Love the lush paint work on the fenders, the dark burgandy, white base and gold pin stripe. I want one. Atlas Goldline. They should have Atlas Goldline races
@mebeasensei
@mebeasensei 5 жыл бұрын
I'm willing to bet, if you electrify these Goldlines with a battery, and keep the traditional paint and design (absolutely keep the old details) you would sell millions. (I would allow solid cranks and no cotterpins, but the look must be the same, not destroyed like Enfield)

@@Hillary Clintub I thought the technique was interesting because I never saw it before and it seemed to get a good result and shape of the area being painted ( looked like a thick porcelain type of paint). I am sure there are many ways of accomplishing the same result, that method was so simple it was almost genius. I am not sure if that factory even had electric lol

To everyone saying this is a ruthless country, this and most other similar bicycle factories around the developing world are the heritage of Colonialism. Raleigh of England built most of the factories and introduced the labor practices. Let's be real about who is ruthless.

This is just old fashioned factory floor production. These people are factory workers, no more or less. They put on no airs. They work at the bottom of their trade. They are poor people with families to feed and no education. There is no ladder for them to climb, there is no advancement, there is no suggestion box. Many have only the cloths on their backs. There is no union there is no OSHA, there is no cafeteria. They earn a pittance by the sweat of their brow. You would have to fight them hard to take their job from them. I salute them and their efforts.

When you look at the standards that they need to work in most would be discussed to some point. But if you turn the clock back in time you would quickly see what we consider developed countries like ours in the west doing things the exact same way. Back when our parents and grandparents worked in the exactly the same factories. I still remember when i was young my uncle was happy when he got himself a job working at the local Ford Factory. Ford was always well known for paying well but they expected you to work . And the working conditions were not so much different to what you see here.

@@carsreview7729 Feel better about writing curse words childishly to denigrate someone else's opinions? India will not improve unless you learn to take constructive criticism and improve accordingly. And yes - rules do make things safe - as long as they are enforced.

The problem is when they do that, buy the safety gear it costs a lot of money, and then the price is no longer cheap for those bikes, I am from Holland Europa, and back in the days we worked here also like that, but laws and unions make that impossible, so now all that kind of work is made in country's like India, i dont approve it, dont't get me wrong! There is another billion people to take ones place. And as long as we can get inexpensive products we don't give a shit. Boycotting doesn't do a damn thing. A lot of these comments seem to be coming from pampered people. If you have ever done work like construction, painting, auto mechanics, plumbing then you would know that you and your clothes get filthy all day long. Your clothes look like rags after a few months, your nails are almost always dirty, you sweat, you stink, and all that doesn't matter because you have a job to do and you do it. These bikes look well made and the workers take pride in their product. They are doing the kind of work that our great grandfathers did in America to build our nation and give all these modern day snow flakes the leisure and wealth to sit around playing video games all day. When America squanders the advances given to us by the hard workers of the past we will have to work just as hard as these people to catch up again.

Hard work , agree . Earlier lorry drivers were treated like rags ..today they are given A/C driving cabin,there productivity has increased no ? Times change , we need to change. If workers were given uniform ..why will they not wear it ? they will wash it too . Invest in 2 pairs per year ..it will look neat and customers will be happy too to give orders . the torn cloths worn by workers give the " impression" that they are not treated well and no customer will like to buy products from suppliers who treat his employees as rags.
