Great review. This could be the good assembly reference video to the Razor Crest, just need to include card with URL in the shipping box. ;) Those wing connectors look great. An optional PCB to act as a distribution board having just the wing connectors and jumper pins to route wires to a flight controller would be nice option. (breaking out outer circularity to an optional separate board) Love the unmentioned easter eggs. 9:51 photo boom (left to right) 12:55 camera acrobatics

Just got my V2 today. They've simplified the PDB significantly. It's purely a distribution board as it no longer has any BECs on it and they've done away with the electrical connectors on the wings, with the power and signal connections being on a 10 pin JST which can be unplugged from the PDB for wing removal. Not as satisfying a solution but should work ok.

Interesting, I've missed there is a V2 out there, but its good they are making changes, hopefully for the better.

You liked it so much and the video looked good so ... the price dropped - decided to get it! Using a Matek 765 on Ardupilot wo/the distribution board. Easier to make a 'Y' for the motors. Only problem I have so far - the front hatch has a latch and the the rear one lifts so I've already had to reglue the latch pin thing as I keep trying to pull it open... :) Today's maiden, decided to ROG off asphalt. No problem. Flew great. Used 8 - 18650's to make a 4s. Almost to the front wo/a camera. With the camera, moves aft less than an inch. It really flew nice! Thanks for the review!

As far as manufacturer, I have no idea but they are good quality ones. Capacity is 3450 so it's a 6900ma 4s pack...

I didn’t get the fpv version kinda wish I had but I did replace the nasty servos they gave us . I used the zohd 9gm metal . Also was thinking about using that back camera mount but turning it to face forward and putting my fpv rx there . Just need to chop off a bit of the small end it hangs over about a inch . It still bolts one nice and tight.

Could you explain the reason for not using compass with Arduplane? Or maybe you have already in some of your videos.
@EnglishTurbines3 жыл бұрын
If the vehicle is constantly moving, you don't need a compass because the GPS can provide an accurate heading....🤔🤔😳🇬🇧🇬🇧

@@EnglishTurbines Ok. Thanks.
@ArxangelRC3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, what Turbines said!
@YuriGorokhov2 жыл бұрын
The GPS heading is only accurate assuming you are flying in perfect conditions (no wind). As with wind your plane may be drifting in a direction other than its true heading. But that's no reason not to use a compass, it's just maybe redundant in most conditions. With that said, are there more reasons to not use a compass?

I guess you are still working on that Atomic Whale Killer article for your blog cause I could not find it. latest one were the lame duck and Mustang. I had been looking for a purchase link there or here but I was blinded and did not find it. UPDATE: my brother found it far below than what I had expected in a section called: PARTS LISTS I would suggest to put such plane purchase link on the top cause I usually click on those just to check prices if they would fit in our clubs budgets or not cause we tend to buy 4 to 5 of the same plane where 1 is planned to use as a spare part donator in case things went wrong. Saves a lot of time and headaches.

I hate to be that guy. But.... Rc airspace is typically 0-400 ft above ground level and commercial and private airspace is 1000 ft and up giving g a 600 ft cushion between to avoid collision. Now I get it most people don't fly near air traffic and bla bla bla... but the Beaurocrats are focused on this hobby now because of this kind of post and commercial drone interest And the hobby will never be left alone now , so buckle up... here we go
