Lovely video. What a beautiful book! I think these engravings are made to be looked at slowly to soak in all the details, so they're perfect for ASMR. 11:05 Terra Australis was a hypothetical continent predicted to exist based on the theory that the land masses of the northern and southern hemispheres should be balanced. The real continent of Antarctica wasn't sighted until 1820.

Right? They are so gorgeous, I don't think I'll ever get tired of looking at them. Ah, I missed that info, thank you!

I love love love all your videos and as an astronomy enthusiast/educator I especially enjoyed this one!! I did want to note for anyone that the seasonal correction on the zodiac is right. The signs don't line up with their times because the sun is in the direction of the constellation whose "sign" it is (more or less). i.e. Gemini is a summer sign but a winter constellation because the sun is in the way of it in the summer. So based on the horoscope, yes it's mislabeled now (and likely why the mistake was made originally), but based on the location of those stars, it's correct now. Hopefully that made sense! Anyways, this has been a delightful channel to stumble upon!! I love maps and I've been using them before bed for weeks and they work like a charm. Thank you for all your hard work on these 💜

20:28 assuming darkness constitutes a dominant part of the day it should be winter. Accordingly on the opposite side there is more light what suggests it is summer.

I am practicing the cello while your video plays in the background. When I break , it is nice to hear the relaxing sounds. This also makes me curious , Cell, in the beginning of this fellows name and in the beginning of Cello , the way you pronounce it. I am wondering how you would pronounce Cello and what Cell means ? Thanks for the great video !
@MelangeASMR Жыл бұрын
Oh, I love that! Cello is such a beautiful instrument. And for your question, I would pronounce Cello with a "tsh" at the start. Cellarius is a Latinized form of the German name Keller and the issue with Latin pronunciation is that I never really know what the correct form is so I fall back on Italian rules. At the time, it was probably pronounced with a "ts", though.
