My husband and I are both atheists and we are celebrating Christmas with our Christian friend. Most theists and atheists are more alike then different. We both want to see less poverty, less suffering and so on. We both like giving and getting gifts. We both like holidays and we both like spending time with friends and family.

Mr. Winnslaw, thanks for this video. X-mas time is always a frustrating time of year for me. I wish I had seen this video earlier. :)

Me & My wife like Christmas because of the good foods & the sweet deals on Black Friday. Plus I get tons of gift cards that I turn in for cash! My daughter likes it too for the material things because that's what it really all about. Without some of these sweet sales during the holidays a lot these business would be hurting.

I've always celebrated Christmas. As ridiculous as i find Religeon, i find the Season brings us together as mere Human Beings. It does have a special place in my Heart, just not from the bs point of view. 🙂👍

I agree with you. I have said those same things in the past. Although I do find a nostalgic feeling celebrating certain holidays. And also it keeps business from making us work on certain holidays. I would like to see less Christian inspired holidays and more real inspired holidays, ones driven by success of the human race. Trends sometimes can be nice, I do enjoy separating myself from the mainstream, but everyone working towards a single goal can be rewarding too.

Just because a holiday is a Pagan/Cult/Religious holiday doesn't mean that Atheists don't celebrate it. On the Atheist Experience some say they celebrate still and others don't. The fact is just because you are Atheist doesn't mean that you don't spend time with your family. I happen to like Christmas with people giving and celebrating. I don't like the part about celebrating something I don't believe in. The two things are separate.

i dont gift or recieve gifts on holidays. its an offence to me and i wouldnt accept islamic gifts on muslim holidays, it would be the same thing ,offencive. i'd say thanks but no thanks .if someone gave you 12 channukah gifts on all 12 days and knew you were an atheist would you accept them or would you kindly decline and remind them that youre atheist and uncomfortable recieving religious gratuities.

Well technically while Christmas started off as a religious holiday it is now so secular and commercialized that it is no longer just a religious holiday. Christmas could also be looked at as a social holiday. As an atheist I celebrate Christmas just as more of a social thing not so much religious. Another way to put it you can celebrate Saint Patrick's day but not believe in leprechaun's or lucky charm's. Not that it matter's if you celebrate it or not though really. My main point is you could look at it from different area's that will change you're outlook in the end and by you I am referring to people in general not you as a person.

EVERY DAY IS A DAY TO CELEBRATE THAT JESUS DIED ON THE CROSS FOR US AND I WANT TO TELL YOU THAT GOD HAS PUT A LOVE IN ME THAT SURPASS ALL UNDERSTANDING AND GOD LOVES YOU AND SO DO I

We all celebrate every day because it is a day in our lives that we can use to either make a difference or do something different.

If jesus died for us why are we ALL still dying? Apparently it wasn't enough.
