I've had this combination for about 5 years now (DVX200 and Atomos recorder). Let me tell you very easy to use and the quality is so much cleaner. 5 years on and I'm still using this on paid jobs. The Atomos has kept this camera current. I love being able to just take off the recorder/monitor and view shots like a combined touch screen monitor. I'm nearly 60 now. So I struggle to see very small camera viewfinders. In either bright daylight. Or in dark interiors like say in a concert hall where there is no light where you are set up. Because the stage is lit only. If anything I'd like Panasonic to Upgrade the DVX200. I have since bought GH5S (2) and a GH6. But I love the DVX for it's zoom, XLR inputs. Trust me so easy to learn. HDMI out from camera to HDMI in on recorder. Press record on the touch screen and pause when you want it to stop until next take. Same as trigger on camera.

@@reticulan5 thank you for encouragement. I really am at beginner level if i'm honest. I love the zoom also. The other day i recorded on it on HD for 1st time and the colours looked a bit faded and weak. Do i need to change the settings or do post production editing for this?
