At 37:34 i can address the meaning behind Phantom Shinki's quote. While I didn't actually make the page myself, I did make this edit which included said quote. In specific it's referring to Hudson Foster who is the protagonist of the Five Nights at Freddy's book story "What We Found". In that book Hudson works at Fazbears Fright, aka the location in the third FNaF game with Springtrap. During the scene where he dies, a disembodied voice resembling his granny says "Oh, Hudson... your path is your path" as he burns alive in an oven.

Why do people hate Fandom so much? The only real issue i’ve had is the ads. I do have a terrible experience with it, owned a wiki before, but thats because of the game I chose playerbase consists of 90% children. But that’s an issue with the games community, not fandom.

The people who manage the site REALLY don’t like it when you try and move your stuff to a self-hosted wiki, so they vandalize the wiki themselves (by rolling back all of the info a few years and making it impossible to change back) when they find out about it. I think this had happened with the Minecraft wiki when they announced they would be moving. Fandom is also just an all around poorly designed site, with ads covering everything and links to other unrelated wikis pasted all over the page.

In addition to the stuff mentioned above, Fandom has in recent years started adding random shit to some wiki pages that cannot be removed. Before I completely jumped ship from editing/using Fandom wikis and started using Indie Wiki Buddy I saw them add autoplaying videos to some pages, add random polls to the middle of pages that completely broke the page on mobile, add "frequently asked questions" sections that I'm 99% sure were made by AI, start auto-redirecting wiki homepages to their awful "community" feature that's just full of small children posting random shit instead of the actual content of the wiki, and I've heard that they added sponsored content temporarily to a couple wiki pages. The idea that at any point Fandom staff can just go to a wiki you run, hijack a page with random AI generated videos and info that are usually wrong, and completely prevent you from removing it is fucking insane and I think it's a big reason why so many big wikis have been migrating off the site recently.
