Is that medically approved that it helps?? As I'm using some elastic armband which covers whole elbow areas and I did not find that this compression helps, but maybe to use only band before elbow (the one from your link) would be better??
@AskDoctorJo5 жыл бұрын
The band one I show puts pressure on the tendons a little lower, so there is not pressure right at the joint. It usually helps most people.

I injured my elbow 4 months ago and had pain every day. I couldn’t even pick up a carton of orange juice without having pain. My doctor told me to check out your You Tube channel and start some strength training. I’ve been doing these exercises faithfully twice a day for the past month. This week was the first time in 4 months that I’ve been pain free! Thank you for all you do Dr. Jo!

I rarely ever leave comments, but I wanted to be to let you know how much I appreciate you for posting this video. I have been looking all over the place for a good complete source of practical exercises and tips for improving my tennis elbow. I wish I found your video first. It is without a doubt one of the best I’ve ever found. You are so thorough, your explanations of f what you want to do and why are so easy to understand, and your put everything I needed to find all in one great video. You also made something that is pretty dry to be interesting. It is super obvious that you not only know what you’re talking about, but you also know how to explain it to lay people. It’s also obvious that you love what you do, and you love helping people who are hurting and looking for relief. Thanks so much for sharing this video and for doing what you do.

The power of stretching can never be overemphasized. I was suffering from tennis elbow for at least 3 weeks now, not understanding why, but just doing what you suggested in the beginning of this video ( stretching with fist down ) 4 reps for me just for added measure, gave me instant relief. @@TerriG_104 what also helped me was lifting in a front lateral raise ( like what you would do to target your front shoulder muscle) but only gripping with my finger tips and having a slight bend in my elbow. I did about 5-7 reps for three sets with very light weight…3/5lb.

I have been in pain for awhile and I've been looking up videos but came across your just now and from following along with you I can feel a bit of relief already especially when I put pressure on that area, beforehand I would put pressure on the actual area that was bothering me and often wondered why no one had the brace in pictures on that area but after watching and understanding the reason it goes on that muscle I instantly put pressure there with my hand and oooh my I felt such an instant relief! It's was the best my arm has felt in a few weeks, I also did the light movements and the soft tissue mobilization exercises and just want to say thank you thank you thank you! Thank you for your videos Dr. Jo!! I fractured my radial head (elbow) a month ago due to a fall. No cast, a sling if I wanted (opted no), ROM, heat/ice were prescribed. I learned that it can take up to 10 -12 weeks for the fx to heal. The tendons/ligaments were also strained. I purchased the SIMIEN ArmBar & braces as a set. What a game changer! Being diligent with the exercises you prescribe for tennis/golfer’s elbow & the use of this tool has made a huge difference. Not a ‘feel good’ session but slowly feeling the progression. Heat really works for me 😊 try dry heat as in a dry cloth heated by a clothes iron

Hi Dr Jo - I find these exercises really help - thank you. My question is - I have elbow pain and shoulder pain (in the same arm) from two different injuries - what should I do?

Thank you Dr Jo! I raked leaves and bagged them for several hours about 6 or 7 weeks ago. I couldn’t figure out what was going on. I’ve done the stretches for a few weeks now and I wake up stiff every morning. Right elbow. Thank you! Feeling better now!

Same, it has been a couple of months for me, and there is no improvement after a bunch of RICE, stretches, etc. Maybe I keep reinjuring it slightly?

If u are working out maybe take some time off, let it rest completely. I think it's better than continuously cancelling its recovery everytime it tries to recuperate

Thanks again for a great tutorial. I've developed tendinitis in my right elbow as a result of working out (some pulling movements and curls will cause pain). Along with these exercises, should ice or heat be used at all ?
@AskDoctorJo5 жыл бұрын
You're welcome, and thanks.. Yes, I would heat it before the exercises, and ice afterwards. Good luck.

@@karricompton I am a decent badminton player. I have tennis elbow. It only hurts when I play. Do you think I will be able to continue playing ? What helped you in your recovery ? Reply plz
@karricompton2 жыл бұрын
@@userious2200 I have no idea since badminton is different and has different movements. You may try using theraband exercises, ice, Advil, and maybe go get a cortisone shot from your orthopaedist. If those don't work, rest it.

Hi Dr. Jo! Thanks for the very informative video. Will the use of a TENS unit help with tennis elbow? If so, how often should it be used? I'm doing the exercises in your video which is helping, but I'm feeling knot-like sensations in the extensor muscles. Thank you in advance.

But thanks to the Doc that gave me pills and ointment and thanks to YOU for these exercises now I'm almost 100% healed ❤😍😍 Thank you SO MUCH! I wish you all the best 💕

very helpful information. I’d experienced tennis elbow when I was playing tennis in my 40’s. Had acupuncture, rest for a couple of months, pain gone. Now in my mid 50’s, playing pickleball for last three months. Painful Elbow again. Acupuncture, rest, BFST wrap from Kingbrand, heat treatment. I will try your stretch. Thank you so much.
