Father hear my prayers. I’m losing hope. My husband is with you I still miss him even after all these years. These pass three years have been difficult. At times I feel so alone especially as a single mom. Since suffering a heart attack two years ago and my on going battle with lupus I’m overwhelmed. Both of my sons are autistic. I’m now homeschooling them so my hours to work are limited. BUT I TRUST YOU LORD! I keep faith even as I constantly struggle to provide for my kids and I constantly struggle to buy groceries. I receive hate for sharing my testimony. My testimony is one of faith. No matter what we are facing God will give us strength to over come. Thankfully I have you Lord! I know I’m not alone. Faith over fear!

Cliffe has helped guide me to Christ. I love how he has done research into other religions to show that Christ is the way and how he encourages his audience to do the same. I used to enjoy delving into Eastern philosophies like Hinduism and Buddhism because I was a huge skeptic to life, and I appreciated how Eastern philosophy encourages self-exploration. However, I was not 100% fulfilled by practicing these beliefs. It wasn’t until I prayed to God and started reading the Bible that I regained my motivation, tenacity, and peace. I was in a rut, depressed, and anxious for years. Now that I’ve reached out to God and started reading scripture, I’ve been so much happier. Thank you, Cliffe and thank you, Lord! ❤️✝️

the endless exploration of the Bible seems to have brought me maybe 25% peace, and 75% total misery, despair and confusion. How can that be good? How can I be saved if im struggling so much to simply not despise its teachings because they seem contradictory to everything that is in fact good. I love Jesus. Hes my only hope. But I cannot seem to trust in a God who is legalistic. God is above the faulty human concept of law, is He not? How can I trust a God who hates something as seemingly good and homosexual love. The only negative aspect of homosexuality is lack of procreation. Thats not necessarily a bad thing. How can i trust a God who sets forth such arbitrary laws, with no explanation aside from "I said its bad, so its bad". I feel condemned. I smoke cannabis, but in reality, it is no worse than a drink of alcohol. Why do Christians condemn so many things like these that aren't necessarily evil, or are no more evil than the things we already do. I cant see past their hypocrisy and my own hypocrisy. Im a wretched man and the only way I can seem to know God is by despising myself. Despising my sin. If my relationship with God is built of my own self-hatred and self-flagellation, how is that a healthy relationship? Over Easter, i felt Gods presence guiding me every day. But today, all i see in Christians is self-righteousness and judgement, devoid of forgiveness and logical reasoning and understanding. God wants to reason with us, so why cant we? Why the laws, why the horribly humanistic legalism that destroys and doesnt build up? Why am I so pathetic in my attempts to follow God, why. Just why.

@@joshuaedwards9830to be honest, I have fought with this a lot. The thing is, there is no magic bullet or answer that would ever satisfy us. If you really want to understand and love God, the truth is, you only have to seek Him and admit that you can’t do it on your own. Fully. Full surrender in prayer. Tell God all of the deepest truths and pains and things you don’t understand and He can help you. That was how He helps us. We come to Him and continue in prayer above any Bible reading and you ask God to help you trust Him and put your faith in Him. It’s about faith. Start with asking: Do I really understand God, want to change if needed, and realize that I can not figure it out on my own. Keep in mind, Christ promises to give us help. But we actually do need to “hate” the people we are now because realizing how awful we are and how good is scares us but if we admit to Him we are bad sinners in need and just keep seeking, God will help us understand why these things are, who we really are, and how to actually LOVE God, others, and ourselves the way Hr intended. It’s all about faith and surrender. I hope God blesses you and you see His grace and love!

