@@paulmorris8762 You're not wrong. I provided security for Colin at a concert he played in N.B. in '91- he walked the aisles amongst the audience with his guitar (wireless), behind his head, playing William Tell Overture. Crazy. And to think he had to audition to get the 'permit' to busk in a Toronto subway station, where he was ultimately 'discovered'.

Jeff Healey lost his eyesight to cancer when he was one. His Dad gave him a guitar when he was three years old and his arms were to short to hold the guitar the usual way. If you noticed, th right hand was playing a guitar style, the left hand is almost like piano motion. Jeff was adopted as a baby and started playing the guitar at age three. Lost both eyes to rare cancer and was plagued by reoccurring tumors over his life finally succumbing to lung cancer at age 41. In his short life, he accomplished more than most do in an average life span. His world was music and had a huge record collection. The style of playing the guitar on your lap is often used by artists that play slide guitar. It’s a blues style that uses a tube like object on one finger that slides along the neck of the guitar. Jeff perform this technique a couple of times. Google give a more musical explanation I think. In any case, he was an exceptional man and is greatly missed. RIP. ❤️

This performance ALWAYS brings me to tears. It’s one of the purest representations of the power of music on so many levels. You have a man who’s sight was taken from him…yet he had an unshakable vision. You have a stripped down band unit of guys who are all monsters in their own right and who’s souls are connected and speaking with one another on another plane. You have it rooted in the blues…need we say more about that? And you have the evidence that music connects us all regardless of our differences or color. Lastly you have some of the most blistering guitar work ever caught on camera. This makes the hair on my neck stand up and appreciate what a gift Jeff was to us all. RIP brother!

This is my favourite Jeff Heally song. I used to plug my electric guitar into my ghetto blaster and try to play this. I am just watching all of the reactions to this song. I am laughing and bobbing my head, like everyone.

Dr. John, on piano, is another person to check out. New Orleans funk at it's finest.

Jeff Healey is one of the best guitarist of all time & at the same time , he was one of the most underrated guitarist of all time . R.I.P. Jeff Healey , gone way before your time . He gave us some of the best songs . Songs like Angel Eyes , As The Years Go Passing By & of course his best song , Lost In Your Eyes . You guys want to see someone else who is amazing , get here on KZbin & type in VH1 Def Leppard behind the music & learn about them & then start watching some of their videos . Start with Bringing On The Heartbreak & watch the drummer he's only 15 years old in that video & then watch some of their other videos all the way up to their new video that just came out a couple of weeks ago . You won't be disappointed .

Probably the third concert I ever went to in my life was Jeff Healey in Richmond, VA. It was fantastic! I feel privileged to have seen and heard him play.

Saw him live at Newcastle city hall (UK) in 89. Mind blowing gig! He was all over the stage when he rocked out and the bass player was always there to guide him back to his seat.

Despite following your channel pretty closely, I somehow missed this Jeff Healy “See The Light” reaction until today. I’m at the point in my life that I only spend time on things that bring me joy or healing. This one from you two provided some of both - and I thank you. This is going in my folder of Exceptional Reaction Videos.

My Brother and I are guitarists, and we saw Jeff & Band in Sarnia Ontario our hometown. We were 8th row center stage, and were just hipnotized by this Ma👀🎶 Not a single mistake!! I told my brother that I was going to go home and break my 🎸😋
