Oh come tf on. He literally said how much he loves his mom. Cliffe ridiculously asked him whether he valued science or his mother more. An asinine question to begin with. Cliffe looks absolutely crazy. Science is a description of reality, and love is emotion. This is completely incongruent and to imply anyone who values science does NOT value love…. Is beyond ridiculous.

God bless you Cliffe. I am from the UK, I would be blessed by God if one day we could meet, whether we do or not I leave to the Lord. God is using you; you are having a tremendous impact on my faith. I am strengthening and deepening my relationship with Christ through your videos; I understand that not everything any given church teaches I must take as fact but rather I must examine the evidence to see if what any given denomination is claiming to be true is congruent with the new testament teachings. I am currently studying the Protestant reform, trying to understand why the churches split apart. I hope also study Catholicism & Orthodoxy. I myself am a Catholic but only because I was raised as one; once I've looked into St. Thomas Aquinas' summa (Largely where Catholic teaching originates from) I will see if what Aquinas says is congruent with what Paul; and more importantly Jesus teaches. God bless you. I hope to serve God by creating some justice in this world even at a cost to myself. If anyone is reading the comment I hope you have a wonderful day. Please pray for me.

@@hatersgotohell627 “Aron ra and Matt Dilahunty” “Pulled Cliffs pants down” That cringe worthy comment speaks for itself!! Equally, it’s beyond ironic that the top atheist apologists such as Matt Dilahunty have no scientific academic qualifications or philosophical academic qualifications. However, Dilahunty is still qualified for evangelical atheism at this level of debate as he works part time as a stage magician!! Dilahuntys debating style is now commonly known as the (Dilahunty dodge) as his intellectually dishonest debating style is as sleight of hand as an expert magician. He’s developed his default position “I’m not convinced” to an art form that would make the best snake oil salesman blush. Equally, Aron Ra has been called out on numerous occasions because of his history revisionism and major mistakes and is very rude and arrogant. He is clearly a person who becomes aggressive and won’t back down even when confronted with clear evidence he is wrong. It was cringe worthy to see them both in the same debating forum as Cliff I couldn’t even watch the debate as they clearly had no integrity and were really aggressive. Similarly, I’ve listened to Dilahunty be verbally very condescending and rude to a child who rang in on his radio program the (atheist experience). It was very cringe worthy to be honest. Dilahunty is also notorious for using rhetorical devices, becoming aggressive if he’s losing a debate to try and gain the rational high ground and appeal to the audience. Nevertheless, it’s comedy gold and is very apt and beyond ironic that Matt Dilahunty is literally a part time magician. The irony is that a strictly reductive materialism, atheism or philosophical naturalism basically says that nobody took no time to turn nothing into everything a belief that at worst is synonymous with the belief in magic!! and at best it’s synonymous with the belief in myths and miracles!! I don’t need secular myths and secular religion to know what right and wrong is. “Evolution, then, is the creation myth of our age. By telling us our origins it shapes our views of what we are. It influences not just our thought, but our feelings and actions too, in a way which goes far beyond its official function as a biological theory” “Fatalism is now offered, not as just one possible philosophical attitude among others with reasons given for and against it, but as a fact backed by the tremendous authority of science.” (Mary Midgley). Equally, this is not a strawman attack on militant atheism as Mary Midgley is an eminent atheist philosopher. Furthermore, according to the prominent atheist philosopher Michael Ruse “Evolution is promoted by its practitioners as more than mere science. Evolution is promulgated as an ideology, a secular religion -- a full-fledged alternative to Christianity.” (Michael Ruse). “The literalists are absolutely right. Evolution is a religion. This was true of evolution in the beginning, and it is true of evolution still today.” (Michael Ruse). It speaks volumes that all these quotes j used are from prominent atheist philosophers complaining about how arrogant, embarrassing and condescending “new atheism” has become.

To the blonde gentleman. Jesus says "Your faith has saved you." Is faith by works? Is faith by grace? John 3:16 says we just need to believe. But what is that? Well, if I really, really, truly believe Jesus is God and did and said all these things, then I will obey Him. I will fear Him. I will trust Him. Even the devil believes in Jesus. So if we just believe what makes us different than Satan? There are Christians getting their heads chopped off for Christ in the Middle East. If you really believe in Jesus, you would die for Him. Ask yourself, "would I die for Jesus right now?"

bonnie43uk Well if God is loving it would logically follow that he’s left you evidence that he exists... maybe it’s time to actually put some effort into figuring out if the evidence is strong enough... let’s be real if heaven exists the way the bible describes then only a liar would claim they don’t want to be there after we pass from this place... maybe look into some NDE’s as well... for atheists it’s very hard to break the bias barrier when it comes to the supernatural and consciousness existing verifiably outside of the body upon clinical death is a good step to start with... if the evidence supports the claim then it’s obviously wiser to follow the trail as opposed to putting a road block up in the quest for knowledge... the only thing keeping anyone from the truth is their own laziness, biases and pride 🤷🏻‍♂️

3:31 paraphrasing "When you're a God and claim what's true, you have to have the authority back it up." I totally get what he's saying because I'd love for God to make it easier to verify his existence and that _what_ he says is so, and _that_ it is so. But he's placing his own requirements onto God when it doesn't work that way. If it did, I would make God do lots of things for me and many of those things would be evil to others. It's a good thing God doesn't follow my requirements, as much as I'd like him to. Unfortunately, it also means I have to struggle with God.

