Hilarious that it is this sequence of events with Kaegen getting the captain role that doomed him to elimination. Otherwise if Becky won she'd run her team to victory.
@K-Fed
@K-Fed 3 жыл бұрын
Theory: I've found that MasterChef brings on a few feel good amateur chefs and showers them with praise regardless of their actual performance in the kitchen. They know Beccy isn't as good a chef as the others, but they keep her on regardless because there are people at home rooting for her and they raise viewership numbers. The rest of it is creative editing done purposefully so you're unable to successfully predict who will win all the time. Once and a while they'll make it fairly obvious who the front-runner is so we at home get to feel good about betting on who the winner will be.
@Jhetx
@Jhetx 3 жыл бұрын
@@K-Fed it is like that with all the Masterchefs (Story about the South African one) One lady was terrible in the last 4 episodes, always got the most critique but they kept saving her and at the end she won when the other person clearly out performed her. She was a kinda well known food blogger in the food world of SA and friends with one of the judges, her win didn’t create any controversy but when you read these things you can kinda make up your own mind how this show is setup and the validity of this a series franchise as a whole.
@K-Fed
@K-Fed 3 жыл бұрын
@@Jhetx In the US Hell's Kitchen series they always include one or two people on each team that's completely useless and out of their element. Even though they screw up everything they touch and get put up for elimination 2-3 episodes in a row, they get through to create more drama and chaos. These producers know how to tap into their audience and get the most number of eyes glued to their screens. It's still entertaining for the most part, which is why I tune in from time-to-time. But I'm starting to fine the formula a little too tiresome to make it through an entire series, season, or even single episode sometimes.

@@K-Fed Beccy is actually really good. Have you seen her cooking in other vids ? She is insane as a chef, especially for the education she had about cooking. She has leadership, creativity, imagination, speed. The only thing she lacks is practice. She is a fantastic chef with amazing skills. It’s not only because she was liked by the audience that she won, it’s most entirely because she have skills. They are homecook, not professionals. If she cooked like a chicken, she wouldn’t have made it ‘till the end. If people like her, it’s also because she is good.

I liked 1:54 "you are either here or going home" that is the attitude for shows like these. every top chef have burned cut and or gotten hurt to make their best dish. it could be like stoping a pan from falling that has the best sauce or pasta or a pan with the most succulent steak you have cooked I would and have burned myself to keep my dishes from getting ruined. it may hurt then but the memory of your clients and others in awe of that dish is worth some pain. and then you say to yourself that was my "best" next time I must get the same result without getting hurt.

@annadark9278
@annadark9278 2 жыл бұрын
@@void8422 the best example would be a preseentation with a partner. If there is a lack of communication and misunderstandings, the presentation won't work. Maybe I didn't ask the other person what they have done and just thought they did it, then I found out they hadn't in mind what they had to do. So we're both to blame especially in this competition where both work on the same thing and need to communicate. Doesn't matter who did it best but I get it is sad if you lose because the other one isn't the best. Marissa isn't probably a worse cook but lack of communication is stressful and led to this.