Good advice, as always Cliffe. I was in my church for 28 years. It was a honour to serve, on the Parochial Church Council. However, 11 out of the 12 PCC members voted to lie to the congregation. I reminded them of Romans 1, 1 Corinthians 6 and Revelation 21, but to no avail. They were convinced that a greater good gave them justification to lie. I told them you will know a tree by its fruit, a good tree produces good fruit and a bad tree produces bad fruit (no good will come from doing what God forbids) and do not worry about tomorrow (as it turned out, their fears never came true and they worried for nothing, not trusting in God). I pleaded with them several times. I stayed until after the dust settled. But when they started rewriting history and denying they had lied, I knew of they would not listen to the words of Jesus, they would not listen to me. So I left. It has not altered my faith. But they now hate preach. The opposite to love God, your neighbour, your enemy and pray for those who persecute you. They judge contrary to Matthew 7:1. They have stopped reaching out, and church has become a club for nice people. John 12:47 makes Jesus's ministry clear - to save the world. Somehow their zealous pursuit to be a "bible believing church" has actually had the opposite effect. When you hate, you don't walk with Jesus. It seems a shame in the UK you either have churches who hate, or churches that think sin is permissible. I really don't want to join either.

The young lady who was asking questions is very close to the truth, but has clearly never been taught God’s word. It’s an interesting exercise finding out what is holding these people back. Cliffe is definitely doing a great job of explaining what the Bible says, and gracefully answering their questions. It sounds like their big hang up (unsurprisingly) is that they believe they haven’t done anything actually wrong, and introducing God into the equation infringes upon their authority over their behavior. This is why its mission critical for parents to not only instill a Godly authority over their children in the house, but to do so justly and fairly- otherwise, kids are just going to grow up resenting every authority but their own.

@@Theo_Skeptomai what constitutes evidence? Can’t ANYTHING be considered evidence? For that matter, what do you consider valid evidence for God? Furthermore, how would you know what kind of evidence would exist that would prove a supernatural being (outside of nature) using purely natural, or physical evidence? @@Theo_Skeptomai “Substantiates the truth claim….” To whom? Who is judging this claim to be true or false? You did say ANY, but who determines if the truth claim is valid? “I am only assessing the truth of your claim.” Is that so? You, in fact, are the one judging the validity of the truth claim? If so, then please provide the criteria you have so that your standard of valid evidence may be presented. Otherwise, you are begging the question with no stated condition that could prove the claim. Imagine if you said, “prove to me that you have a quarter in your hand.” I open my hand and show you a quarter. Then you say “that proves nothing to me, that could be an optical illusion, prove to me that there is actually a quarter in your hand.” You see, this is your hang up, if you’re being honest, you wouldn’t know what proof for God’s existence looks like or sounds like unless you can state it. What if I said “show me a picture of Rachael.” And you said “which Rachel?” And I said, doesn’t matter, show me the evidence for Rachel. Seeing a problem?

You then tell me “you have not fixed my car to my satisfaction, it doesn’t go 175mph and I can’t see 360 degrees with my rear view mirror.” Do you see why YOU need to specify YOUR subjective criteria to meet YOUR satisfaction for “evidentiary facts?” The next person could ask the same thing you did, I could say “beep boop, beep beep” and they say, “I now believe beyond a shadow of a doubt.” Does that prove anything? @JB-ku7uz when you don't understand what you say, everything is wrong. It's like he's speaking German without knowing German. I told you, he said Jesus is the truth, you might think that's correct, but if you think about it, it cannot be correct if you cannot understand it. @@Theo_Skeptomai I will tell you, it was a gradual process, but even just in looking around me. Looking at the sky and how the stars ae scattered around. The placement of the moon, and how bright it shines. The sun, the clouds and their beauty. Even ourselves, even you. It was realizing that behind this, there had to be someone who created it all. Someone had to have created this world we lived in, this universe, and even our organs, which are perfectly and complexly aligned. Now of course, there is the argument that this was brought about by the Big Bang, but even then, the Big Bang couldn't have produced itself on its own. There had to have been someone to spark that kind of reaction, causing a chain of matter to form this very universe. We may thank "Mother Nature" for the beauty of nature, but when you look further, it all came from God. One analogy I can give you is this. When you look at the house that you live in, you see that it was built right? You understand that even though you're living in it, it *had* to be built by someone. A tall building had to have been built by someone. Similarly, we are the same. We had to be formed by someone, just like the grass/sky/Earth.

