would it be possible if you make a video on how to take notes in class - like how to know what to write down and what to not write down, how to take notes fast enough to allow yourself time to actually watch and understand the lesson, how to note take when you have terrible short term memory. And maybe if it's worth it to apply for student council, would it increase chances of being accepted into med school - and what other stuff might increase those chances?

As a general practitioner myself + (tinier) KZbinr, it’d be remarkable/super cool for there to be another GP KZbinr 🤯 Dunno how the UK is like with regards to GP and work-life balance as a creator, but if it’s like Australia then I’ve felt that combination is super great, being able to both have time to create KZbin stuff and practice medicine (which I honestly missed when I went full time YT for a little while). I feel like you reclaim a lot of that “hey I get to be helpful to patients” autonomy as opposed to what can feel like hospital cog-in-the-machine years.

Izzy, I have tried the "calendarizing everything" approach in the past and failed miserably. they 2 biggest failures were: the most obvious, sticking to it. anything that was not prioritary was left out or forgotten very easily. secondly, the criticism from everyone around as being so inflexible, excessively meticulous and the complete lack of spontaneity in my life due to always needing to schedule in advance. which led me to abandon and just juggle my hobbies the best I can and not punish myself for not staying consistent. but of course that slowly made my life a mess again :p

Learning Mandarin is tough with different tones of pronunciation, writing characters with different kind of strokes, many idiomatic expressions etc. Somehow you were able to pick up the language within a short period of time. French is another language that is difficult to learn due to its grammar, sound and pronunciation even tough it has many similarities of words with English. But when you master it, you’ll finally have a beautiful French-British accent.

You are into the NHS system, meaning its for a noble cause. It is a career that could either propel you to greatness or punish you in so many ways. Treating the public does draw in the emotional stigma into it, especially in a life or death situations. I wish you all the best in your future endeavours. My two cents advice to you is that "Be that human Doctor that you're mean to be and don't pretend that you can fix everything" - Hisham, Malaysia

Interesting take on chopsticks: I found that the way food is prepped is related to the cutlery of choice in different cuisines. e.g. East Asian food doesn't have a huge chunk of meat like a steak, because the diner does not have a knife at hand. Instead, meat dishes like katsu is cut into slices before serving. I think chopsticks' versatility mostly come from they having two pieces. If anyone could maneuver two forks in one hand, they would gain a similar versatility. (I am Chinese. I used a spoon when I was a child and started using chopsticks since elementary school)
