Love this channel and how you guys are making skin care/knowledge more accessible. However, I’d like to inform fellow viewers interested in this device. This device would probably be effective if you’re a Fitzpatrick I-III with dark hair. Otherwise, if you’re a Fitz IV-VI, you risk burning yourself causing a whole different set of issues like scarring and hyper/hypopigmentation. This device doesn’t allow you to adjust/customize the fluence (energy) and frequency to suit your specific skin tone, hair colour and hair density. The wrong energy level can burn you, cause hypopigmentation because the energy was not strong enough to ablate the hair follicle, or even cause MORE hair growth. A feature like this would lessen any adverse effects. What can also increase hair growth is the frequency at which these IPL sessions are being done-the hair growth cycle consists of three stages, and it’s important to catch the follicles in the growing phase otherwise you just end up giving yourself a wax. Every 4-6 weeks is standard. It’s also important to wear eye protection during treatment and to do this away from reflective surfaces. They say it’s safe to use without eye protection, but prolonged exposure will cause gradual eye damage, just like how our screens do the same. Lastly, the pre- and post-care wasn’t discussed. It’s important that people do not use any active ingredients on the treatment area (especially the face!!) for a few days before and after; use SPF30+; and check that any medications/supplements they are taking do not make them photosensitive. There’s a lot more, but this comment is already very long. I hope it helps someone make an informed decision. Source: I am a cosmetic nurse

Do you have any tips to share when looking for a place that offers laser? Any specific questions to ask about the laser they use? Thank you soo much!!
@angdawn Жыл бұрын
@@carlybarranco7122 you can ask them what active medium their laser uses. Simply, the active medium is what helps produce and amplify the beam. Lasers that use ruby, IPL, and alexandrite are best for Fitz I-III. Diode and Nd: YAG are safe for all Fitz types. Or simply ask what device they use and do your own research, and base your decision on what you discover. You can also ask them how many sessions on average do they start seeing hair reduction with their device. If they say less than 4, RUN. Take your money elsewhere. Each hair follicle on our body is going through its own growth cycle, so we can’t catch them all within a handful of sessions. Also, ask the person you’re doing the consult with if they have hands-on experience with the device or any other treatment, or if they’re simply a salesperson (which is common in the aesthetics industry). Lots of companies will hire salespeople to push/pressure clients into buying just to make a buck.

I’ve had the Kenzie IPL device for a couple months now and I stand by it! I can’t wait to see my full results after 12 weeks but even after just a few weeks my hair is growing back so much slower and the hair that is growing back is so much more fine!!
@sophiedoviak998 Жыл бұрын
I do recommend making sure to use it while there is some stubble, not when the hair is too long but a little stubble has made me notice more visible results

Does it work in the bikini area? Or like doing a Brazilian?
@sophiedoviak998 Жыл бұрын
@@A.n.n.n.a yes it does! Definitely a little more sensitive + you have to take into consideration the coloration difference between your skin and hair color so it’s possible you would need to use a lower setting for some areas if you have any darkening!

IPL changed my life ❤ I wake up and one chore is already done! I save time in my life not removing annoying body hair anymore! 100/10 recommend!! ❤❤❤

I started out years ago with the Tria & then 2 years ago got the Silkn Flash n Go IPL, which doesn’t hurt. My arm pits are hairless & I’m very happy with that. My legs still have some hair,but most is gone, Permanently. It’s really a lovely feeling not to have to worry about shaving anymore. Can be used to get rid of a mustache & chin hairs.😉

If you are a girl & don’t like the hair there. Remove it. I’m 60, have been on this hair removal journey for years. Got rid of body hair permanently and have NO REGRETS. You will feel cleaner & smoother. BTW, guys are attracted to girls who shave that hair off. I recall my husband’s cousin talking about a high school classmate who had a mustache. Everyone called her “ scruffy”.

I like how it makes use of light to remove the hairs but since there is too much exposure to such light. can it cause our cells to mutilate?
Unrelated but the little giraffe in the backround is so cutee🥰

Yes, I gotta know about this kenzzi IPL three years ago. I still haven't bought it because it was not available in my area or online. Planning to buy it now as I haven't researched a lot since last year so I might find it now.

does this work if i have some patches of ingrown hair? or should i figure out a way to deal with that first? from the science of it im assuming it should be fine? also is there any risk of any kind of scarring and discoloration of sorts or is it risk-free?

Great Video, thanks!! 😊 What I wonder is - if you would use it on your upper lip, wouldn't it lighten or "remove" the pigment on the lipline?

Can anyone tell me if I should be using an Epilator for pubic hair?
@jennyyan7396 Жыл бұрын
IPL isn't as effective or safe as laser hair removal. Laser hair removal can be painful, but it lasts after several sessions and works on any skin or hair color. IPL is okay if you don't mind to keep doing it. For more of a permanent/lasting option, I'd choose laser. (Speaking from experience) That's why it costs so much more. Keep in mind to wear protective eyewear doing both though.
@Zhao328 Жыл бұрын
Laser hair removal: $200+ USD PER SESSION or IPL: One-time purchase of the device, could be $200 - $400 USD or so. Personally, I had no choice lol. Financially, laser hair removal really is for the rich because I can't afford spending more on hair removal (as much as I love it) than my own groceries. Here's the thing though, IPL WORKS! I did my treatments in 2020 and my life literally was changed. When I wake up and don't have to shave, it makes me as happy as it would if someone did my laundry and placed it away for me. When I go to sleep, I can feel how SMOOTH and SOFT my legs are! IPL is a lesser investment, but it will be worth and it does work! Just be careful of high-melanin (dark) skin with high-melanin (dark) hair because that can cause burns rather than hair removal.
@3lolo377 Жыл бұрын
Yeah that’s the thing, we know laser is better but not everyone has that kind of privilege (in terms of money and/or time to invest). So IPL is a great compromise ❤
@gcfe6003 Жыл бұрын
Laser does not work on any hair colour tho. Similar as IPL it needs to have contrast otherwise it does not work. My best friend has light hair and laser simply does nothing on her.

I really want to get an IPL or epilator I used wax and even then it was inconsistent cuz I had to get the tweezers out, I've tried cream as well and it was messy also missed bits and honestly I don't want to keep spending so much on creams and wax either
@winterlover89 Жыл бұрын
I would advise against an epilator unless you have an extremely high pain tolerance! I have a high pain tolerance but I still couldn't bear it. It's as painful as waxing except it takes so much longer. Would not recommend.

@thedivinecottage Жыл бұрын
Your beauty doesn’t relay on your lips ! Two tones lips can be really beautiful and in eras like the 90s some will even put different color lipsticks on each lip to create a two tones . It’s been really hot lately so maybe you have some sun damage on your lips and that’s why they are changing color . Try using a lip balm with SPF on the darker side that way they can even out . I use turmeric to help lighten any scars or dark spots and I heard that can work on lips too . Be careful and know that you are still beautiful 💗

Anyone watching this video should search for "non sponsored" reviews and you will get an accurate review of this product. Your review lacks credibility and is FAR from a comprehensive. Hair removal in three weeks is NOT possible... period! Even per this products instructions you were months away from the time required. People, do yourself a favor and look at unbiased reviews from someone not getting a kick-back and save some money.
