They are the sick and twisted generation of Sodom that their parents have "raised." Good is evil and evil is Good to them. Most of them aren't seeking truth, they are seeking worship of self and being their own false god. Believers have to keep praying God will open their eyes and heart.

That's true when goes does do something about evil people like to complain on how he did it or why which it just stupid God knows the right way and time to handle something if he is going to. People need to know that God has created us with free will so if someone's wants to do evil he will let them but there will be a time when that person will get what they deserve and it will be for an eternity I've just gotta say many of these unbelievers have no idea what they are talking about till they come to God and get answers from the Bible or the holy spirit through prayer. We can communicate with god in multiple ways and he will answer I know that for a fact personally.

@@anonymouswon7000 💀💀💀 seriously? That's what you came up with. I'm not being rude but I'm actually curious on how you came up with that. Many people seems to use the "it's all gods fault" stance when actually god didn't nothing wrong he created literally everything with perfection and it was us his own creation who made hell on earth. So with all respect the way the world is today is not because of how God made it, its because of how we handled it and all the suffering you see today is literally all our fault for wanting to live in the ways of satan which obviously only bring destruction. I really don't get how non believers end up always wanting to put god in the corner and say he's the reason for suffering when he created a world without it and then we choose to sin on our own behalf god and Jesus literally left that chat but we are the ones still in the group call we are called sinners for a reason. God does allow evil to happen in certain situations and many people don't understand why but its not all that complicated to realize why he let's evil take place everyone just wants to bash him without even understanding why he allows things to happen we need to get context in all situations when talking about this stuff.

@@anonymouswon7000 bro how can you think like this? Who is teaching you and where are you getting your understandings from because that makes no sense respectfully. This is why it's important to read the Bible because if not all we get is crazy opinions and talking from our own understanding ill be the first to let you know that your wrong my man with all love and its good to be wrong because one day someone is able to correct. Now let me have you understand God made us in his image not meaning we look like him because he has no form since he is spirit but he made adam and eve from the dust if the very ground we walk on and then created them perfectly with no sin no anything just like every baby that is born today they have no sin, then later on in the beginning of the bible it says adam and eve were deceived by Satan and thats is when sin entered the world by the first two humans God created and sadly the other generations after them sinned aswell we can prevent sin but people don't wanna because saldy sinning is more fun then going to god.. God made us capable of living without sin since he limited his power and gave us half of his power he possess then gave us free will inorder for us to have choice but not just any choice but the choice to choose him because if there's no free will then all he did was create a bunch of robots and he didn't want that for us so within free will we have choosen to sin and look at how that turned out in 2023 the Bible is very clear that the world is like this because of us following Satan after all these years after adam and eve its the same tricks different people, I'm sorry but God has nothing to do with how the world is today he created a fresh world and we were the ones rotting it and if God was responsible then it would be in the Bible and I'd be fine with admitting it's his fault but that's not the case.

God has touched your mind and given you new eyes. There's no going back from this point, once He lets you peer beyond the veil of society, you can't un-see it. If you earnestly ask Jesus to reveal Himself to you, He will. It will be in a way that is deeply personal to you specifically, in a way that is so intimate and secret that it will be impossible to fully explain to anyone else, and there will be no other explanation that satisfies the miracle of it. If you're feeling like you suddenly have the desire to do and be things you've never particularly been drawn towards, that's Him. That's how it works, He changes you, makes you better. Your desires shift, in many ways quite dramatically and away from yourself. Once a mortal being hears the actual truth of the universe, simply the act of hearing it starts to work on your psyche. Embrace the change, Jesus will literally save your life.

@@kcmman9323I’m so glad for you guys. The beginning of my walk was so patchy that I wish I could have a do over, but God has plans for all of us. You’ll come to learn that God is a gracious God, where sin increased, grace abounded all the more. I’d encourage you to read some of the epistles (the books after acts and before Revelation) after you read one of the gospels. Romans, 1 Corinthians, and Hebrews give you a good explication of the gospel. Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, James, 1 Peter, and 1-3 John give you a good understanding of what the Christians walk looks like. 2 Corinthians, 1-2 Thessalonians, 1-2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, 2 Peter, and Jude have a focus on the church. Of course, they all overlap and reinforce the same message of the gospel, but take some time to chew through a couple of these, it’ll be a great help. One last piece of advice: don’t rely too heavily on your feelings. The Bible tells us that the heart is deceitful and wicked. If you want to understand faith, Hebrews 11-12 are a goldmine. Faith is the confidence to develop as you gain evidence in something’s veracity (e.g., you have faith in your spouse not to cheat on you). Faith is what gives you the confidence to stand on God’s promises, and to follow Christ’s commands (love God, love your neighbor, spread the gospel). It can be a lot to take in if you don’t pace yourself, but God will give you the understanding in due time. Just know that we are sinners with no hope of restoring our relationship with God, but Jesus Christ, the Son of God, became a man and lived a perfect life for us. He fulfilled all the law, but died the death we deserved. God placed the penalty of our sins on Him, as it’s written, cursed is everyone that hangs from a tree. Inversely, we receive His righteousness when we repent (admitting to and turning from sin) and trust in the finished work of Christ. You will stumble constantly, but the arm of the Lord is strong and quick to save. Press on until the end friends. Run the race with gladness, bear your crosses daily, and follow Christ. I look forward to seeing you on the other side of time. For now, take your time getting to know God (if you want to hear Him speak, keep your nose in the Bible). He really is awesome

