Start from the beginning guys. AC 1 begins with the character Altair and revolves a long standing feud between The Assassins and templars. Don't let me spoil it.

I wouldn’t start from the beginning. Most people don’t know that this game series actually had a story that they scrapped after they saw Call of Duty making money releasing a game every year or two. So they followed that formula of releasing a game with no continuous story every year and people unfortunately ate it up.l so it really doesn’t matter where you start now. Every game has its own story and what used to be the main story is loosely connected to the point where it doesn’t even matter anymore.

And what’s your point? The vast majority of historical figures in history are people you don’t pay attention to or have heard of. And it’s the fact we know so little about him is what makes him a great choice for the fictional narrative of AC and being part of the shadowy brotherhood.
@ak-nt2tr
@ak-nt2tr 18 күн бұрын
@@Highonlife24 that doesn't make Yasuke a great choice. according to historical record, he was not renowned samurai with a last name, but servant and sword bearer. How on earth is Yasuke, the only black man in Japan at the time that is more than 6 ft tall supposed to be an assassin in Japan? thats just messed up. You know the only reason they picked him is because he is black and they think blacks and women are lesser and in need of free handouts.

@@ak-nt2tr Having a last name is not a requirement for a foreign Samurai, and he’s important because he was the only non Japanese witness and combatant in the Honno Ji incident. And that does make him a good choice because of the mystery around him and ti build the fictional narrative on top of the little we do no about him. So your logic is silly.

If you want to do a reaction series for Assassin’s Creed i’d suggest to start at the very beginning with Assassin’s Creed (2007). It’s a very long journey with a lot of games in different timelines, but just react to them in release order: - Assassin’s Creed - Assassin’s Creed 2 - Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood - Assassin’s Creed Revelations - Assassin’s Creed 3 - Assassin’s Creed Black Flag - Assassin’s Creed Rogue - Assassin’s Creed Unity - Assassin’s Creed Syndicate - Assassin’s Creed Origins - Assassin’s Creed Odyssey - Assassin’s Creed Valhalla - Assassin’s Creed Mirage - Assassin’s Creed Shadows (still unreleased for now) Also I didn’t even mention all the DLC’s and spinoff games outside of the mainstream, there are a lot of those aswell! So yeah it’s a LONG journey, but really worth it in my opinion! Assassin’s Creed will always hold a very special place in my heart and it’s something i’ll always be passionate about! I really hope you guys will check it out, if you do I’ll guarantee you right here and now that I will absolutely be there for every single second of it!

Short version of AC games is they are in the future and people and our ancestor’s lives are readable through our dna that machine can read. The machine simulates their lives to fill in the blanks of history. It allows the user to completely feels and think like the ancestor did in each situation. A lot of the games are about visting ancestors that came into contact with a lost powerful artifact to figure out where it is in the present day.

@@zarkokaradzin5380 I'm going to try and explain as best I can. Yasuke wasn't a slave he was employed by jesuits. When he came to Japan Nobunaga took the same liking to him as Tomo Shōrin. Tomo Shōrin was a sumo wrestler and impressed Nobunaga so much he gave him a stipend (a Samurai's wage) and a house, sword and everything else except the actual rank of Samurai. Yasuke wanted to stay in Japan and since Nobunaga took a liking to him and was impressed by his fighting skills let him stay. Nobunaga made Yasuke a sword bearer, I'm going to use some else's explanation of the role “Like in Europe, a weapon-bearer held onto the lord's weapon, and handed it to him when asked for/needed.” He would also have attended meetings and was given permission to carry Wakizashi. He spent 3 years in Japan and did nothing of significance, they didn't even give him a full name. 3 incidents are worth motioning The Honnō-ji Incident being of the most worth. There is 0 documentation about him after 1582 and 0 documentation on him ever being made a Samurai, some people like to interpret Nobunaga giving him a stipend as making him a Samurai even though we know non Samurai were given a stipend. He was never a slave, a privileged servant is a better description.

Kaneko Hiraku (professor at the Historiographical Institute of the University of Tokyo, the most prestigious historical research institution in Japan) includes in his book below, paired with the translation in Thomas Lockley's book (which is correct): The meaning of the word stipend is not supposed to prove Yasuke was a samurai all by itself. What proves Yasuke was a samurai is not that he received a samurai stipend, but that he received a samurai stipend and carried Nobunaga's weapons which was usually the job of a koshō and koshō were samurai and had and fought with a katana at Nijō and he was mobilized and followed Nobunaga on the Takeda campaign of 1582 and remained by Nobunaga's side even after Nobunaga dismissed all his "ordinary soldiers".

