are truly something special. It's always nice to see them visiting areas that got affected by natural disasters because you can see the smiles on people's faces even during disastrous situations. I do believe that there are meanings why we have an emperor and I think it can be something that we can be proud of, just like the British people and their Queen. Those extremests, both left and the right, are far from the norm and no way they represent the nation.

I feel the same way. The protesters against Thai Monarchy are funded by the U.S. just like HK protest and especially the Maidan Coup in Ukraine by the far right Azov Battalion in 2014 which has brought the world to current disaster right now. The globalists want to rule the whole world. In their view, there should never be countries and borders so nationalists and royalists must be wiped out. The US want to maintain its Unipolar power and their World Order. Listen to Jens Stoltenberg of NATO yesterday I notice he mentioned China so many times as their challenge. No matter how he tried to say China is not Europe's adversary, the context of his speech proved the opposite. They want to destroy Russia and then China. They want to erase the word ' Indo China' and use 'Indo Pacific' instead. We are hearing more and more of the word 'the Allies' from Stoltenberg, the US puppet as NATO head. People around the world should ask an important question. "Do we really need the war in Ukraine to continue and escalate to another World War or even worst the New Nuclear War?

I am very surprised watching this covering the Japanese Monarchy. I am a Japanese American, and spent every summer and winter break in Japan with my family. I have attended kids summer schools in Japan and know many people in Japan. In Japan, people don't talk about the war, especially my generation, people who are born in and after the 90s'. In schools, the lesson coverage regarding WWII is very little and the focus on history classes were never focused on that era. Many people in Japan simply don't know the true dark history of what the then Japanese Empire did! And people simply just don't ask and don't talk about it in Japan. No one I know ever talks about the war or the Empire. So, I am very surprised to see many Japanese professors, historians, and reporters talk about this and admit those crimes and the dark history. I mean, for non-Japanese to talk about it makes perfect sense, they are telling the history and the truth. But, like I said, in Japan people almost never talk about this past, so it is my first time hearing from the Japanese people talking about it. I know it sounds weird and stupid, but I am being very honest, Japanese don't talk about this topics at all, some things simple are not "allowed" to talk about in the society if you are Japanese.

The thing about Nepal is, I don’t think the vote to abolish the monarchy was legitimate. It was run by Maoists.

A succession is a symbols understood a single mind a I can't access the multiple . This is a better job shared . By family and by teachers and by community and byadbice of history. A human in happiness multiplies a smile . Though to want that for money for all time is not a smile but empty..so a succession of a emperess or emporer is nodt a great way or idea given the facts of human evolution. To move forward is to know the king is a janitor