The Prophet now reproves not only one kind of evil, but brings together every sort of crimes; as though he said, that the Israelites were in every way corrupt and perverted. He says first, that there was among them no faithfulness, and no kindness. He speaks here of their contempt of the second table of the law; for by this the impiety of men is sooner found out, that is, when an examination is made of their life: for hypocrites vauntingly profess the name of God, and confidently (plenis buccis - with full cheeks) arrogate faith to themselves; and then they cover their vices with the external show of divine worship, and frigid acts of devotion:

@MisterJonVox
@MisterJonVox Жыл бұрын
@The2029isComing I understand. My reasoning is for you, for you to see what's been hidden from you. Why has theology been removed from modern-day Christianity? What is theology? Why is it important? What is my theology? Do I have a theology? Why do I believe what I believe about God and Christianity? Do you agree with the Bible that teaches we're all dead, dead to God, and enmity with God? All of humanity? That's what the Bible teaches. Have you read Psalm 5, 5? It says God hates workers of iniquity, aka hates sinners. Cliff might think he's doing, working, as God calls, but he's teaching Arminianism, the Pelagian controversy as it's known. That man, humanity is not dead but able to come Christ by their own faith and merits. Thomas Aquinas taught, regarding Eph. 2, 1 that its operative grace, not co-operative grace. The Divine initiative. God alone quickens his elect. Paul teaches Eph. 2, 1-3 we're dead, slaves of Satan and our sins and trespasses, etc. If we're dead, slaves to sins and trespasses, and Satan, can I make myself alive by faith if I'm dead? Can a slave set themselves free? Research and see for yourself.

Ironically a question Cliffe should ask himself, as one without strong, logical evidence of a god. (Although it's certainly possible Cliffe doesn't actually believe and is simply living based on the real evidence that he makes money convincing people to believe in this idea.)

@@Dametreee That contains a lot of little, _important_ mistakes. 1. I'm asking for evidence of a god. (Not a creator. We know creators exist; I created this comment, for example. 100% of creators we have evidence of _aren't gods._ ) 2. I'm asking for evidence of a god, not of the Bible being a historic text or mentioning some history. If Gary shows you a book that recounts _with perfect accuracy_ the Napoleonic Wars, but then goes on to claim _"leprechauns exist",_ it'd be crazy to use the historic evidence to justify believing in leprechauns, right? Well similarly you need evidence of a god, and a god-claim simply sharing the same book as a fact (like "Jerusalem exists") doesn't prove the god-claim in the slightest. 3. My life has _many_ goals. You have evidence of one of them: _spend my time trying to help people detach from irrational beliefs._ I do it in part because life's toughest moments _aren't made easier by delusions._ When one has cancer, the worst thing you can do is rush into buying a fake cancer cure, and then dying. So it turns out _truth matters,_ and you should value it more. But that means relying on evidence to form your beliefs, and so if you can't figure out _strong, logical evidence of a god_ then you should abandon belief -- because it sure looks like a fake cancer cure to me.

See the problem with you atheists isn’t even that you don’t believe in a creator, it’s how egotistical and narcissistic you are in your views, let’s do a simple walkthrough of your thought process. You want proof of a God, yet whenever evidence is presented to you you deflect and argue semantic points instead of the actual meat of the conversation. You say you don’t want the Bible as evidence but the truth of the matter is God come down right in front of you, shake your hand and introduce himself while simultaneously fixing all of the world’s problems including your own and you still would not believe in him. The welcoming smile and handshake that he gave to that young man also does a great deal. The peace, the happiness, the love that he spreads through Jesus makes such a difference. When my eyes were blind, I did not respond well to just words. But what did catch my attention was finally coming across TRUE believers that spread His light. Of course once I was in they started pointing out what I should change as a believer, but before they could scare me away, they caught me with their love. I wanted some of what they had, you know? The 10 Commandments and both Old and New Testaments ara very clear on that. May be we shall study even more profound and accept fully Gods instructions?

Yes living in sexual immorality is a sinful lifestyle, whether you’re homosexual or heterosexual or any other sexual, it’s a sin not according to me or Cliff but according to the Bible. True repentance is understanding the severity of sin and believing in Jesus Christ for salvation. Turning from a sinful lifestyle is the result of true repentance, and true trust in Jesus Christ.

