How do Singaporeans Feel about the Gay Sex Ban? [Street Interview] | ASIAN BOSS

As a socially conservative country, Singapore has numerous restrictions on the rights of the same-sex couples, from not being able to adopt children to being unable to get married. But one legal statute has been causing quite a stir recently. Singapore’s top court is now deliberating a challenge to overturn Article 377A, which prohibits sexual activity between consenting gay men, but allows sexual activity between lesbian women. And the challenge has once again ignited discussions on the place of the LGBT community in Singapore. But how do ordinary Singaporeans feel about this legal challenge, and on same-sex relationships in general? We hit the streets to find out more.