That book is trash and filled with lies, so I wouldn't quote anything from that book. There are no known records of Yuskae being a Samurai. He never even fought in a battle that we know of. There is literally nothing on the guy. And he only was in service for fithteen months, people need to stop fantasizing about this dude being something he never was.

Why? People romanticize Japanese culture all the time. Even the praise about being a Samurai when in a lot of text they talk about how they were horrible people that abused their positions and power. Debating whether or not Yasuke was a real samurai shouldn’t even be an issue. People seem to have no problem suspending disbelief when playing games like Stellar Blade, Ghost of Tsushima, Red dead, Spider man an so many other games but now all of a sudden, realism and historical facts matter?

@@TNTGamingonline I go off of data, so you can discuss all you want, but it won't make it true. There is literally nothing on him, just some one liners in one book and a two almost three lines in another. The short answer, we don't know. There two likely outcomes : one - history was destroyed (maybe), two - he wasn't even worth mentioning (also true). The man was only in Japan for three years (that's all), fifteen months in service with the lords. So you guess why there isn't mountains of "documents" on him. He wasn't there long enough to be or do anything note worthy.

There’s no historical data on Jin Sakai, Arthur Morgan, Eve, Alex Mason, Master chief, Solid Snake,Ryu hayabusa and so many other game characters. I get it if people say, having a black guy in Japan breaks immersion but they aren’t. People are debating historical relevance as if it matters in a video game.

Yasuke-Based on the historic sword bearer who was taken to Japan by an Italian missionary. On arrival, he went to see Oda Nobunaga (Bad Mfer who took the canons and created a strategy to destroy the other clans to become the shogun and unify Japan under his rule). When Nobunaga-san saw the African with the Italian, he was in awe-so much so that he thought he was a white man in disguise and had his people bathe him, thinking he was covered in ink. When he realised this 6-foot giant black man was legit, he named him "Yasuke", offered him a home and a short sword and made him a vassal of his clan. From what is known, Yasuke was left to roam with an assistant and was protected by Oda. Despite being a short sword holder, he was never officially a samurai. Assassin's Creed takes history and creates reimagined fiction. A lot of people are butt hurt over this, but I think it's quite a story to tell - Imagine if Yasuke was the secret weapon of Oda, this badass African who stands tall over the general-looking samurai - it just adds to the mysticism of Yasuke and the power of Oda. It's an incredible series, but it is VERY DEEP - You could get into games, books, movies - all sorts of lore is available. If you do choose this path - go with game order - it's nice to try and do by era, but the story could get a bit mixed up if you deviate from the order the games released.

People aren't mad because he's black. They're mad because Ubisoft is trying to push an agenda. If they had done it in the pre-woke era, people wouldn't have been as upset (especially if it turned out a great game.) People are mad (even other black people) because they know that Ubisoft is trying to use black folks. And people know what they're doing, and are tired of it. That's why Disney has lost billions, because people are getting tired of these agendas.
@TheWordIsMarc
@TheWordIsMarc Ай бұрын
@@Anti-Alphabet_Mafia On Disney, I 100% agree they aimed to hit the D&I quota - With this, it's somewhat different because they've got the option to render a fictional story for the character. They can alter his story to fit the time period, and because he is new to the land and customs, he has something in common with a large majority of the audience. This is different from saying The Little Mermaid, where it was a simple swap out. With a large majority of the world being pushed into the D&I space it's no surprise that these conversations wouldn't come up - but it creates a mass difference if the content is addressed. The alternative, in this case, is using another British White Guy-William Adams-which has been done a few times-probably the most often throughout the series. Hence why, I think it's reasonable for Ubisoft to turn around and find another possible option outside of the British white guy or the traditional Japanese guy.

@@TheWordIsMarc I get what you're saying, brother. I know you are thinking with good intentions. But not the people who are in charge of making the game. If you looked up who are the people in charge of the narrative you'd understand why people are this upset. It's clear that they're only pushing this for THE MESSAGE. Like I said before, if they had done this pre-woke era I don't think this many people would be upset. But since they're doing it now, people are more wary. Especially with all the they/thems and allies in charge of our gaming industry these days.

From what i know he got caught up in a single battle and as all the samurai fought he immediately tried to run away then he surrendered, his only training was pirate training and brawling. Cool characters but it's honestly racist to make a assassins creed game without the main characters being both Japanese And it's also decriminalisation to Japanese people especially who will play the game as a foreigner who brutalizes them and is somehow more skilled in their ways than their own people.
