I really like this format where the scientist talks intimately about their past work experience without interruption. It's very informative.

Wonderfully lucid explanation. This guy not only knows his shit but can explain it exceedingly well.

If there were more professors like Dr. Pritchard, the world would be a happier place! I could listen to this guy for hours. :)

Thank you so much. This was the clearest explanation I have ever heard. Would you be able to help me answer a question? I am always unable to visualize the following part I am about to mention. If I remember correctly you said that when we don't look at the atom it acts as a wave, likewise electrons could be used and also act a wave. I can't visualize this because I imagine the atom as a single whole. How can an electron split or act as a wave, or is it a bombardment of multiple atoms or electron combined with the 50% chance of going one way or the other that helps make this fringes appear.

* In an atom, by a single unit, I mean a proton with a probabilistic cloud of electrons surrounding it.

Uncertainty plays a role. When thinking of problems like this it’s useful to keep in mind that information processing is also happening in any physical or electromagnetic system. You can only know an element’s location or velocity. Not both.

You could figure this stuff out pretty easy. No math necessary. KZbin can help. He didn't really say anything complicated, but he did use big words which makes it sound complicated. lol. it's not that hard.

Thanks for repeating other people's lame theories on atoms. God Based Magnetism on KZbin already explained atoms correctly