Knowing and having faith are two different things. God said he left enough evidence of his existence. He wants us to have faith, He wants us to believe in Him. Once you trust in Him, fully, once you are connected, your faith turns into knowledge. In order to show trust you must turn from sin. If it's too hard use his words, use his knowledge because his thoughts are above our thoughts. God bless your journey

You want prophecy. Ok. Go to the book of Daniel. He tells us about a dream. In the dream was a statue. The head was gold, chest was silver. Waste was brass. Legs of iron. The feet of iron and clay. This dream was during the time of Babylon. Daniel said God showed him this was a prophecy of the coming kingdoms. It litterelly played it through history to show God told us exactly who would be the most dominant and conquering nation through time. The gold head represents Babylon because they were a nation of gold. The chest of silver was medo Persia who was known for their silver and they ended up conquering Babylon. The waist of bronze was Greece. Alexander the great and Greece conquered Persia and did so with an army wielding weapons of bronze. The legs were iron, Rome was known as the iron army and they conquered Greece using their iron weapons. The feet of iron and clay is the end. No one conquered Rome, Rome ended up dividing itself into 10 tribes (3 of which no longer exist) those 10 tribes became what we know that as Europe. The clay infused represents Christianity because clay in the Bible is used to represent followers of God/Jesus. When Rome divided it divided into half pagan half Christian nations. Iron and clay. Tell me how a guy in the time of Babylon around 600-550 BC predicted that? There's your verifiable Bible prophecy.

May I suggest the first man to check out the Shroud of Turin? To date there is no scientist who can explain the origin of the image, how the image came to be. I'm sure though if Cliff suggested that, the man would have said well it's not 'verified'. When even scientists can't verify a miracle because the supernatural CANNOT BE VERIFIED, what else would this man demand to believe in the resurrection?
@christiananswers6570
@christiananswers6570 3 жыл бұрын
Shroud of Turin still has Jesus' dried blood from nearly 2,000 years ago, and they have tested it to show the blood only has a single X chromosome with no trace of a Y (father) chromosome. This affirms Jesus' virgin birth, and his Father is God, just like the Bible says. But dishonest men deny this fact, because they suppress the Truth in unrighteousness and their Love for sin.
@georgedoyle7971
@georgedoyle7971 3 жыл бұрын
The shroud still remains an enigma for those who have desperately tried to prove it fake because of their philosophical presuppositions. Equally, it speaks volumes that the imaging expert Barrie Schwartz who was part of the original team who gained access to the shroud and took samples for chemical analysis and carbon dating confirms this fact. There is a website you can access on line with updates on the current status of the Turin shroud. It speaks volumes that an hardened atheist such as Barrie who was the photographic imaging expert for the shroud stated that the scientific data on the shroud demonstrates no evidence of it being fake. And it’s fascinating that it has taken a former sceptic and former atheist to bring the truth regarding the scientific facts to light due to them being suppressed because of conspiracy theories, pseudo science, politics and the lack of integrity of the media etc. It takes a former sceptic and former atheist who over two decades has gradually completely rejected atheism for theism but is still currently agnostic about who Jesus actually was. In contrast somebody finds a crushed fragment of a fossil on a beach and it’s portrayed in the media as earth-shaking historical evidence and we’re supposed to believe on faith that it provides an accurate and detailed account of what happened millions and millions of years ago. The shroud only goes back 2000 years and has not been proven a fake. Despite the weight of scientific evidence sceptics still refuse to accept the hypothesis that has the greatest explanatory power and is the most coherent and parsimonious hypothesis. 2000 years later hundreds of millions of people are still having life-changing spiritual experiences and it’s all put down to wishful thinking and upbringing (Genetic Fallacies). Eye witness accounts from only 2000 years ago are painstakingly documented and tens of thousands of copies of parchment are discovered and preserved. Some of which can be traced to within 20 to 70 years of the originals but this is considered by sceptics to be less reliable than secular accounts including a crushed fragment of a fossil millions of years old because the hundreds of documented eyewitnesses believed what they saw with their own eyes. A perfect example of the (Special Pleading Fallacy). The irony is that if politics is a good reason to dismiss the Bible as historical evidence this totally wipes out all of history including secular history. Nevertheless, the fact is that no secular historian of antiquity would claim that Jesus was not an historical character and yet surveys demonstrated that 40% of people in the United Kingdom believed that he never existed. This speaks volumes regarding politics and the power of propaganda in the media.