I admire this preacher for his honesty, especially when it comes to pointing to his own sinfulness and unworthiness in the sight of God. He doesn't convict people of their and sin directly but does it through his own sins and shortcomings. And he is honest enough not to use the fear of hell to frighten people into belief because he admits to not knowing what it will be like, except that it will be an eternal separation from God. I agree with him here and go even further in saying that a literal eternal punishment in fiery flames is not taught in the bible. Hell very often means the grave and fiery furnaces is just picture language to denote final and complete destruction - everlasting death, non existence and absence from God's presence. Ecclesiates 9:5 says: "For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten" Interestingly there is no 'reward' in death, never mind of any mention of continual punishment. We are told the wages of sin is death i.e not existing. We are not told the wages of sin is burning forever. He is also right that it is the right attitude to sin that God wants - the actual nature of the sin is immaterial. As Christians we hate sin even though we still do it. The important thing is we repent of it and we are forgiven through the blood of Jesus.

I'd imagine it's like how we have our own children that lose their ways and that we pray for them to make it back rather then remain in sin or speak in blasphemy. I would want the best for my kids but you know that you can't force your ideals onto someone else, it makes perfect sense why we go through this experience know as life on earth. Near the end of the video we approach the discussion of getting to know the God/Gods by looking for evidence of reliability. - How can one possibly do so by not letting their predispositions, upbringing, and culture dictate what to look for? How do you wean out the "bull" from the truth? - I want to know God and Jesus better because I grew up Christian, but that's honestly all I have as a motivator. How can I discern evidence of reliability without interpretation? - Looking for advice here, anyone chime in. 🙏🏼

Just pray, ask, and trust God to help you. Then read the bible from the start assuming you're as dumb as a child! If you read something that doesn't make sense or seems fishy, assume you're too stupid to understand and keep reading, and eventually you'll learn why what you read actually made perfect sense. Finally, Christianity is not merely a religion, its an experience. Jesus is alive today, and works wonders TODAY! That for me is what holds my faith when I'm about to backslide, remembering the times I asked Jesus for something, or I received a personal word from God, and things worked out perfectly, in a way that only the Ruler of the universe could orchestrate. You'll experience it too very shortly if you pursue Him earnestly. Matthew 6:33.

@@Deathhellandthegrave The Bible says nowhere that "Hell" is a burning place either. The only mention of anything to that effect is the Lake of Fire in Revelations which is clearly nothing to do with "Hell", since it is where Satan will ultimately be cast into for his destruction. If he lived for an eternity in a "burning Hellscape" then being tossed into a "lake of fire" would be nothing more than a holiday for him, lol. It makes literally no sense Biblically or logically for Hell to be "on fire". This is nothing more than a fanciful notion that was created by Dante and then used as a means for persuasion in late medieval Christianity. It's been understood and accepted for a long time that Hell is the literal separation from God and this is nothing "new" at all. The only ones who seemingly cling to the miguided and fake notion of Hell being a fiery furnace are uneducated atheists and fringe American dogmatic Christians who use it for the purposes of prejudice and don't espouse actual Christianity in the slightest. /mic

Cliffe says something I wholeheartedly agree with "Be open minded", i was born into a Christian family and it's played a huge part in my life, as a child, you tend to go along with what the adults around you believe, but I always had nagging doubts as to what I was being expected to take as being true, it's very difficult as a child to question things which don't seem to align with reality. I always had serious doubts concerning stories concerning supernatural miracles, as I've gotten older it seems far more likely that those New Testament miracles are simply fanciful stories not based in reality. Jesus, if he exists would want me to be honest with myself, you cannot force someone to believe something which in their heart of hearts they believe to be false. People are free to believe whatever they wish so long as they treat others with respect.
