The majority of this panel is why every University in the USA should be shutdown. This Woke infection is absolutely inaccurate and only destructive. You can tell this because they only harp one side of the thing they are against. When a black perseon shoots a black person, it's ignored. Only when a White Cop Shoots a black person do they care. If "BLM" then why not all the time? Why is it so Selective in when the outrage occurs? These Commie narratives are so weak that they have to cherry pick very specific situation to defend their absolutely garbage points. That Purple Haired Commie is the most insufferable twit I've seen in awhile. America is the most diverse country, so of course they create racial communities (hell, every type of community is in America) just because they are struggling to connect with other races. The media its making it worse with so much talk of divide, however you can see it in small scale in other countries. Latin America has a big arab population, as well as big Jewish populations in some countries and though they socialize with everybody, there is indeed a sense of community of because they (usually) prefer to marry within their race, or keep customs that might clash with others. Time will surely fix this as people become more nationalist instead of racial, however with the media like this we are like 100 years behind on this

They make it seem like “model minority” traits like having kids within wedlock placing education as a high priority, not causing trouble in school etc are white things. This is because the values we are propagating in much of the public sphere to our young kids and now young adults are, as a version of humanism, overly emphasizing the importance of self-esteem and further a self-esteem rooted in superficial things...like winning an argument through dominance rather than kindness as a form of persuasiveness and brutality rather than gentleness.

"The stark prejudice against Black people within the Asian community is undeniable. While immigration is often driven by a universal desire for a better life, it's crucial to acknowledge the distinct experiences of those forcibly removed from their communities, exploited for centuries, and systematically oppressed long after emancipation. Despite facing unimaginable hardships, they fought tirelessly for dignity and equality, paving the way for policies that benefit all immigrants today. In contrast to those born from forced labor and slavery, African immigrants have achieved remarkable success, contributing significantly to America's fabric. Although their journey is often overlooked and mostly grouped under the black Americans, studies have shown that African immigrants and black skinned immigrants from predominantly black countries faces a steeper climb in America due to deep-seated prejudice already in full display. Notably, studies also reveal that Nigerian immigrants outperform those from other cultures in the US. Rather than perpetuating obvious biases, I propose a nuanced debate exploring, Black American, African and Asian immigrants' perspectives on the American experiment. This exchange would foster greater understanding and challenge harmful stereotypes.

Vince and Vish were excellent. Well put together arguments, coherent speaking, respectful to their opposition, and overall calm demeanor. Purple hair and green flannel were the weakest by far. Contradicting points, mocking what their opponent is saying, using emotional arguments instead of logic based ones, constantly interrupting, and downright disrespectful. Purple hairs intelligence can be summed up by her own talking point, the Japanese internment. She calls it a real "assimilation situation, you know what I mean?". She then doubles down and calls it a classic example of assimilating. Internment, by definition, is to confine or imprison someone. This isolates them from society. Cultural assimilation is where the minority parties in a country begin to reflect the majority party in terms of values, behavior, and belief. To sum it up, she used confinement and isolation from society as a "classic example" of assimilation. If her IQ were converted to °F, it wouldn't melt ice.

I know everyone is hating on the purple hair girl, but when the guy in the suit was talking about assimilation and she called it what it is, y’all got mad at her lol. I feel like a lot of people are mad at the simple fact that it is indeed damaging for people of color to have to give up their beautiful and unique cultures to assimilate into what the dominant group considers right when that group historically and today has set harmful standards and rules for poc that don’t even stop us from still being discriminated against. I am the most whitewashed black person you can have and that still doesn’t stop white people from seeing my race first no matter what good or bad. Assimilation will do nothing but rob you of your unique culture and its not wrong to call that out since we’re talking about America and in America whiteness rules the public sphere and she wasn’t wrong to call it out. By the way you guys portray her you’d think she committed some grave sin.
@thecrimsondragon9744
@thecrimsondragon9744 7 ай бұрын
It’s her behaviour that puts off most people. She could’ve argued that point much better as I think most people would agree that complete assimilation would be sad because it implies the loss of some beautiful cultures. However I do believe there needs to be some level of integration. The diversity must be underpinned by unity. American minorities needn’t be carbon copies of the majority.

@@Orto4956 No it wasn't. Almost everybody was peaceful. Obviously you just think black people are more violent, and I wish you'd be more honest about thinking that about black people. Sure, there may have been some stores in your area that were destroyed and looted, but that's quite common in just about every huge nationwide protest. Virtually all of them have people who come and take advantage of the situation. You cannon fault all of the protesters or the whole movement for it unless your real problem is that you just don't particularly like black people. An not everybody protesting there was part of the BLM organization. BLM the movement isn't quite the same as BLM the organization. You can agree with and support the general movement without supporting the organization. Also, while there's some truth to your claim about BLM buying luxury housing, you're talking exclusively about the co-founder of the organization, and there's no proof that she bought those homes using the donations that she got. For all we know, she probably used her own self-earned money. There was a post on social media that went viral which claimed that she used the donation for that, but it provided no evidence that that was true. If you believe in innocent until guilty and not bearing false witness, you might want to think twice before you claim that that somebody did something wrong without proof. In fact, it would be completely illegal for her to use those donations for that purpose, and the odds that she'd take that risk are quite low

@@sarabee7710 _"And the fact that people want to call these things "being white" is atrocious. I am Nigerian, everything you mentioned is what many people in my community strive to have, has nothing to do with being white."_ What I've learned long time ago that Nigerians are actually one of the most successful minorities e.g. in US, many Nigerian Americans do better than e.g. average whites people do. With some meters even better than most other successful minorities do. That is no wonder if in general your goals include family, education, job etc. Same as with many Asians; like Indians, Chinese, Japanese etc. All are minorities in US but most appreciate family, education etc. and thus are more successful on a group level. On average more successful than whites are. Problem is that way too many of those US born so called "African Americans" do not appreciate those things, and way too many times I've heard things like if you are trying to get better grades in school or stay out of trouble that you are "acting white". NONE of those things has nothing to do with person being white. It's also implying that non-whites have not valued things like family or working hard and getting educated, a claim which has never been true and it's atrocious to claim that only whites are able to work hard and do better. There is a reason why e.g. modern left while claiming they want to listen minority voices do not like to hear voices like yours or people like Thomas Sowell who has been a brilliant guy, but his "problem" is he had been pointing these same things out decades and they go totally against the narrative of never ending systematic oppression. People like you are also a problem for that narrative because people like you usually perform well all around despite your usually darker complexion, because you have good values and values are not tied to ones skin color.
@sarabee7710

@@tubetorpedo You are 100% correct. The the term "acting white" implies that non-whites do not value things like family, education, hard work and just overall taking responsibility for your own life, and that is so untrue. The idea that being well spoken is trying to be white is baffling.....who doesn't want to be taken seriously when they speak? It doesn't make sense! The term "acting white" is actually an insult. It is not "white" to strive to do better for yourself and your family. Human beings all over the globe generally want that. I am glad, however, that there are many like-minded people out there like yourself who reject this idea. Thank you for your comment.
