I want to share my appreciation to you, Dr Yo. I had debilitating dizziness and unsteadiness for a year. I found your information and took your course and started strength training now 10 weeks ago. When I first started, I could not lean forward, or lay down or bend to the side or tilt my head without the room spinning. But I used an AI app, adapted it to do what I could, and worked on it 3 times a week for 40 minutes per time as a goal. What a significant difference it made for me and quickly. I started to see the improvements with in I'd say four weeks and continue to see and feel the benefits. Subsequent to starting this, I had my full vestibular testing completed at Mayo where they did find I have bilateral weakness in the oVEMP, and also showing in rotary chair test, VMG and caloric testing. I also have vision problems, so I was 0 for 2 and it means all the more I needed to work on my sense of touch to get relief. Thank you and I do agree with all you have shared. It is consistent with my experience so far. I so appreciate you and all you do for our community of vertigo sufferers.

I dont have bilateral hypofunction, but this is very good information and sounds hopeful for those that do. Ive been diagnosed with unilateral hypofunction and I'm doing VT and also learning how to do grounding. I've got a long way to go yet to feel better. Thank you so much Dr. Yonit for all you do. You are so knowledgeable, and I trust you are teaching other PTs so that more people can be helped. ❤

My GP originally thought I had BPPV but the spinning chair test diagnosed BVH (probably due to a virus back in 2012). By staying as active as possible & building strong proprioception no-one would ever know I had a balance problem. My main difficulty is oscillopscia; I'm doing a bit of tennis to help with tracking a fast ball while moving. Everything you said chimed with me! 😊

Hello Dr. Yo ! Thanke you , your video! My ENT doctor diagnosed me with BVH, as my rotational chair test showed weak responses on both sides. However, my vHIT test results were perfect. I went to an otoneurologist, who diagnosed me with MdDS/PPPD and prescribed Venlafaxine. VRT wasn't helpful for me; I did it for 5 months, but I didn't feel any improvement.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I don't unfortunately know of any colleagues there, but please look at dizzy.com for the their directory - those with level 2 certification have training in PPPD.

What do you mean ear weakness ? Is it hearing issue or something else ?
