It’s beautiful. You can imagine the people that wore the shoes. I want to think that this was a girl who got these beautiful flats from her parents saving up, maybe for her 18th Christmas, and it’s her favorite gift ever. Or maybe a husband bought them as an anniversary gift for the love of his life, and then took her out to wear them out at a dinner or maybe dancing. Your craftsmanship is gorgeous and you give these shoes a second life. I want to think you restored these for a older sweet lady who was so ecstatic when she saw them restored, looking like the day she got them. I’m sure you make owners so happy with your art.

Whenever I see someone with sense of “fixing” instead of “replacing” I get impressed, cause I feel the same 😊 Nowadays it’s so easy to replace things and just throw what gets broken away, no wonder the planet is suffering of unnecessary pounds of trash being created everyday whilst we still take natural, organic material to create more. We give our planet no rest, so of course it’s going to die. Fortunately, people like this person, used to create something new out of something already existing will feel less responsible for such waste. The “leather cleaner” (it’s technically saddle soap) doesn’t smell chemical at all. Smells like soap. I’m not fond of leather polish. It’s got a stink too it that’s purely attributed to polish. More of a bite, but I generally like doing it outside to avoid the bite lingering.

dunno why everybody is making a fuss about what the shoes are for and how expensive they are. I think it's wonderful that someone spent years in these shoes, dancing and having fun, and fell in love with them to the point that they'd rather have them fixed up than just buy a new pair. That is love, and memories, being saved and handled with care. you are so gentle and meticulous with these ballet flats, it's obvious these shoes mean something to someone. Whether they intend to keep dancing, or just wear them, or maybe even pass them down to a family member, they look gorgeous and well-worn. I hope this pair has many more happy years ahead!

Uh Smiggs Thanks for asking:) Not yet, there are no visible stains but the smell is awful :( At this point I’ve almost accepted the fact that I’ll have to buy a new pair, but I’m still trying every single cleaning tip I see online. With all the products I’ve used, I’m pretty amazed to see that the shoe is still holding on though! Repetto’s are expensive and look delicate but they’re surprisingly sturdy... (I’d bought them at least 5 years ago and they were still in perfect condition, until the cat incident happened... *sigh)

Uh Smiggs Yes, it was the first thing I did (but without the water). I think it did a good job absorbing the cat pee and drying everything I couldn’t dry with a paper towel, but unfortunately didn’t remove the smell. Tonight I will be trying diluted white vinegar.

I really want to start taking care of my shoes so they can last My mom just bought me size 13 ballerina shoes but in black ( yea I know I got some big feet) but honestly this was so relaxing to watch and just amazing how you brought that shoe back to life 😳💕

👍Oooh so that’s what that small round brush is for....and ooooh my goodness, I’m supposed to wipe the saddle soap off...🤭NOT spray it down with a hose or dunk the whole shoe in a bucket of water. 😔😫🤨 I fell asleep...now I have to rewatch the whole video but Thank You. 🙏🤗💞🤗