Good video. Cliffe makes an interesting point about how God will judge people fairly and justly. There has always been an issue regarding people of non Christian faiths, Hindu's, Sikh's, Muslims etc, obviously these people haven't accepted Christ as their savior, and obviously millions of these people have led similar lives to many Christians in that they work hard, look after their children ,and are honest and kind. Yet, because they have been immersed in a totally different culture, surely that shouldn't exclude them from heaven. In which case it kind of begs the question, what does it matter what you believe?, so long as you live a good honest life.

j2mfp78 Hi j2, yes, with something like good and bad/ right and wrong, we are all raised up by our parents to know the difference between good and bad... it's a learned behavior that is formed during our early years, and it's honed and refined as we get older. Obviously there are regional/cultural differences around the globe, but in essence, we all pretty much know the basics. So I would say society defines it, and we are all part of society. It's not something that is set in stone as i see it. Our attitudes can and do change over the years.

avilesw Hi avilesw, well, i think there is a lot wrong with those 10 commandments if you actually take a bit of time to go through them. Lets take one example which relates to my original comment. "Thou shalt have no other God's but me" If you actually believe that, then God is condemning billions upon billions of human beings to, as you say, eternity in Gods prison, if that commandment is actually true, then all Hindu's, Sikh's, Muslim's or whatever are condemned to 'God's prison' for eternity no matter whether have led good honest lives.Billions of people around the world have no say as to what faith they will follow, when you are born, you generally adopt the faith of your parents, especially if you happen to be born in a poor uneducated region of the world. Of course people can and do change religions as they get older, but in many cases they don't.

To be honest I didn’t think it was a “bad tactic” because this idea that the “natural sciences” can explain away all of reality reducing even morals and ethics and our families and children to nothing more than biological and chemical robots and just brain chemicals has historically lead to totalitarian regimes and genocide. According to the Auschwitz survivor Viktor Frankl who was a psychiatrist and scientist (and survivor of two Nazi death camps) those who prefer to value humanity as nothing more than biological and chemical robots and determined machines (free will deniers) are a danger to our families and our children. Equally, in Frankl's classic book, (The Doctor and the Soul) he highlights this serious problem because… “When we present man as an automaton of reflexes, as a mind-machine, as a bundle of instincts, as a pawn of drives and reactions, ... we feed the nihilism to which modern man is, in any case, prone. I became acquainted with the last stage of that corruption in my second concentration camp, Auschwitz. The gas chambers of Auschwitz the ultimate consequence of the theory that man is nothing but the product of heredity and environment--or, as the Nazis liked to say, "Blood and Soil." I am absolutely convinced that the gas chambers of Auschwitz, Treblinka, and Maidanek were ultimately prepared not in some ministry or other in Berlin, but rather at the desks and lecture halls of nihilistic scientists and philosophers."- (Victor Frankl).

The bible has different guides to salvation, and the reason why that is because of the people those books are written to in that time period in history. You have to understand that we rightly divide the bible. In today we go by the pauline epistles( romans - philemon). We read and learn from the bible but we are saved in today by faith in christ alone and not by works, because by works no one is saved(galatians 2:16). So i dont exactly agree with cliff here. @@hatersgotohell627 "Wait a second, so you believe in Genesis?" I don't believe IN Genesis. I believe in Jesus. Do you seriously believe the earth is only 5 to 10,000 years old, and Adam and Eve were the first humans?" I believe in micro evolution or adaptation but not macro evolution. There was no life and then out of nowhere a cell sized organism somehow appeared???? Then after millions of years the cell sized organism became a fishlike creature. Millions of years later the fishlike creature committed Kamikaze millions of times until it could walk on land and the fishlike creature became a froglike creature...Froglike became lizardlike. Then all of the sudden lizard climbs a tree and jumps off of it a million times until grew wings. I could go on about how the lizardlike became monkeylike, but I think you get my drift. It's takes more faith then I have in Jesus to believe that nothing created something or that one animal complete morphed into another completely different animal. "Do you seriously believe the earth is only 5 to 10,000 years old, and Adam and Eve were the first humans?" @@a45williams Technically social science studies behaviors like love and relationships. Empirical evidence isn't the only way but what is another way to show it, 2,000 year old manuscripts that we don't even have, is not enough to validate miracles Jesus did or rising from the dead. Fine you can have that he existed, got crucified but those extraordinary claims (rising from the dead or doing miracles) need a bit more evidence of any kind. Has there been any miracle work in the modern age that has shown supernatural powers exist is a huge non scientific evidence. Where is it? It's fine don't use the scientific method to show evidence, that's okay but what else can you show me? Atheism does not claim there is no god. It simply doesn't believe the claim, such as if someone told me that the tooth fairy is real and to prove to them it isn't. I'd just say I don't believe.
