@@dazza761 He did it because wiping is an essential part of raiding, as it allows players to learn from their mistakes and improve their performance. It is crucial to have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn when wiping, as doing so can lead to eventual success so that after the wipe, they can take the time to analyze what went wrong and discuss improvements with the group, and identify specific mistakes, such as incorrect positioning or ability usage, and work on correcting them for the next attempt and then with a solid understanding of the encounter and improved communication and strategy, they can continue attempting the boss fight. They just need to be patient and persistent, as progression raiding can be a lengthy process. In other words they just need to get better at the game, and he is showing them that.

If Blizzard will ban people for Warlock teleport griefing, they should 100% ban this dude for pulling shit like this. OR make it where shit like this can't happen in the first place. Sure that one guy class med that they gave him a second chance but who knows in what context this is in. Like was this the first day they decided to give him a second chance and was it like one guy that approved him to join. He had sort of a point the first time he wiped since people were able to appeal their deaths and they were appealing for other reasons too which I guess you cpuld see as not actual hard core but this time it was basically pointless because what corruption is he referring to? Last time he was talking about how they were dying in battlegrounds but you can't do that in hardcore now so he doesn't have a point. All it shows is this was never about a message of corruption it's just an excuse for him to justify to himself that he needs to grief. Also by all accounts blizzard should ban him for griefing yet they aren't, glad I don't play hardcore let alone play any of their terrible games anymore.

So I personally don't play WoW, probably never will. But I did play LoL in the past. I know the experience of some griefer throwing a game, and you losing the last game (about 40 min of your life + your last win LP-wise, so total about 80 mins loss in essence), and I have been tilted after. It isn't just the fact that your gaming experience/relaxation time of the day was ruined, but also your time investment is lost, which hurts. If someone griefed and made me lose 100+ hrs of my time, I would legit rage... or quit. Saying it is just a game to minimalize and remove all value to your time and effort is not a reasonable stance here IMO. While, yes, this is a technically a true statement, it doesn't make this experience any less painful or make their frustration any less valid. Are there worse things, like losing a loved one or getting diagnosed with cancer? Yes, of course, without question. But, that is besides the point.

Comparing art to playing a video game way too much in a mode designed to waste your time. Alright man. Yeah no, I think those protestors trying to ruin old statues, art etc are way worse or even just something you've worked on that can become better in time and, who knows, maybe leave a mark in history if you're truly talented. Even if you're not talented, you working on a project like that sure has more value than killing very high level goblins for a magical don't-instantly-explode potato in a video game for 250 hours so you can walk in with 39 other overbuffed people and instantly clear content or die to a trash mob. It's really mean though, don't get me wrong. The guy is 100% an asshole. But for comparison... imagine if those people spent about...100 of those hours in a game, had fun, destressed. the rest at work, on projects and healthier hobbies. Or by all means all of those hours were games, or at least game modes, where they'd not lose all that time spent because some floating eyeball looked at them funny.

@@Matisaha I’m comparing it to it as a hobby, gaming is a hobby but it doesn’t change the fact that you’ve spent your time and undoubtedly created memories and attachments, those things aren’t a waste of time and if you really think so then you should probably stop wasting your time watching this man on the internet

Memories and attachments, sure.. and I didn't say gaming in and of itself is pointless or what not. My post was quite large though so, I guess there's that. "If those people had spent all those hours in other games/another game mode that respected their time, their bonds, their effort that's healthier." I play games. I just don't think starting over in a slow, grindy mmo because you didn't have 50 magical potatoes of not-insta-death is a point of pride or a healthy hobby.. it opens you up to situations like this. No. Painting a picture for 6 hours is worth more than 500+ in hardcore wow. painting a picture for 500+ hours in worth way, way more. And playing a game 40 hours and enjoying everything, being able to come back for patches ala Palworld, Valheim is worth more too. Let me be blunt man. I made memories and attachments in vanilla and normal classic both... and that's despite being able to walk back to the corpse when someone decides to grief you or their pet pulls 5 ogres. @@khanhnguyen-fo6df

Asmon changes his logic to whatever he feels like arguing that day. He's a twitch lawyer. He picks a side and ignores any previous comments he has made. Today he is Tiny's defense attorney, tomorrow he will call someone a complete piece of shit for something much smaller in scale than ruining hundreds of hours of free time for a dozen plus people for laughs and what that says about that person.

Asmon acting like someone doing this in one of his raids wouldn’t set him off like a nuclear device. I don’t play WoW, but people like this are a plague on every gaming community. Feeding them attention like this is just weird behavior.

I think the negative and hateful response to this kind of trolling is a lot more natural and expected than the pleasure that some derive from ruining others hardwork. You can't expect someone who's put in so much effort into something that they are passionate about, regardless of what it is, to take the high road, or to be calm and say to themselves "It's just a game". The reason is that their response to being trolled like this is because of how selfish and callous of human being you have to be to derive pleasure from disregarding other's work and efforts and the despair that brings. This might sound dramatic to some because those type of people will always respond with "Dude, it's just a game", but I wonder if they would feel the same is someone like this could troll like this, completely carefree and with no worry of repercussion, and strip your efforts away from you. Because we all know these types of people would gladly do so. I don't play WoW, but in any game or any activity whatsoever, people who derive pleasure from stripping others of the effort they've put into whatever they feel passionate about, is one of the strangest, and saddest things I've seen in the gaming community in general.

It’s very different. It’s a video game versus real life. What do you means it’s comparable? Stop blurring the line between real life and fantasy worlds like WoW. I don’t care if real people are playing the game. To say you should be liable for what you do or say on the internet is crazy. It also violates the 1st amendment of my countries Constitution. That’s is some communist logic right there pal.

IDK, by Asmon's logic on this one. Trying to justify that the community should be allowed to start offing itself seems odd. Obviously you'd feel differently if it had been a little "closer to home", 1000% guarantee if it happened to you your tune would be a /tad/ different. I liked how he pointed out how many hours they have to go again. The never visit that again. Yeah, Cody trolled some people on weekends. And they could try again next lockout. That sentimental blanket doesn't apply here. We should be griefing all Blizzard games because they are too slow? I know it took a while, but they did eventually jump.
