I just read that for years Mastodon wouldn't play this song at shows because Brann said he found it too difficult to perform live. Watching him perform it here however you'd swear there was never a issue, he sounds absolutely phenomenonal.

​@Christopher Norris Brann from the interview: "Asleep In The Deep" was something we avoided for a long time because I was having a hard time figuring out how to do it. It's pretty difficult to do that beat and then sing on top of it. Its almost impossible. I've been practicing it over the last few years and I'm finally able to do it. We performed it live for the first time at the Adult Swim Festival last year during the pandemic. Now I can do it! I just had to practice it for three or four years. Haha!

Basicamente o Troy entra no meio dos versos do Brann e do Brent, fazendo a harmonia. Segue essa ordem: Brann (bateria): "I'm on fire now" Troy (baixo): "Say you'll remember her voice" Brent (guitarra): "And I can't get you over my mind" Depois segue a parte em que o Brann e o Troy cantam juntos (mas imagino que essa não seja complicada de entender): "Loose lips have fallen on deaf ears Loose lips have fallen on blind eyes"
