I've been diagnosed with Asperger's, and I found this while searching for a binaural beat video to help me relax so I can sleep tonight. Unfortunately, this soundtrack has too many layers of different sounds and caused sensory overload. Before you ask: I was using high-quality in-ear headphones. I was emotionally neutral. I had no other physical stimulation at the time.
@EntrainmentTherapyFree9 жыл бұрын
Teffle Fluff Yeah, everyone reacts differently to certain sounds. I noticed you actually like one of my other binaurals, so I'm glad you found a formula that works. Personally, I like very simple, clean beats also, and have a couple I'm planning on sharing when I get some extra time. Thanks for your comment, good luck with your journey.

I thought I was alone. This overstimulated me. Hearing so many things at once was frustrating. I'm happy to see that it helped other people, though. Stupid SPD 😢

This is amazing. I put this video on and it was like the world stopped. I immediately shut down and felt relaxed and my brain stopped being everywhere at once. As someone with mild ADHD, this helped tremendously.

Hope this helps cause I was diagnosed late with having some traits of Aspergers but I suspect I have more of HFA (High Functioning Autism) which would explain why I hardly seem to show any autistic traits expect for enduring some of the sensory overload. My melt downs had gotten better over time and I no longer feel much like a child in a grown woman's body. Been listening to other beats to help lessen these Autistic tics. Been getting some pressure around the back of my head after listening to this hopefully this is a normal side effect.

+The Odd one Ms.Odd-ball of G+ to you This beat is pretty strong so you may be feeling the effects of that in the back of your head. I wouldn't worry about it though since there really aren't any real "side effects" when listening to binaural beats. I can relate to the sensory overload. For me this helps in times when I feel sensory stimuli is getting the better of my nervous system, or when I just need to take a moment and regain some balance and clarity.

Female Aspies are known for being good at fitting in, actually. ^_^ My friend has HFA, while I have Asperger's Syndrome. We're both female. I've noticed that she tends to show her Autistic side a bit more strongly than I do. I know I'm late but just thought I'd mention this, since Asperger's is a higher-functioning Autism disorder.

+Entrainment Therapy Is this supposed to be played while sleeping? Im trying to help my grandson who is four years old and has sensory issues--ASD... I've been researching methods for almost two years, and have come up with several personalized ideas that have really helped him with cold/hot, coordination, and communicating his needs as he does not speak--YET. With that said, and the restrictions that he has on many things, i was wondering, how or what would be the best way to get him to listen to this, or, if listening while he's sleeping will work as this is the less invasive, to him. Thanks, in advance for any information that you can provide to me here. It is greatly appreciated.

This particular track was created to be used to calm the nervous system before sleep, but could also be played and looped during sleep as well with positive results. Isolation headphones tend to work a little better since you're removing the outside stimuli that can cause distraction or anxiety. If your kiddo doesn't like headphones, these tracks can also be played through a decent pair of stereo speakers to create a sort of soft ambiance during your bedtime and nap-time routines. Please feel free to reach out with any more questions or feedback.

@nawraskhalil27129 жыл бұрын
I suspect that I might have a highly functional form of autism, This is a very good video, is there anything else you suggest that might help?
@EntrainmentTherapyFree9 жыл бұрын
Nawras Khalil Well the first thing I would suggest is to really educate yourself about your own personal disorder. ASD effects people in so many different ways, so you want to really reflect and become comfortable with your problem areas. The same should be done with your strengths. Once you have a good handle on what issues resulting from your ASD are causing the biggest issues for you then you can attack them head on. Good luck with your journey.

This works but is a bit overstimulating for me as well. I have ADHD and these days it has been particularly bad. This was very calming for the first 30 seconds and almost immediately put my mind to rest before the beats started accelerating my heart rate. Still great work though. Thanks!

I've been having sensory overload like crazy, like when my 6 year old strokes my arm (which she is doing out of a place of love) I have that sick feeling like I have a fever of 103 and my skin is nauseous... lol does that make sense? Also her loud noises literally make me jump, and sounds hurt me... will this help with that? I feel like a horrible mother.
@EntrainmentTherapyFree9 жыл бұрын
RivenRaven Thanks for reaching out. Sounds like some pretty common symptoms of SPD (although I'm not a medical professional). I actually suffer similar symptoms myself, so I can certainly relate. This track would certainly be helpful with some of the anxiety during times of high audible stimuli. Especially with headphones, since they would help to block out a lot of the noise. It does sound like you may want to do some research on SPD so you can come up with some other coping mechanisms to help with some of these issues. Feel free to reach out if you have more questions. I have a good bit of experience with SPD and could point you in the right direction. Good luck with your journey.

@EntrainmentTherapyFree9 жыл бұрын
lamb998 How did you listen to the beats? Were you using headphones or speakers? What was your emotional state prior to listening to the beats? These types of beats work well as part a meditation/relaxation/deep breathing practice. You may also have other sensory needs, such as "deep pressur"e or "heavy work" that may need addressed. Good luck with your journey with self discover and treatment.
@lamb9989 жыл бұрын
1 earphone, wasn't really emotional
@EntrainmentTherapyFree9 жыл бұрын
That may be part of the issue then. If you only listened using 1 earphone you were not getting the binaural beats at all since they are created by having two separate tones, one in the left ear, the other to the right ear. You were only effectively listening to half of the track. Try a good pair of stereo headphones and let me know if you have different results.
