There are lots of reasons to buy a car: style, speed, practicality, efficiency, and they all are totally valid. But when a car serves no purpose beyond making the driver happy at all times, few cars satisfy the way the V12 Vantage S does.

Similar to a Mustang in it’s distinctness; when you hear it you know what it is. I also like how the doors scissor up and outward just slightly enough to notice.

Finally getting around to watching this and holy crap, another spectacular review. Your Vanquish review already sold me on wanting an Aston Martin, but this one is even more spectacular. Your points are so spot on. These reviews on The Smoking Tire are hands down my favorite on KZbin. Keep up the flippin' fantastic work. Really hope you can get your hands on a Jag F-Type R Coupe. Love the comments about people buying sports cars for "someone else". I feel like this explains why so many buyers are choosing to go with DCT for "performance reasons", or for new models with sacrifices like EPS that are supposedly performance oriented.

Matt, such a great fan of Aston Martin and 99% of what you and your team do under all the various guises around the internet. I must watch this video minimum twice a month since it was uploaded. I'm 17 and can't really comprehend the tactility of exotic or on limit driving, and so my love of cars is an emotional one. I'm totally reviewer and brand bias but for me this video is close to perfection in both message and execution. I hope one day you glance over this and understand my appreciation of the content you so thoroughly produce; especially while much of driving is still an aspiration. Loving the one takes btw and would like to hear about the manual conversion on your vanquish when it's back.

I absolutely adore the small, compact nature of this car. Mind you, there's nothing small about the engine that lurks underneath. It strikes a virtually impeccable balance between being light, small, and nimble, while also being tremendously powerful. Mr. Farah, I take issue with you saying that Aston Martin is not a flashy brand, I think it is very much a wealthy playboy sportscar, and it is very flashy in that color yellow. But then again, I am a car nerd and my POV is skewed. Also, I like the idea of filming at night, it makes that yellow paint job really pop. I've been watching Matt Farah all the way back in the days of Garage419, and honestly, I think this is the best review Matt has done. I find the whole idea of "automotive therapy" very inspiring. I'm also loving the night scenery, just makes it unique from the million other reviews done in the day. Absolutely great filming!