1:20 "It's not just enough to have faith. It has to be sincere faith." I agree with Cliffe on a lot of things, and I appreciate his intellect and way of sharing the gospel. Regarding the above citation, it may be worthwhile to clarify that one is saved through faith in Christ, that He paid our penalty for sin, and not through faithful works.
@themanthelegend1542
@themanthelegend1542 Жыл бұрын
I don't believe that is what he was saying. Anyone can claim to have faith, it is shown through works as evidence of that living faith. Especially in the broader context of the conversation about Christian hypocrisy. Saved by Faith alone, but faith does not come alone
@Adam_A_Christian
@Adam_A_Christian Жыл бұрын
I think he's not making a faith vs works argument at all, but pointing out there's reasonable faith and then there's nominal, cultural Christianity, where people say a quick prayer, slap a label on themselves and then go about their lives not really trusting in Jesus or knowing the reasons why they should/do. That's not to say all reasons must be intellectual to be valid. Though Cliff's may disagree on that last point as he leans more to the intellectual side of things.
@jedimasterham2

@@themanthelegend1542James 2 clarifies the importance of works post-salvation, because we don't benefit anyone else with just faith alone, and no one will no we are believers unless evidenced by our works. However, there are many who think works much occur in everyone saved, and scripture implies the opposite. That is, there are believers who are carnal, and who do few to no works at all. They burn up their work, and lose reward, but they're still saved. With that in mind, I'm in no way criticizing Cliffe. He's done way more than most any of us could to help open people up intellectually to the existence of God and that Christ is the one who paid our penalty for sin. God has really blessed this man, and he's a trooper for going to campuses and helping direct the lost to Jesus. I just think it sometimes needs to be clarified to people the simplicity of scripture, that we are saved by trusting in Christ's sacrifice for our sins.
@jedimasterham2
@jedimasterham2 Жыл бұрын
@@Adam_A_ChristianYes, Cliffe does lean on the intellectual side, and I think a lot of us were drawn to God (and then trusting in Christ) through seeing empirical evidences and logical arguments. However, we also know that the wisdom of men is foolishness to God, and the simplicity of the gospel can be lost pretty quickly if we aren't careful. I think Cliff does a good job, but it is worth encouraging him to clarify that one is saved by God through faith in Christ, not by our works. It's easy to fall into a doctrine of works salvation, and it helps to specifically include in talks with students that no one is saved by working hard, but is saved through faith that Christ paid our penalty for sin.

Difference between sex and gender is that up until recently (in this last 40 -50yrs) the etymology of the word Gender was used in place of sex to differentiate male/female vs intercourse sex. So gender was used to address biological sex instead of intercourse sex. But there are essentially synonymous. Its not until academia and the introduction to trans/gender ideologies that this was altered to try to distinguish the two

Bonnie and Theo: The universe and everything in it has all the hallmarks of design. The fine-tuning of the universe for life is to such a ridiculous degree that the chances of life of any kind arising by chance are about the same as a tornado plowing through a junkyard and leaving behind a fully assembled 747 complete with passengers and crew, all fueled up and ready to take off -- and a runway to take off from. When we see a semiotic code, "John loves Michelle", carved in a tree, we don't write it off as wind, rain, or just odd growth patterns of the bark, we infer a mind behind it. But when confronted with the nearly infinitely more complex code of the human genome -- a 3.5 billion letter word -- it somehow has to be chance and necessity? The evidence of design is so strong that skeptical physicists have had to invent the multiverse -- something by its nature unobservable and for which there is far less evidence than for God -- to try to dissolve the theistic implications of fine-tuning in the acid of probability. There are infinite other universes with different constants, they say, and we just happen to be in the one where the constants favor life. But they have no way of knowing whether these other universes are even different at all; if the multiverse is real, it's possible for all we know that all these other universes are identical to this one or at least very similar, which would make the headache that fine-tuning causes skeptics literally infinitely worse. Others try to claim the universe created itself from nothing. Hawking: "Because there is a law of gravity, the universe can and will create itself from nothing." Though admittedly gravity is not nothing. Lawrence Krauss wrote a whole book about it, A Universe From Nothing, in which he camouflages a quantum vacuum as nothing to get where he wants to go. No physicists deny the theistic spookiness of fine-tuning. It was either Penrose or Polkinghorne who calculated that the odds against a universe that favors life coming into existence by chance are so great that if you turned all the matter in the known universe into paper, you still wouldn't have room for all the zeroes. None of the skeptical physicists deny this number or bother to try to calculate an alternative figure. Instead, they just try to come up with physical ways -- from outside the physical universe -- to make it go away instead of trying to be an honest broker and investigate BOTH possibilities. But when you have gotten to the point where you believe that the purpose of science is not primarily to do science but to get rid of religion, looking into that other possibility is strictly taboo.
