@@dperkins01it’s true in the sense of what it claims to be; a collection of accounts the people close to Jesus who interacted with Jesus basically telling what they saw. Does record some historical events, some are readily verifiable, some are not. Whatever it was the witnesses saw, most of them died brutal deaths defending it and others who saw the executions even converted and asked to be put to death as well because they were so compelled by what they saw. If nothing else, the extraordinary nature of the events described, in my opinion, at least warrant genuine study

Well, for one thing, we have historical knowledge that cannot be denied as false. (They CAN be denied, but only out of ignorance, because the scrolls were carbon-dated) The Greeks only had mythological creatures that didn't exist, and yes, while it couldn't be proven that God existed until Jesus' birth, it was proven at 0 A.D. because prophecies that were told by mystics were fulfilled when Jesus was born. We can conclude they needed to have a source outside of time to foresee the future.

I have to ask you what is your position with the "Speaking of the tongue?" And do you think praying or consulting yourself in a church by talking in a gibberish way really bibical?? And (I'm sorry I have many questions) .. In 1 Corinthians 14:2 .. what does paul mean when he says that the tongue speaks to god ?? Thanks !!!

Wow - did this video appear on Connecticut TV almost immediately? It was the 27th show of 2012, and yet Cliffe mentions in it that 7,000 prostitutes were being sent in to Austin for the big car race. That's got to be the Formula One US Grand Prix on November 18, 2012, right?

Of corse there is nothing in the Bible about the framework of our modern day systems, it was written over 2000 years ago. The Bible actually points out in more then a few places about gaining knowledge. Paul gives praise to the Bereans because they did not just believe what he told them, they investigated to find out if every word he said was true. I think you should open a Bible and read it before making arguments from ignorance.

It is a metaphor, and should not be taken literally. Yes, we know the police exist, and perhaps to an atheist, there would be a flaw in the way the police are presented in the metaphor, but the idea stays the same. Anyone who doesn't believe in God (taken from a theistic view) is denying His presence and evidence of Him in the world. Zeus, Mithras and Ra were all a part of folklore , there is no evidence for their worldly existence. As for the unicorns, I'm still hoping to see one...

To sum God's purpose in us, for us is that we no longer follow after the devil and his lie that we can do or say whatever we want, within the realm of morality or outside of it, doesn't matter just do you. God if anything is all about how we are on the inside, He is a morally perfect being that, although it be demanding, Heaven or hell but He expects the same out of His creation, the human species. That's it, can you enjoy life, yes. Can you even have sex, yes. Can have money, yes. See, with God these things are arbitrary to Him, meaning that it's not something that tells Him you're not His, creates in HIS image, He's even made it possible for us TO enjoy these things but what does concern Him is how we use these things, how we approach these things. Have sex, but kit out of marriage. Earn money and spend it but don't make it an idol. Desire a better life but don't mistreat yiur neighbor In order to attain it. If we would simply be honest with ourselves, just like we never liked when our parents directed us or even corrected us when we disobeyed. That's all it comes down to who is God to tell me how to live my life? I have my own desires, I have the power to do whatever I like who are you to tell me other wise? If He was a God that says do what you want, whatever makes YOU happy, no matter who effects make it all about you, I guarantee everyone who ever lived would joyfully gravitate towards this in a God, that's all it is, be honest. If you can be honest with yourself then you will truly see just how immoral you really are.

have to say he fails on the talent parable . he says they didnt have savings accounts and then says he was asked why didnt he go and put the money in the bank to earn interest . he should rethink this . i personally do not think the talents have anything to do with money . i see that the talents are the experience we receive in life that are a witness to the reality of GOD and are to be shared with humanity to save souls .

I like Cliffs comments normally and you need reality the way Christ faced reality, otherwise you can't really be tested or look up to the Ten Commandments the way he wants us to look up to the Ten Commandments, furthermore if you only look for the knowledge then you start to look too much within yourself and want to be smart for yourself it's not about being intellectually all the time correct but to be correct in God's eyes God will give us knowledge HE allows US to pursue it but if we only focus on knowledge to shape our thoughts or our beliefs and our behaviors then we are asking to become the same as Satan when Satan in heaven question that fact he wanted to be the king of knowledge he wanted to be in charge he wanted to be like the most high.

It's not that we deny your god, or any other god for that matter in the face of evidence, we find no evidence for them in the first place. You dismiss Zeus for example as folklore but in the Greek world at the time people were as convinced of his existance and had as much evidence as you have for your god now. One mans religion is another mans fable and fantasy. If you have evidence then "I'm all ears".
